CHAPTER THREE: TANYA'S BEGINNING 2

"It's gonna be alright Tin, he's gone." She remembered saying. She had actually thought it was one of those tears that came from regular memories of her father. He died of cancer. No amount would bring him back, she had wished her mother knew that. "It's gonna be fine." She had said, hoping it had been comforting enough. Perhaps, it had been comforting to some extent that had not mattered. Tina's tears had flowed relentlessly.

"I don't wanna loose you too, Tan." She had said amidst tears, "you are all I've got now." Then sobs had taken over. It was like she had been occasionally electrocuted by short and high voltage.

"You won't," Tanya had said. Despite their regular disagreements, she would rather not see her mother in this manner. It was unpleasant to the daughter that still remained in her. She had given Tina soft taps on her back, hoping to ease the tears.

Tanya had had the feeling that the tears had not been for someone who had died two years back, or from memories together. It had been like someone close to her had just died, or was about to. Nevertheless, she had patted her on the back, daughter to mother.

"Leave Ronald Tan." It had been like she had pricked in her forehead. She had wrinkled her face, perhaps she hadn't heard Tina right.

"Someone is out to kill you Tan, said if you won't leave Ronald, you'd die." Tina had cried. "I don't wanna loose you Tan, you are my world." Her sobs punctuated her statement.

It had been at that moment Tanya had known it was about her, but Ronald? How had Tina known?
