1 Chapter 1: Meeting and starting of a new life

Lying on the ground as she stared at the grey and gloomy smog covered sky unable to move due to the multiple wounds her body has sustained.

She gritted her teeth as she looked on as fire and bodies litter the ground near her.

A surprise attack of Mary Sue, accompanied by several platoons of allied enemies bombarded them.

Fortunately for her squadron, they manage to retreat successfully. Unfortunately she wasn't so lucky.

She had prayed to that damn Being X and manage to retaliate, killing a few hundred to a thousand of enemy soldiers along with Mary trying to retreat.

But unfortunately there were too many and she had to push herself to her limits to have any chance of surviving. But in the end she fell.

And now as her world grows dimmer and her breathing become more difficult she glared at the sky, or more precisely, the damn so called GOD.

Not only did that fucker put her inside the body of a weak child, but also in a world in war.

As her life slowly drifts away he cursed at the damn being for her misfortune.

The image of her soldiers her squadron appeared in her mind. She didn't want to admit it, but she grew quite attached to those morons especially Visha…

As coldness embraced her as darkness veiled her vision…

'I could really go for a hot cup of her coffee…'

[Nice choice in beverage.]

Her eyes which were previously closed shot up as a strange voice entered her mind.

She looked around to see that she was no longer in the battle field, instead she was in some sort of garden.

The dozens of beautiful flowers adorned the ground as steady streams of crystal like miniature lakes that seemed to reflect the an entire aurora covered star filled night sky.

Frankly the garden was in her opinion enchantingly beautiful. But that was not that got her attention the most, No.

What got her attention was the person sitting in the middle of said garden drinking his beverage calmly with his eyes closed seemingly enjoying his surroundings.

The 'man' was beautiful, no, he was beyond such a meager concept as that, to her the man or whatever he his transcended that concept. So much so Tanya was stunned and just looked at him for who knows how long.

The long white hair which seems to become stars at the end. His pristine skin and gentle expression. And the clothing he wore that gave off the aura of a monarch. Overall he gives off the present of one who rules above everything.

Before she can steady and calm herself down. The BEING opened his eyes and looked at her.

Tanya tensed practically freezing. Not because the BEING'S eyes were practically breathtaking, but because the aura he exuded felt like her entire existence was being crushed.

The BEING continued to look at her then smiled as the pressure disappeared.

Tanya dropped to her knees as she tried to get control of her breathing. Even with X never felt so weak. But now when facing this entity in front of her, the only thing she felt was fear, utter FEAR.

She doesn't know who this being is but her entire existence was blaring with warnings and the uncontrollable urge to run, run as far away possible from whatever that being was.

*Snap*

With a snap, all the feeling of fear and dread seemed to have just vanished. She felt calm, serene almost. She doesn't know why and how this happened but before she can think further the Being opened his mouth.

"Are you calm now?"

His voice resounded. Tanya could only nod her head.

"That's good, if you are calm now please take a seat the drinks will get a bit cold even in this space."

She looked at the entity then to the chair opposite to him. With reluctance and hesitation as well as fear she moved to take sit on the tea table.

She couldn't help but feel wary of this entity but she knows that she is completely incapable of anything in his presence.

She looked at the table, specifically the luxurious cup of coffee in front of her and then at the entity who just had a normal carefree smile.

"Go on, I promise you that there are no harmful substances in it, in fact you will find quite amazing."

She eyed the coffee with suspicion before reluctantly giving it a try.

As she tasted the coffee her eyes widened. She has never had coffee this wonderful before.

The Being just smiled.

"Why don't we get to the chase."

Putting his cup down as Tanya did the same.

"You are probably wondering why you're here, correct?"

Tanya nodded warily.

He continued to smile.

"It is simply due to the machinations of certain a BEING in your books, who has crossed a bit over line."

'Certain being? Is he perhaps referring to that damn Being X?'

"Yes that is correct."

The Being nodded. Which shocked Tanya.

'Shit! He can read my mind!?'

"Yes, I can, this is my domain after all."

Tanya became more wary of this BEING. She understands this Being is very Powerful and probably omniscient.

The BEING Casually just waved his hand signaling to relax and calmed done, which Tanya did not do.

"Who are you?"

He just hummed.

"Normally I would have introduced myself as a God, but since you really aren't the type of person to believe in the divine and such, so…"

He smiled. Known to him, that the view Tanya has on that wavered due to his presence.

"You may simply address me as V."

'V?'

"Yes, simple isn't it?"

He hummed before continuing on and returning to the main topic.

"Now then, why don't we go back to the main topic at hand, and that would be why you are here instead of the afterlife."

Tanya nodded her head wanting know as well.

"Simply put, I am interested as well as feel a bit of pity for you."

Tanya quirked a brow in confusion, but also in suspicion.

"What do you mean?"

"*Sigh* Due to the actions of that certain god or being in your case, crossing some lines. I decided to give his victim, you, a chance for his selfish action, as well as give him a punishment."

Tanya couldn't help but snarled remembering what that bastard had done to her, but stopped as something in what he said caught her mind.

'Chance? What does he mean exactly? And what does he mean by punish him? Wait, how did he even get her away from his grasp and how did I get here instead of going into the after life?'

"I would be glad to answer your questions if it would clear your mind."

Tanya couldn't help but be annoyed at her mind being read, but decides to listen at what the BEING will say.

"Firstly, You might not know it, but there are actually ranks in our system."

Tanya was shocked.

"Ranks?"

He nodded.

"We Gods or Beings are divided by ranks. Depending on the rank we are given authorities that let us do things that go beyond science or modern understanding.

There is also an hierarchy regarding ranks and authorities. Those of higher ranks can punish those who are lower if they miss behave. There are rules for this after all, and if one breaks them they will be punished.

If you are wondering, the BEING you call X is in the lower ranks and was punished by me for violating some rules. As to why you are here? I simply invited you."

To say Tanya was further shocked was undermining it. She was absolutely bewildered by this revelation. But in her stupor curious question popped up.

"You said that higher ranks can punish those of lower rank if they were to break some rules and that X is in the lower ones, right?"

He nodded.

"Then may I ask what your rank is exactly?"

He thought over a bit before humming.

"My rank is actually second to the highest."

Tanya's eyes widened in bewilderment, and was quite shaken.

If BEING X can reincarnate her like he claimed, then she couldn't help but feel some cold sweat on her back at the knowledge that X was only in the lower ranks. And that there were those of higher ranks, who could do god knows what.

"Oh my, there seems to be a misconception about us."

Tanya snapped out of her thoughts to look at him confused at what he means exactly.

"You believe that reincarnating someone is a rare and powerful power, correct? But let me clear that view of yours up."

Crossing his legs as he grasp his hands close together as he lays them on his thigh.

"The authority to reincarnate someone is actually quite common to us, even to the lowest ranks, most of them even share some agents that carry out the task of guiding them to them.

Amusingly, most of these agents take the form of various things, mainly vehicles, more amusingly, the most prominent agent takes the form of a truck."

He chuckled, before forming a solemn smile.

"But unfortunately, due to them taking such forms and the knowledge of them became widespread in the mortal realm, it caused a lot mortals lacking in brain cells to jump in front of none agent vehicles, resulting in a lot of paperwork and discussions on which section of the afterlife to send them."

Tanya was absolutely dumbfounded by absolutely ridiculous and stupid method, as well as the people who were stupid enough to do something like that.

She couldn't help but groaned just thinking about it, before she was snapped out of it by V's clap.

"Telling you about our system is helpful in all but I think we should focus back on the topic. And that would be the chance I will be giving you.

Tanya's nodded her head, wanting to know what this chance he's talking about is.

"I will be reincarnating you again on a new world and giving you a new life."

Tanya's eye's shot wide opened before slamming her hands on the table in anger.

"What!? I'll be reincarnated again!?"

She yelled out, but before she could continue the V raised a hand passively.

"Calm down for a moment, I have yet to explain everything yet."

Begrudgingly, she sat back down but still glared at the him.

"Like I said, I will reincarnate you in another world, but I will let you decide if you want to."

Calming down she begins to think about what he said. But another question popped up in her head.

"What will happen if I choose not to reincarnate?"

The BEING just continue to smile.

"Then you would simply go to the after life."

Having her answer she begins to think about more, before acquiring more information.

"What exactly is this world you will reincarnate me in like? Will I be an orphan, if not, what will my family be like? And lastly."

She gave him serious look.

"Will you interfere and make my life difficult?"

V closed his eyes before opening them up again.

"The world you will be reincarnated in has been abandoned by some two or two BEINGS and is roaming with monsters. But it is not exactly entirely bad. It is not a battle field or constant wars (yet). The world has also some superhuman powers that people can use and there are also some protectors that kill these monsters and keep others safe, and if you live somewhere secure then you don't have to worry about them.

Fortunately, you won't be an orphan and will have a family. The family you will be reborn in is wealthy and most of your family members are nice and caring, except for one who is a pain, but you will progress.

And for the last question. One bit and that is all, I would also interfere if some other gods decide to make a mess. But other than that, nothing else really."

After he finished informing her about the world, she couldn't find any reason to actually want to live in such a world.

"Why should I reincarnate into this world? There doesn't seem to be anything beneficial for me in there. This seems more troublesome than war by a small margin."

"Because the afterlife you will be heading into, will be the underworld."

Tanya froze as her eyes widen.

"What?"

"You might not know this, but almost every single person in war goes into the underworld. Reason being that there were innocent people drafted into the conflict which resulted in a lot of bad karma. And paperwork. And let me tell you. The underworld makes the wars you faced times a thousand, Pale. "

Tanya's eyes widened in horrible realization before gritting her teeth in absolute rage.

'That Damn X! even now you screw me over! I hope you are getting horribly punished you bastard!'

As Tanya was venting her rage V decided spoke up.

"That is why I am giving you a chance. I will be assigning you a task. Whether you achieve it yourself, assist on the achievement of it or at the least be a part of it. Then I would relinquish such things, and let you pass the good after life."

Calming down she begins to maul over her options, her face scrunching up more and more before finally coming up to a decision.

"I'll do it. What's my task?"

V smiled again.

"I will inform you of that when you get used to the knew world. But for now, prepare yourself for the process. I'll wait when your ready."

Tanya nodded her head then looked towards her cup of coffee which was still hot. Emptying the mug, she took a deep breath.

"I'm ready."

With a smile V snapped his fingers as light enveloped Tanya. And soon disappeared.

V just sat there calmly enjoying his time while looking at a conjured screen in front of him.

'I do hope she can handle the cold easily.'

As Tanya's vision was closed and she tried to move her body to some avail, she tries to get a feel on her surroundings.

"Is this our new little sister?"

"Yes, dear."

"She looks very cute."

"I agree young miss."

She heard some voices around her. She pried her eyes open see what was happening.

What she saw were multiple pairs of blue eyes and a pair of brown eyes looking at her.

'Is this my new family?'

"What are you going name the new addition to the family milady?"

The woman who appeared to be her mother looked at her with a thoughtful look before smiling softly.

She place her hand on her head and gently rubbed it with care.

"Tanya. That's her name."

"Hmm, it's different from the usual choice of name. But surprisingly it fits well."

"Yeah! Tanya sounds like a good name!"

"I also agree milady, it sounds like a wonderful name."

Her mother smiled as she cradles her in her arms.

Tanya looked at her new family and couldn't help but feel satisfied with it.

Her mother continued to cradle her in her arms and before giving her a kiss on the forehead.

"Welcome to the family Tanya Schnee, my little snowflake."

'So this is the family I will be growing up in huh. Seems nice. But I need remember that V will soon give me task in the future. But before then I will enjoy my new life for now.'

She gave them a giggle to which they responded by smiling and cooing at her with affection.

'I'll definitely be enjoying my time for now.'
