CHAPTER 13

As Sara drifted off to sleep, Rohan couldn't help but replay the events of the day in his mind. He couldn't believe how close they had come to danger, and how lucky they were to have made it back unscathed. He glanced out the car window, watching the city lights pass by in a blu.

Arun turned to Rohan, breaking the silence. "Are you okay, man?" he asked, concern etched on his face.

Rohan nodded, still lost in thought. "Yeah, I'm okay," he said softly. "Just... processing everything, you know?"

Arun nodded understandingly. "It was a crazy day," he agreed. "But we made it out alive, and that's all that matters."

Rohan smiled weakly, grateful for Arun's words of comfort. He leaned his head back against the seat, letting out a deep breath. "Yeah," he said. "That's all that matters."

As the car continued on its way to Rithvik's mansion, Rohan eventually dozed off, his head leaning against the window. Sara, still asleep with her head on Rohan's shoulder, stirred slightly as the car hit a bump in the road but quickly settled back into a deep slumber.

Rithvik's phone vibrated in his pocket, pulling him out of his thoughts. He glanced at the screen and saw that he had a new message notification. But before he could check it, Arun reached over and grabbed the phone from the car stand, his eyes scanning the message.

Rithvik tensed, his grip on the steering wheel tightening. "What does it say?" he asked, his voice low.

Arun's expression was grim as he read out the message. "It's from Sanjay," he said. "He's not happy about what happened in the warehouse. He says he's going to make you pay."

Rithvik's jaw tightened. "I expected as much," he said. "We'll deal with him."

Arun nodded, his gaze serious. "We will," he said. "But we need to be careful. He's not going to let this go easily."

Rithvik nodded in agreement, his mind already working on a plan to deal with Sanjay and his men. But as he drove closer to his mansion, he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. The events of the day had left him on edge, and the message from Sanjay only added to his growing sense of danger.

As they approached the gates of Rithvik's mansion, he noticed that his security detail was on high alert. The guards were all armed and their eyes were constantly scanning the area for any signs of trouble.

Arun noticed Rithvik's unease and placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry, my friend," he said. "We're here to protect you. And besides, you've dealt with Sanjay before. You know how to handle him."

Rithvik nodded, grateful for Arun's words of encouragement. But deep down, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. As they pulled up to the front entrance, he instructed the guards to be on high alert and to double-check all of the security systems.

Once inside the mansion, Rithvik went straight to his office, where he began to work on a plan to deal with Sanjay and his men. He knew that he couldn't let them get the upper hand, especially after the events of the day.

As he worked, his mind kept drifting back to Kishika and the way she had looked at him before she fainted. He couldn't deny the intense attraction he felt towards her, but he also knew that he had to keep his focus on the task at hand.

Just then, his phone rang, interrupting his thoughts. It was Kishika. "Rithvik, are you okay?" she asked, her voice filled with concern.

Rithvik felt a sense of relief wash over him at the sound of her voice. "I'm fine, Kishika," he said. "Just dealing with a few things here. How are you feeling?"

"I'm better, thank you," she said. "I just wanted to make sure you were okay."

Rithvik smiled to himself, touched by her concern. "I'm fine, Kishika," he repeated. "Don't worry about me."

As they ended the call, Rithvik knew that he had to focus on the present and deal with the danger at hand. He couldn't let his feelings for Kishika distract him from what needed to be done.

Rithvik took a deep breath and tried to clear his mind. He had to be focused and alert, especially now that Sanjay was after him. He knew he had to come up with a plan, and fast.

Arun, who had been listening intently to the conversation, spoke up. "What are you going to do now, Rithvik? How are you going to handle this?"

Rithvik thought for a moment before responding. "I need to gather my men and figure out our next move. We need to be prepared for anything. Sanjay is a dangerous man and we can't take any chances."

Arun nodded in agreement. "I'll make some calls and get the guys ready. We'll be there to back you up."

Rithvik smiled gratefully. "Thanks, Arun. I appreciate it. We'll get through this together."

As they pulled up to the gates of Rithvik's mansion, he couldn't help but feel a sense of relief. He knew he was safe here, with his men and his resources. But he also knew that Sanjay wouldn't back down easily. The coming days were going to be a challenge, but Rithvik was ready for whatever lay ahead.

he headed straight to his private study, where he kept all his confidential information and weapons. He knew he had to plan his next move carefully if he wanted to stay ahead of Sanjay and his men.

Rithvik sat down at his desk and started going through the information he had on Sanjay's organization. He made notes, drew maps, and studied the weak points in Sanjay's operations. He was determined to strike back hard and fast, to send a message that he wasn't someone to be messed with.

As he worked, Rithvik's thoughts kept drifting back to Kishika. He couldn't shake the feeling that he was falling for her, despite knowing that it was dangerous and unwise. But he couldn't deny the connection he felt with her, the way she made him feel alive.

Rithvik shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts. He knew he had to focus on the task at hand, and not let his emotions cloud his judgment. He took a deep breath and continued working, determined to come out on top in this deadly game of cat and mouse with Sanjay.

As Rithvik delved deeper into his plans, he started to feel a sense of satisfaction. He knew that his strategy was solid and that he had a good chance of taking down Sanjay's organization once and for all. However, he also knew that there was always a risk involved, and that he couldn't afford to make any mistakes.

As he was going through his weapons, he received a call from one of his trusted men. "Boss, we've got a problem," the man said. "Sanjay's men have been spotted in the area. They're moving in on our turf."

Rithvik's heart raced as he realized that Sanjay wasn't going to wait for him to make the first move. He had to act fast if he wanted to protect his men and his territory. "I'm on my way," he said, grabbing his gun and rushing out of the study.

Certainly. Rithvik and Sanjay's men were fighting in an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city. Rithvik had chosen this location specifically because it was far away from any residential areas, and he didn't want to risk any innocent lives being caught in the crossfire. He had also made sure that none of his family members knew about the warehouse or his illegal activities there.

He met up with his men at the gate and quickly assessed the situation. Sanjay's men had already breached their defenses and were moving in on their positions. Rithvik gave out orders to his men and together, they engaged in a fierce firefight.

Bullets whizzed past Rithvik's head as he fired his own gun, taking out several of Sanjay's men. He could feel his heart pounding in his chest as he ducked behind cover, trying to avoid the enemy's gunfire.

As the battle raged on, Rithvik's men were taking heavy fire. Sanjay's men had superior numbers and firepower, and Rithvik knew they couldn't hold out much longer. He decided to take matters into his own hands and headed straight for Sanjay, determined to take him down once and for all.

After what felt like hours, the firefight finally died down. Rithvik and his men had emerged victorious, but they had also suffered losses. Rithvik couldn't help but feel a sense of guilt and sadness for the men who had given their lives in service of his organization.

But he also knew that this was only the beginning. Sanjay wouldn't stop until he was dead, and Rithvik had to stay one step ahead of him if he wanted to survive. With a heavy heart, Rithvik retreated back into his private mansion to regroup and plan his next move. About his private mansion no one knew about it only Arun knew about it.

After the fight, Rithvik knew he had to lay low for a while, to avoid any retaliation from Sanjay's men. He also knew that he couldn't keep his secret life hidden from Kishika for much longer. The risk of losing her was too great, and he couldn't bear the thought of that.

After the fight Rithvik came at his mansion where his family is also living after discussing plan with his men. Rithvik came inside of his room and sat down on the edge of his bed, feeling exhausted both mentally and physically. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing thoughts. He knew he had to tell Kishika the truth about his life, but he also knew that it would be dangerous for her to be involved with him. He didn't want to put her in harm's way.

But he couldn't deny the growing feelings he had for her. He cared about her deeply, and he knew he couldn't keep this secret from her forever. He had to trust that she would understand, that she would see that he was doing what he had to do to protect himself and his family.

Rithvik reached for his phone and dialed Kishika's number. His heart was pounding as he waited for her to answer.

"Hey, Rithvik," Kishika said, her voice soft and warm.

"Hey, Kishika," Rithvik replied, trying to keep his voice steady. "Can we meet? There's something I need to talk to you about."

"Of course," Kishika said. "Is everything okay?"

Rithvik hesitated for a moment, then took a deep breath. "No, everything's not okay," he said. "But I'll explain everything when I see you."

Kishika didn't press for more information, sensing that Rithvik needed some space. They agreed to meet at a coffee shop near her apartment in an hour.

Rithvik hung up the phone and took another deep breath. He knew that telling Kishika the truth was the right thing to do, but he couldn't help feeling a sense of dread. He had no idea how she would react to the news, and he couldn't bear the thought of losing her.

Rithvik drove to the park near Kishika's house, where they had agreed to meet. He parked his car and waited nervously for her to arrive. As he sat there, he couldn't help but feel a sense of dread. What if she couldn't accept who he was? What if she turned away from him?

Finally, he saw Kishika walking towards him, a small smile on her face. He got out of the car and walked towards her, his heart beating faster with each step.

"Hey," he said, trying to sound casual.

"Hey," she replied, her smile fading slightly as she sensed his nervousness. "Is everything okay?"

Rithvik hesitated for a moment, then took a deep breath. "There's something I need to tell you," he said, his voice low.

Kishika looked at him curiously. "What is it?"

Rithvik took another deep breath, then said, "I'm not who you think I am. I have a secret life that I've been keeping hidden from you."

Kishika's eyes widened in surprise. "What do you mean?"

Rithvik looked down at the ground, unable to meet her gaze. "I'm part of a mafia organization," he said quietly. "I've been involved in some... unsavory activities."

Kishika stared at him in shock, her mind struggling to process what she had just heard. "You're... you're a criminal?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Rithvik nodded, his heart heavy. "Yes. And I know that this is a lot to take in, but I wanted to tell you the truth. I couldn't keep it hidden from you any longer."

Kishika shook her head in disbelief. "I can't believe this," she said, her voice trembling. "I never would have guessed..."

Rithvik reached out to touch her arm, but she pulled away. "Please, Kishika, listen to me," he said, desperation creeping into his voice. "I know this is a lot to take in, but I had to tell you. I couldn't keep lying to you."

Kishika looked up at him, tears in her eyes. "I... I need some time to process this," she said, her voice shaking. "I can't just... I can't just pretend like everything's okay."

Rithvik nodded, his heart sinking. "I understand," he said. "Take all the time you need. But please... please don't think that I'm a bad person. I've done some things that I'm not proud of, but I'm trying to make things right."

Kishika looked at him for a long moment, then turned and walked away without another word. Rithvik watched her go, his heart heavy with guilt and regret. He knew that he had taken a huge risk by telling her the truth, but he couldn't keep living a lie. Now, all he could do was wait and hope that she would eventually forgive him.

Kishika "Hey" She said and shake him a little

Rithvik tried to push aside his inner turmoil and focus on the conversation with Kishika. He could feel the weight of his secret life bearing down on him, but he knew he couldn't reveal the truth to her. Not yet, at least.

He took a deep breath and looked at Kishika. "I'm sorry," he said. "I was just lost in my thoughts for a moment. What did you ask?"

Kishika gave him a quizzical look. "I asked if everything is okay. You seemed a bit distracted."

Rithvik forced a smile. "Yeah, everything's fine. I just have to go out of town for a few days for some business purposes. That's all."

Kishika looked at him, concern etched on her face. "Is everything okay with the business? Do you need any help?"

Rithvik shook his head. "No, it's nothing like that. Just a routine thing. I'll be back in a few days, I promise."

Kishika nodded, but Rithvik could tell that she was still worried. He wanted to reassure her, to tell her everything, but he knew that he couldn't. Not yet.

"I should probably get going," Rithvik said, standing up. "I have a lot to do before I leave."

Kishika stood up as well, a hint of disappointment in her eyes. "Okay," she said. "Take care of yourself, okay? And don't hesitate to call if you need anything."

Rithvik nodded, his heart heavy as he walked away from her. He knew that he was lying to her, and he couldn't shake the feeling that he was betraying her trust. But he had no other choice. He had to keep his secret life hidden, no matter the cost.

As Rithvik walked away, he couldn't help but feel a sense of emptiness. He had never felt this way before, not even after a hard day at work. He knew that he had to keep his secret life hidden from Kishika, but it pained him to lie to her.

Rithvik decided to focus on his work, as it was the only way to distract himself from his thoughts. He spent the next few days planning and strategizing, determined to stay one step ahead of Sanjay and his men.

Meanwhile, Kishika couldn't stop thinking about Rithvik. She couldn't shake the feeling that something was off, that he was hiding something from her. But every time she tried to confront him, he would change the subject or make an excuse to leave.

Finally, after three days of no contact, Kishika couldn't take it anymore. She decided to go to Rithvik's mansion and demand an explanation.

As she arrived at the gates, she saw Rithvik's men standing guard. She approached them and asked to speak to Rithvik, but they told her that he was out of town on business and wouldn't be back for a few more days.

Kishika felt a sense of disappointment and frustration. She couldn't understand why Rithvik was being so secretive and distant. But she knew that she had to respect his boundaries and wait for him to come back.

As the days passed, Kishika couldn't stop thinking about Rithvik. She missed him, and she wanted to know what was going on. But she also knew that she had to give him space and time to sort things out.

Finally, after a week, Rithvik returned to the mansion. Kishika immediately called him and asked to meet him at a nearby park. Rithvik agreed, and they met later that night.

As they sat on a bench, Kishika looked at Rithvik with concern in her eyes. "What's been going on?" she asked. "You've been so distant lately."

Rithvik took a deep breath and looked away. "I'm sorry, Kishika. I've just been dealing with some personal stuff. But everything's fine now."

Kishika didn't buy it. "Is it something to do with your work?" she asked. "You can tell me, Rithvik. I won't judge you."

Rithvik hesitated, knowing that he couldn't tell her the truth. "It's just some business stuff," he said, evasively. "I had to go out of town for a few days."

Kishika could sense that he was lying, but she didn't push the issue. She knew that Rithvik had his reasons for keeping secrets, and she didn't want to make things more complicated.

"I understand," she said, giving him a small smile. "Just know that I'm here for you, Rithvik. Whatever you're going through, I'm here to support you."

Rithvik felt a sense of gratitude and relief wash over him. He knew that he was lying to Kishika, but he also knew that she was someone he could trust and rely on. He leaned over and gave her a gentle kiss, feeling a sense of comfort in her presence.

As they parted ways, Rithvik knew that he had made the right decision in keeping his secret life hidden from Kishika. He couldn't risk losing her, no matter the cost.
