1 Drama Queen

Rohan was running way too fast and Kayna sadly lagged behind. When she was completely drenched in sweat she didn't wait to tell him that she was tired, she walked back to her initial position where her teacher, Ms.Shami had told her to stand. She would randomly look inside the class to know if the class had ended or not. She was sitting on the floor with her legs crossed when she looked at her watch and realized that the class was about to get over in five minutes. She instantly got up and stood up in with her hands hanging beside her waist and her head hung low. Did I tell u?? She had great acting skills and within seconds people used to believe whatever she would say. She would cook up lies and excuses just in time to save her and her bestie.

Meanwhile, Rohan was running around the campus and he didn't realize that Kayna had left way back. He thought of it once and immediately turned around, as at his very thought he knew that Kayna could do something like this, he stopped and wiped his sweat from his face. He cursed himself for all this time he had been running and had not bothered to turn around and see if Kayna was even there or not.

He never carried his watch as he had Kayna to accompany him, he never did need a watch. At this very moment, another thought rather horrifying awoke in him. He thought of the thirty-five minutes that belonged to one entire period and the trouble he would get it in if he didn't reach his class just in time.

With all his might he ran all the way back, back, up to the class, and there he saw Kayna standing with her head hung low. He looked at her and assumed him to be the sole reason for her sadness. He apologized to her," Look Kayna, I am really very, very sorry. I know you got into trouble because of me and I am the only reason for your sadness. Also, I did leave you behind running with all my might, but I am sorry." As these words reached her ears she was utterly shocked and proud of herself. She immediately understood that Rohan was now caught into her web and having the aim of punishing him, she played along with the drama. "What do you mean by 'you are sorry'? You left me alone behind to suffer this punishment all alone. You left me alone behind running away. I bared scoldings from my only favorite teacher in this school, for you and you did this to me. I thought you were a great friend of mine, who would always support me and stand next to me in every situation. I thought you would hold my hand firmly and help me go through the darkest of times. But you?" She now kept her palm on her face and tried sobbing a little, letting guiltiness arouse in Rohan. Rohan held her hand and moved it away from her face. What he saw next was a shock for him......he saw Kayna had been laughing all this time. She pretended to cry and had been fooling him around. "Oh my God Kayna, when are you going to leave your childish ways." Said Rohan, out of irritation. "Never!!" she replied. "By the way, I had hung my head low to show Ms.Shami that I was ashamed and was guilty of committing my mistake but instead look who got caught on my web? One who knows me better than my parents? Say it out loud, Rohan Mehra I am the best actor in this entire world and the campus is a witness of it." She chuckled. "Okay fine, Kayna you are the best actor in this entire world and my favorite too. But now, keep shut the class is coming to an end and miss will soon be near the door. Let's put on our best acting my favorite actress." He winked at her. "Thank you so much, I know, I am everyone's favorite, and why not let's fool her together and you are my favorite actor too" she replied. The bond that these two shared was unexplainable, it was a different kind of bond altogether. It was the bond where both of them were committed to protect and take stands for each other until the end of the universe. It was a bond where the Kayna what Rohan was going to say and simultaneously, Rohan would get to know when Kayna couldn't share what was in her head. They were stars twinkling in the night sky, but a special kind, the one that does not twinkle when the other twinkles. They could replace Earth with Mars for each other and thus the bond they shared was beautiful.

The class came to an end and they guiltily apologized to the teacher. The teacher smiled telling them not to do it again and went away. They came back into the class and sat beside each other. After a long duration of running, both were exhausted and therefore chose to remain silent.

The next period was Mathematics, which was hated by the entire class. It was taught by the most furious teacher of the school, Mr. Prakash.

As soon as, Mr. Prakash entered the class, the entire class froze and stood up and greeted him. He was a way too short-tempered person. He would slap the child right up (neglecting the gender) if the child was unable to answer his questions. Luckily, Rohan had completed his homework in Mathematics. Seeing the green-colored notebook in Rohan's hand with Mathematics – HW, written over it, she sighed with great relief.

Mr. Prakash quickly collected everyone's homework and started off with his class without wasting a moment. He was so quick that he used to finish the entire LP (lesson plan) in just fifteen minutes and would eat the children's heads in the twenty minutes left with him. As usual, he finished his LP of the day within fifteen minutes and decided to call the students over, to the board, to solve the questions one by one.

Being poor in Mathematics, Kayna feared every now and then that she would be the next in a row for solving Mr. Prakash's questions on board. She kept on asking Rohan the answer to the questions but Rohan was also helpless, how could he teach her something within minutes. She was almost going to ask him but Mr. Prakash called her and wrote a sum on the board and asked her to solve it. Shivers ran down her body. She didn't know how she would do it. But she had an idea! Because Mr. Prakash's head was turned towards the class and the class was busy in their own work. She reached out for help to Rohan and asked him the solution in sign language. Without wasting a second, he replied in sign languages and within seconds, the deadliest question of all times was solved. As she solved the question the school bell rang, marking it the beginning of Short Break. On hearing the bell, her happiness had no boundations she was extremely overjoyed for two specific reasons, one the Mathematics period was over and she wouldn't have to tolerate Mr. Prakash and because now she could go and roam around the school. It was her favorite thing to do, to roam about the school.
