92 Chapter 92 - Some Revelations

I was watching that whole scene, everyone seemed to be talking to calm down about what happened yesterday, while I just took one of the cookies on the table and ate it. It wasn't long before there was more movement around, with the main door opening, while my rival, Arthur, and Princess Tessia got in.

Arthur seemed to notice my presence right away and walked towards me, clearly looking at my damaged leg. "Fey... Are you okay?"

"Of course I am, if it wasn't for your brother I'd be a lot worse than this." I was honest, letting out a sigh and then questioning. "You seem to have a calmer reaction than I expected, why is that?"

Princess Tessia was also approaching us, but Arthur answered me. "We arrived here at dawn and tried to understand what happened. Luz and Claire explained things to us. We had left this morning to talk to Virion who was in my training room."

"Did they really explain everything?"

"Feyrith!" Kathyln exclaimed. "Do you think they would hide what happened!?"

My expression showed confusion by her reaction, Arthur and Princess Tessia were just like me, but obviously for different reasons. In response to that, Luz raised his hands, palms showing, as if he was surrendering.

"He's right to be doubtful after what he saw yesterday, Kathy. After all, I didn't really explain everything to them. Like I told Feyrith, now is the time for you to ask and I'll explain." His words struck some with doubt.

"Wait, what happened besides the near-destruction of the Trinity Hall?" Arthur asked, approaching his brother.

"Claire and I decided not to tell you right away so you wouldn't wake up those who are hurt, and be super worried for 'no reason'." Luz replied, with a slight smile. "Anyway, sooner or later you would hear about it, but now that the situation is slightly calmer and everyone is here, visible, safe and sound, it will be better not to have any problems."

"You decided to withhold information? Man, I just got out of a meeting with Virion! It was better if you had told us earlier!" Arthur exclaimed, as Princess Tessia grabbed his sleeve.

"It's just that the situation would be better explained if I spoke directly to Virion, which will happen anyway, because of what happened with Alea." His sentence left me in complete surprise.

"Alea? Lance Aureate?" I tried to externalize my thoughts, but princess Tessia seemed to look at me and shake her head, as if this wasn't the best time to bring that situation up.

"Okay... so what else was there that you didn't mention?" The Eralith princess sat next to me.

"Curtis and Feyrith weren't the only ones hurt. Dora was another... but in her case... it was... hm... decapitation."

"WHAT?!?" Arthur and the princess exclaimed together, looking at Doradrae who was looking away, one of her hands touching her neck.

"In short, if it weren't for me, I think there would have been deaths in this incident, instead of some little injuries." The vice captain explained, looking now at everyone else. "That... and it looks like my runes have become common knowledge among the committee members."

"My god, now I understand why you didn't want to tell..." Arthur's response left me wide-eyed.

"Did you know that? The runes?" Curtis said exactly what I was thinking, and the auburn Leywin just nodded.

"He and I share the same house, and have travelled together since we know each other. Did you think I would never notice that he has countless runes tattooed on his back?" the princess ended up laughing with her fiance's comment.

"But the supremacist group we're trying to get out of Xyrus Academy has those same tattoos as a key identifying characteristic. Wasn't it good that we talked about it?" Theodore raised a great point.

"Well, it's just that my main idea was to let the smallest number of people know, besides, my specific runes are only really apparent when I use them, so I thought it would take longer for any of you to see them..." Luz said this while biting into a cookie.

"Then can you explain to us why you have these runes?" Oddly, I noticed Director Cynthia flinched at Curtis's question, even though it wasn't directed at her.

"Let's say... There are some people who are good, but have these runes because they were born into that group... Do you understand now?" The oldest Leywin replied.

"Then that's it? Is your biological family part of them? So you know who they are? If so... why not report them?" Doradrae spoke a little more calmly than I would have imagined in her situation, looking directly at her savior.

An awkward silence was the answer to that, with him looking at her with a serene, but slightly uncomfortable expression. Then, he looked at Cynthia for some reason and she just nodded...?

Is she also related to this? Is that why she's acting like this? If that's the case, clearly she's like Luz, for what reason would there be for anyone in a human supremacist group to accept and trust elves and dwarves?

"Let's just say... they aren't from, or aren't, in Dicathen." That made several look confused in his direction, with the exception of Arthur, who was just stroking his bride's hair, as if he already knew this other detail about his own adopted brother.

"Wait a fucking minute..." Curtis said slowly, while everyone continued with wide eyes with that information, even Kathyln and Claire, who seemed the most disbelieved, with Kathy even putting her hand on the shoulder of the one she was in love with.

"Aren't they from Dicathen? So they're from the newly discovered continent? Are you from there?" Claire was the one to question it and he just nodded.

"Yes, the runes you saw are actually things that any mage from my birth continent has, the fact that people here are using them means that they are either from there or they are on their side."

"Your old mentor, The Elder King Eralith knows about this?... does anyone else know about this?" Theodore spoke with an expression of surprise and shock on his face, something extremely unusual for him.

"Only you guys, and, in the future, the councilmen, if the meeting I will go this weekend really happens as I hope." Luz touched a little Kathy's hand on his shoulder.

"We can help this by informing my parents, then the councilmen will know about it as soon as possible." Curtis was saying with a strange pride.

"Thanks, but that won't be necessary. In fact, I would like you to promise never to mention this information unless it is extremely necessary, at the level where you THINK I would give you permission." He said this looking at the two Glaydes and his sister-in-law.

"If you say so... I accept the idea." Kathy spoke slowly, hugging his neck from behind.

"But that would give us the advan—"

"No." Kathy interrupted her brother, giving him a look that even gave me chills, and as expected of Curtis, he gulped, deciding to keep quiet.

"Hm... Does anyone have any more questions to ask?" Luz spoke observing everyone there again.

"Brother... Did you really need to hide this from us?" Princess Tessia asked, looking deep into his eyes.

"There was no reason to talk about this, after all, it doesn't change shit where I was born, does it?" That sentence caused the will of others to speak more to be extinguished.

"If no one else has anything more to say, I'd like to spend my little peace and quiet time with my mates... Speaking of which, Tess, have you seen Lily?"

"She's in the student council room."

"Busy?" Luz raised an eyebrow.

"Well, when I saw her she was doing a few things, but nothing major." The princess replied, smiling softly.

"Okay... Kathy, Claire, let's go see her."

"Hm? Why?" Kathyln made that expression that scared me, but didn't affect the boy she hugged.

"Well, the three of you are important to me, if you two now know this little secret, I imagine she deserves to know too." And that was the last thing he said.

After that, the three of them left the main room as they had said, with Director Goodsky leaving as well, saying that she would need to do a lot of paperwork about what happened. I stared at the wall for a few seconds, until Arthur woke me up a little, talking to everyone there.

"I'm sorry, I wasnt here that moment." He spoke sincerely, watching everyone, especially Dora.

"Dude, you were trapped in a dungeon not even a week ago, I still find it impressive that you managed to recover so quickly to be here since dawn." Elijah commented, returning to sit on the sofa.

"Well... If I managed to survive Virion throwing punches at me during our practices, I feel like recovering quickly isn't that surprising." I chuckled and agreed with Arthur on that one.

"Anyway, how about we take advantage of the fact that we're all here and ask about how the engagement is going?~" Curtis questioned, leaving Arthur slightly blushing, while Princess Tessia got her face and ears completely red.

"How about you also tell me how things are going with you and Alexyo?" Arthur returned the question, now leaving Curtis extremely blushing.

'Things go back to normal so quickly... how bizarre.' Was the thought I had, before eating another cookie from the table.

[Sirius Vritra POV]

I was now walking up to the first floor of the sector we were in, the human princess, Kathyln, was hugging my arm tightly, while Claire, the committee captain, followed us. This was something Luz advised me not to do, but I saw little need for it, after all I need to show people I'm trustworthy in some way. And it would probably all be more intense if Lances were the ones to find out about it before I even had the meeting.

Knocking on the door, I could see one of the student council members opening it, his name was Fable Kristwood, or would it be Krystalood? Unfortunately, I didn't know, after all, who interacted with them more was Luz, not me. Anyway, he recognized me right away, flashing an upbeat smile as he looked at the two girls with me.

"It's good to see you. How are you? I heard about the accident that happened, but you look very well."

"Good morning, and thanks for asking, I'm fine. I just arrived this morning and went straight to my bed in our dorms. Is Lilia there?" I replied, trying to emulate the soul that usually possesses my body, with a soft, almost imperceptible smile on my face.

"Yes, she's here, do you want me to call her or..."

"I can come in if that's okay."

He smiled at me and gave me room to enter, passing through the door with Kathyln and Claire, I ended up seeing someone who didn't like nothing about me, or should I say, about Luz. Clive was sitting doing some paperwork, when he glanced at me from the corner of his eye, flashed a smile... and proceeded to ignore me.

"Princess Kathyln, what a pleasure to have you here, can I help you with anything?" Clearly he was only focusing on noble people, as he didn't even mention Claire.

Luz usually doesn't get angry at this stupid way of acting of his, but at least he pretends to be completely convincing and pass himself off as a mature but emotional, normal, teenager. I, on the other hand, really hate people like that with all my heart, mostly because of what I went through with fa-Agrona.

Claire gave a light sigh, trying to ignore the vice president as well as she walked toward the back room. I decided to do the same, and consequently, Kathyln too, since she wouldn't let go of my arm for nothing. She even looked like an animal that Luz had seen in other lives, I think the name is 'koala'...?

Clive didn't seem to like that, and soon he was back looking at his paperwork. "Bastard commoner, why didn't you become paraplegic?" He whispered, but I could hear it due to my heightened hearing.

I decided to do nothing about it, not to cause problems, after all I was only there so that Lilia, as a person who loves "me", was on the same level as the others. However, Kathyln didn't do the same, she seemed to have heard the same thing, as I felt water mana gathering aggressively next to me and being thrown behind Clive's head in the shape of an Ice Ball. The blow was hard enough to make his face hit the surface of the table in an instant.

Clive turned his face away, being quite angry about it, possibly thinking I was responsible for it, but then his face showed genuine fear and he went back to his work. I didn't even need to look at Kathyln to know what kind of face she was making. It amazes me how much King's Force she has, even being a complete human, it's not so much for an Asura or Lessura, but for Lessers it's impressive. It's in those moments that I think that possibly Priscilla cheated on Blaine with some AA-ranked adventurer, I can't believe that weakling managed to have a daughter so talented in the art of intimidation and dominance.

_°_°_°_°_°_°_°_°_°_°_°_°_°_°_°_°__°_°_

It wasn't long before I was out of there with Lilia now following me too. The conversation was more or less similar to what happened in DC's main room, she asked about the runes, if I remembered anything from my homeland, and what relationship I had with that radical group. I answered honestly, clearly leaving some things out, I didn't want her to know that I was tortured or that my "father figure" was actually the leader of everything and everyone, so I only said what was necessary in that regard. What impressed me the most was that she asked if this was related to my beast will, since I always said that I had that since before I was adopted, I just answered dryly that yes, without going too deep, because if I explained about the Soul of Corruption, things would get intense and out of my jurisdiction, and if I explained about my basilisk parts, then things would also get out of my control.

We were currently walking out of Xyrus Academy, why? Simply Virion had called me, through the scroll Cynthia has. Apparently he wanted to bring forward the meeting we will having as quickly as possible, due to the sense of danger that had arisen thanks to Alea's injuries, the mention of Asuras, hybrid beasts, and maybe the conversation he had with Arthur this morning. Due to the feeling of urgency, the meeting would not be held at their base, but in one of the special rooms of the Xyrus' Adventurers Guild, according to the message, only them and the Glayder would be there, as the royalty of Darv is busy with something and possibly couldn't even participate in any way on the previously scheduled day.

The only reason I let the three girls go with me was because I knew they would be forced to part ways with me anyway in order for the meeting to be confidential. Also, Kathyln could meet with her parents later, while Claire would stay with Lilia, possibly in Kaspian's office.

We got there quickly, deciding to take a carriage so as not to draw too much attention and entered that big white building. At the reception there weren't as many adventurers as usual, possibly they would have a period off due to the upcoming festival. The secretary of the place was there in front as always and we approached her, the few adventurers present seemed to recognize Kathyln, because they had wide eyes, the same thing happened with the secretary.

"Claire, hello! How are you? Have you come to see your uncle?" She waved at her boss's niece. Trying not to talk about Kathyln who was holding hands with me, a person she 'never saw' in her life.

"I'm fine, and no, I'm just following the guys here."

"Oh, I see, so you must all be from Xyrus Academy. You must be excited to know what an adventurer's life is like and now you're taking a tour, right?" She smiled, trying to guess the reason for our visit.

I took a small case out of my dimensional ring and opened it in front of the secretary, showing her the two royal crests of Sapin and Elenoir. She turned extremely pale at the time and stared at me for a few seconds, in silence.

"I came for a last-minute meeting, that some people scheduled here. If you need to know my name so I can say, my name is Luz, Luz Leywin." I spoke calmly, closing the case and putting it back inside the dimensional artifact.

She tried to say something, but started stuttering wildly, until she pulled herself together and looked into my eyes. "Th-Third room on the right, a-after K-kaspian's office... C-Claire can take you there."

I smiled at her and thanked her, as Claire knew where it could be, she led me there, staying a little ahead of me with Lilia beside her. Kathyln was still holding my hand tightly, making me sigh, already imagining what it would be like if her parents saw her doing this. But it didn't take long for us to arrive at the only door where there were some guards in front, two wearing classic elven armor and the other two being human guards.

Upon noticing us, the human guards bowed slightly in Kathyln's presence, while the elven guards did the same, only for me. They looked closely at the two people who didn't recognize at all that were with us.

"I'm here for the meeting with the councilmen who were able to be here today."

"Fine, Sir.Leywin, we'll let you in, but I won't say the same to the people who follow you." Said one of the elven guards.

"No problem, we're just here to keep him company, I'm from the guild leader's family, and I'll be taking care of Princess Kathyln in another room." Claire made that little comment so that they understood well.

"I'll be safe with her, after all she is my leader at Xyrus Academy." Kathyln added, possibly so that no human guard would leave the post because of this unexpected situation.

The guards agreed with this and opened the door, revealing two tables, a large rectangular one with the two royal families together, and a small one with just one chair, which would be where I will be sitting. Alea, Aya, Wykes and Varay, the four were there too, all standing behind their respective leaders, Alea seemed to be recovering a little better than before, wearing armor that completely covered her legs and arms, possibly so as not expose the fact that almost all of her members were now formed by plant magic.

I was forced to use that spatium spell, Blink, to get into that room, because Kathyln wouldn't let go of my hand for nothing. That made the eyes of everyone there become curious about it, and soon the door closed.

"I appreciate the fact that we are having this meeting." I spoke politely as I bowed slightly and walked towards the chair in front of me, taking a seat in it.

With the door closed, my eyes shone a little, making me realize the existence of magic with aether that existed in Blaine and Alduin's rings, that magic made a kind of thread that connected to the mana core of the Lances, with the exception of Alea, who unlike her mate, was connected to nothing. But not only that, I also noticed the existence of something nearby, I looked around just to confirm, and what I saw was a figure in the corner of the room, using some spell to completely hide its presence, becoming invisible to normal eyes.

I don't know the other Asuras very well, but I thought that this one was possibly the same one who was disguised as a cat, when Luz entered that strange shop recently.

"Some problem?" Alduin asked and I just turned to them, looking at the table.

"No, anyway, shall we start the meeting? What do you want to ask first?" I tried to ignore that Asura's presence, or at least not mention it as much, as I don't know if people here are aware of its existence. I could tell that Lance Thunderlord didn't like my way of speaking anyway, it was obvious from the slight change in his expression.

"First, I'd like to know about how you know about the whole situation. We asked the survivors of the unfortunate accident that happened... And we found out that they were saved by Adventurer Diamond, he being a S-class adventurer." When Blaine said this, Bairon again showed signs of getting a little angry.

I just answered cleanly. "Well, King Blaine, it's obvious that in this case I'm Diamond. I mean... I thought everyone in this room knew, but apparently you were left out because you really couldn't connect the dots... and I'm sorry if I sound rude saying that."

Blaine's look was one of confusion for a few seconds before they were wide open. "But you are a human, how can you have access to plant magic?"

I answered this calmly by forming my green fire. And suddenly some plants that decorated the room grew a little. The Eralith family and their Lances gave a weak laugh, trying to hold it in, while on the human side, Priscilla tried to feign a surprised face, but failed miserably in my opinion. On the other hand, Varay, Bairon, and Blaine were in legitimate surprise, and for some reason I felt fear coming from the human king.

"Now that you know I've been in a situation like this before, and with you guys wanting my alter-ego as a Lance for quite some time now, I guess everyone here is on the same page to be aware of my power level, isn't it?" I asked that question only so there would be no situations where they wouldn't believe in the things I did, but apparently, all of the royals were in agreement.

"Great, now that we're aware of that, could you explain about this so-called enemy? The guards who accompanied her were saying that he was a demon, and Alea's psychological state makes it not so reliable for we to ask her directly..." Priscilla asked this time, maybe Virion didnt have time to say with them about what we talked at Helstea's mansion.

"The enemy was a hybrid of a mana beast and a human, the fact that he was super powerful and did all this damage was because his mana beast part was from the basilisk race. Do you know anything about them or should I explain more?" I asked calmly and they agreed, with the human side showing more fear, I even felt a drop of king's force directed at me by the asura that was hidden, but I ignored it.

"The Basilisks are a race of fully sentient mana beasts powerful enough to be seen as deities among humans, elves, and dwarves." Everyone's eyes widened at that, and I continued. "They specialize in a unique type of magic, which is an alternative version of the elemental magic we have, we can say that the main feature is the decay of elements. The enemy in question seemed to use one of the decay's elements, thus creating something they call 'Shadow Magic', the ability to create solid objects out of shadows. The defeat of Alea's group came mainly because the area they were in was dark enough that the enemy could play with them as if they were his domain. If it weren't for that, I imagine they would still be in danger due to the overwhelming strength these hybrids can have."

"Wait, how do you know so much information?!" Blaine questioned something everyone wanted to know.

"Agreed, we have known you for a long time due to your stay in our realm. So how would you know about something this important?" Virion questioned, his voice sounded like he was bossing me around, but in the end, it sounded reluctant and a little afraid.

"Initially, everyone here knows me, and that I was adopted by a family from Sapin, right?" They nodded, and then I sighed, ready to say it. "I... am also one of those hybrids."

That made them all get up from their chairs in surprise and stare at me. As they did this, I let my horns be exposed, growing long enough for them to see. "Hybrids that have enough basilisk blood have horns, so the enemy, that almost killed Alea, had them too." I said that looking at Alea, who was a little paralyzed, afraid of my horns, but then I pulled them out by force, making them turn into mana particles and get inside me.

"Wait... did you know that demon?" Alea questioned.

"Yes, his job was to torture some possible special children, with the goal to force the awakening of their basilisk blood, and I was one of those children, so I killed him. If it weren't for the emotional stress of seeing him, I would have brought him alive and extremely weak so that you all could interrogate him in the most safest way possible." I took a deep breath, trying to hold my mind as I remembered those difficult moments in my life, but luckily, I managed to pull myself together.

They watched me some more and then sat back down, I could see the pitying expressions on Alea, Aya, Merial and Priscilla, while Virion and Alduin were uncomfortable to hear this, and the rest remained somewhat neutral, not having any emotions about this part of my story. It was the expected reaction.

"That being the case, I would like you to explain the situation further." Blaine said it like he was ordering me around, really he hasn't changed a bit even after that conversation, did he not reason that in theory I'm half deity too?

"I would recommend asking the dragon that is here whether you can get that kind of information or not." They were confused when I said that, so they really didn't know about the asura in the corner?

"What are yo-" Before Virion could question, that figure emerged, coming out of hiding.

He was a tall man, pale skin, almost white blond hair and heavenly eyes. Wearing an elegant navy blue suit, he walked slowly towards me, with an expression of curiosity. "I'm still surprised you even noticed me."

"Mirage Walk is easy to spot if you concentrate to the extreme, Elder Windsom, I presume." I looked forward again and saw the Lances pointing their weapons at us, or more specifically, at the Asura over there.

"Who are you?!" Blaine exclaimed arrogantly, while I just saw Alduin and Virion extending their hand in front of Aya and Alea, as if asking them to put down their weapons.

"Foolish Lesser, I am here at the behest of Great Lord Kezess to assist you." He spoke in a calm manner, clearly not afraid of anything that was happening.

"And how would we believe you?!" Blaine continued his stupid aggression.

"My Lord was the one who gave you Lessers the rings you are wearing now. Is there a more obvious way to say that we are helping them?" Windsom released his king's force, causing a suffocating aura to say the least.

Everyone there almost immediately fell, with those at the tables leaning on them, while the Lances held on to the nearby walls, everyone had wide-eyed looks of astonishment. While I was somewhat shielded, due to the thin layer of aether surrounding my body, it didn't stop me from feeling a little dizzy as a result.

That perfectly explained why I felt Aether in those rings, it was something given by the Indrath clan. The fact that an asura used this as an argument perhaps meant that it was some kind of secret passed down through generations. Saying something that only the royal family would know, a great way to make them understand with who they are talking to.

"A thousand pardons, Lord Dragon! Blaine acts like an airhead sometimes!" Virion exclaimed, making Blaine look at him with a little annoyance, but at least Windsom accepted the excuse and deactivated the King's force.

"Since everyone now knows each other, Elder Windsom, would you please allow me to explain as to what I know?" I continued the conversation as if the trouble Blaine had caused had never happened.

"No, you would need permission from Lord Kezess, and I don't think he would even want to speak to you directly, lessuran." He spoke imposingly, with a bit of distaste, but still maintaining enough class.

"Then my presence was of no consequence, since you are here anyway."

"I came here to better understand which side you are on. Being an enemy of the Vritra, it is already of good size." He spoke still very seriously, staring at me.

"I am against those who dominate and manipulate Alacrya in general, the fact that the majority of the Vritra clan falls into this act is not my fault." I look deep in his eyes.

"Hm... you really are his son. Senseless determination coupled with massive disrespect against all clans..."

"Don't compare me to that megalomaniac snake, I'm not like him, at least I'm much more than him. I don't use my people, I protect those who deserve it."

The atmosphere inside that room had become suffocating again due to our conversation, but finally, Windsom took a deep breath, maintaining that calm that either came from a saint or was made because of the orders of his leader. "I hate to admit that this trait of trying to overcome the damage your clan has done is acceptable in the eyes of the Great Clans."

"Thank you, I think... I imagine you will now be the 'reliable' source of information for the royalty of Dicathen, am I correct?" I said getting up.

"Exactly, but we will call you if we need your opinion on something." The words that came out of that dragon's mouth made me widen my eyes in surprise.

"You? Asuras with an ego bigger than Agrona's insanity, trusting a Lessuran?"

"I understand your surprise, but due to your strange connection to Lady Sylvia, and other details, we are literally being forced to keep an eye on you. Having periodic meetings with you as a participant is the best alternative."

"Other details?" I was confused by what he said, is there any way they could have found out about Luz or Zalgnity?

No... it's pretty impossible for them to know that, after all they're completely anomalous things and never seen before, plus Zalgnity's corruption magic is similar to decay mana art enough for people to confuse one with the other. The maximum that would make him say something like that, is possibly related to the Aether, this taking into account how stingy the members of the Indrath clan are to the point of never talking about it to others, unless when necessary or when the person already knows about its existence.

He didn't answer me and just looked at the royal people. "I wish not a single word of what happened left your mouths without my permission, neither for the other royals that were dumb enought to not be here. The situation is all for the greater good..."

"Greater good?" Everyone seemed to question at the same time.

"The fact that one of your own biggest mages was almost killed by someone from the other continent only means one thing... War. They're strategically attacking you from the inside, so it'll be easier later when the battles really start..." Windsom's words seemed to make them all panic, but I quickly spoke, calming them down a bit.

"I'd like to say... during my adventuring period, I've been destroying some camps that these invaders have created inside Beast Glades. So, their number decreased a lot... One of the reasons I went to that dungeon where Alea was, was because there was a camp there."

My words entered their heads calming them down a bit, but soon Meriel and Priscilla's eyes focused on me, extremely wide. "So it was your fault what happened to my baby?!" They spoke in unison, possibly referring to Tessia and Curtis respectively.

"Regarding the earthquake... yes, it was me, I literally destroyed them with a great force. But as for the anomalous mana beasts, that was an invader camp's defense system... From what I heard from my brother, most of the damage in the area that Curtis and Tess were in, was caused by the mana beast, which they faced, exploding intensely. That is, whether I did something or not, things would happen the same way for them..."

"Could there be a chance it could have been worse..." Alea ended up muttering to herself, but the almost silent atmosphere in that room betrayed her. The mothers present in the room ended up reasoning better about the whole situation.

If I had never tried to interfere, on that occasion, nothing would have changed, Arthur and Tess would have fallen into that room, there being a great chance that both of them would see a completely dead Alea, and Uto still there to attack them... and consequently... The Vritra could capture the one chosen by Sylvia. But of course, they just didn't know about this last horrific detail from this alternate version of events.

"I feel like it's good for me to leave now... I came accompanied and they must be waiting for me..." I said watching them and started to walk closer to the door, when I felt something being thrown towards me.

It was a close call, but I managed to lift my hand in that direction in time to catch it in my hand. It was a kind of octahedron, semi transparent with a beautiful grayish purple color. Looking at whoever had thrown that at me, it was obviously Windsom.

"It's a communicator, to use it, inject energy while pressing firmly against your own palm. Only myself and other people extremely trusted by Lord Kezess have access to this communication network, feel honored and grateful that I see the logic in giving you this, I will use it to contact you if I see complete and absolute need." It was the last thing he said before I bowed, just out of respect for trusting me with that, and finally walked out of that room.

'Sylvia... Are we supposed to believe that?' I questioned her mentally, and just like that I heard her voice, shocked, echoing.

'I-I'm even surprised he gave you this... I remember having one of these before the day I decided to run away from Epheotus... he didn't lie about the device's function...'

'And I can't feel anything strange coming from it, other than the fact that it's full of Aether!' Zalgnity soon spoke after.

'Great... what about Luz? How is he?' I questioned out of concern and curiosity, after all I've never seen him let me stay that long in control of my own body.

'He's fine, just tired... I can't believe you managed to exhaust him that much...' Zalgnity was still expressing surprise at this, as I saw the girls nearby, I waved approaching them.

'Well, we forced ourselves to overfill our mana core twice using pure corrupt mana, and both times, both our mana and decay pools were extremely low... It was literally the same as filling a glass of water as quickly as possible by turning on the faucet a maximum of... twice.' I answered mentally, giving a slight cough after Kathyln jumped on me, hugging me tight.

'You want him to come back just so you won't be pestered by the girls, right?' Sylvia and Zalgnity asked in unison, almost as if they didn't believe that was the reason...

But unfortunately, that was the reason... they're nice and all... But how the hell does he put up with that girl who won't let go of him?!?

While inside my deep thoughts, I noticed someone else going out of that meeting room, it was Virion, going to me. His face was more pale than after I said to them part of my real nature.

"Boy... sorry to give you more and more things to do, but I would like you to contact Tess and your brother... I receive a last second call in my communication scroll... and..."

"Say already, Old Bat. What happened?" I asked, meanwhile the three girls near me were very confused by the way I talked with the old King of the Elf Kingdom.

"It was Rinia... She had another vision and really wants to talk with you and your brother."

"Oh... so she saw my brother's future again? Oka-"

"No... Not only this... She also saw your future." His words striked my brain like a hammer against the most thin glass.

"Excuse me?! She said before that she couldn't see my future because of my Beast Will!" I used this choice of words only because of the girls also hearing this.

"That's why I went out of that room so quickly after her call... for some reason... she can see yours as well..."

And here I was thinking that I would have a little time to relax at least...

I hate being important sometimes.
