But over time I've grasped it well, I've been able to negate all negative side effects of exhaustion. But the efficiency of cultivation hasn't risen much at all.

Inorder to avoid side effects I need to cultivate in tandem with my REM sleep cycles. Once I fall asleep I can only play around with mana in my body to keep my self in a lucid dream, and in time I'll sense a subtle change in my body's behavior. After a bit of studying I realized this change was entering a REM cycle.

So for the next three hours cultivation could commence, but a balance was needed, If I pushed the speed of cultivation too much, the REM cycle would break and negative side effects would arise for 24 hours.

After the first cycle, a break of 10-30 minutes would occur, before the cycle continued two more times.

In theses breaks of 10-30 minutes I just have to keep the lucid dream, but I feel that the time would be better spent attempting to prepare for the next cultivation session. But the methods to do that seemed worthless and futile.

Like gathering a clump of mana to later cultivate in the rem cycle, it was almost pointless but did help, just barely.

I feel like it's possible to cultivate just as fast as when awake, but things don't seem very likely.

Arthur is training with the elf's right now and will return to us in about two years.

Though the training he is going through is assimilation of his beast will, he's not really gaining strength just adapting his body to the beast will and mana, and attempting to to control the beast will as much as possible.

His core will stay stagnant probably around dark red by the time he gets back.

While I need to adapt my body with mana the process called assimilation, but it won't give me or anyone a big power boost, so I can take my time unlike Arthur needs to assimilate fast to not die from the dragons beast will…

The backyard is a bit isolated from the rest of the manor using little mana I made a small crater silently, it was more like a hole a dog would dig. But that was what I wanted.

Making sure everything was set up, I messed my hair up with wind mana and dirtied my clothes, before running toward the dining room, yelling for my parents."

"Mom! Dad! I did it! I'm a mage!" I screeched sliding into the dining hall where my and Lilias family were having supper.

"Huh! You did?" Reynolds's shot up shocked.

"Yes!" I said, jumping into my mothers embrace.

Rey looked towards his wife, the magic expert of the family for an answer, whom immediately nodded with a wide smile, feeling relieved that her son got what he wanted for so long and could hopefully keep up with his brother.

"Well, I guess this is cause for celebration!" Vincent stated a little mind boggled, that a five year old became a mage. Although all he cared about was the theory that simply meditating could allow you to awaken as a mage, and that his daughter had been diligently mediating for a while.

Noticing her husbands thoughts she placed a hand on his shoulders, "don't get too optimistic, it could just be a coincidence." Although Tabitha had similar thoughts and great hopes for her daughter becoming a mage one day, she knew she couldn't pin all her hopes on it.

There was an equally or greater chance that her daughter would never awaken. Not even giving a thought to potential awakening themselves they put all there hopes of their daughter.

"Dad, how do I magic?" I asked excitedly.

"Oh haha, first we need to see if you're an augmenter, emitter or conjurer. You know this, to do cool magic you need to meditate to a mana core that looks dark red." Rey stated with a silly smile he only showed around baby's and when he could teach his kids a lesson.

Alice stepped in saying, "if you can use your mana to affect your body, your an augmenter just like your dad, if you can shoot your mana out of you, you are an emitter like me. If you can feel mana around you and move it around you are a conjuror."

Acting curious, while everyone was observing, I acted as if I attempted each feat. I could actually do all three everyone could, but upon awakening you could only do one and that would be your most proficient way of wielding mana until you reached the fabled white core, where all three types would be universal with no difference other than the amount of effort put into a given category.

I was a natural augmenter, so that's what I was gonna reveal. Focusing a small amount of mana on my left arm, I appeared to put all my attention on my left arm, when in reality I was paying attention to everyone around me.

I activated the mana and the muscles in my arm to move and it appeared as if my arm moved twice as fast as normal.

My dad cheered realizing I was an augmenter and decided to start training me in mana control.

Like that days and time past.

I had to tell my parents I awakened at some point, and it was better for me to do it earlier as if I was influenced by Arthur so when it came out that he was a reincarnation I could keep my status as normal but with great strength.

Besides I wanted to have a chance at adventuring when Arthur got a chance to become an adventurer when we turned ten.

———

About two years went by and my hair was now a full fledge mane, flowing right above my waist. The last two years I got to attend a few noble parties with Lilias family, specifically both the prince and princess birthdays.

They are my only friends other than Lilia. Lilia has other noble friends but I'm not even acquainted with them.

Any day now Arthur is supposed to be arriving at the floating city, and I'm proud of my accomplishments.

My parent's attempted to teach me all they knew about mana, but it didn't last long. Reynolds's wanted to find me a magic instructor to help me, but I didn't really want that coupled with our financial situation, I successfully evaded having a teacher.

Though after some discussions Rey was able to get the twin horns to help teach me more about mana from time to time when they were in the city.

Getting really familiar with them, In hopes that when Arthur went adventuring with Jasmine, I might be able to also adventure but rather with the twin horns taking jasmine place as she helps Arthur.

And I think that's the only, best and safest way to get a chance at adventuring so young. Our parents have feeling for their kids, if Arthur ended up living with our parents till our current age he wouldn't stand a chance at become an adventurer with our parent's permission, but since he got out of the family and was able to survive on his own, the family bond wasn't as strong as it would be, so he was able to get an opportunity.

In addition with Arthur being gone it has amplified our parents bond with me, further trapping me within their protection.

Protection isn't a bad thing, but it is counterintuitive for my unique position, being mature enough and strong enough to live on my own and find an opportunity to help better myself.
