13 Reward

Esdeath's Pov--

He is trying to run away again. I won't let him go this time. Raising my hand, I gave him a neck chop while he stood motionless as if he waited for something to happen.

He lost his balance and is falling down, but I won't let him fall on the ground. I crouched down and held him by my arms before he fell to the ground.

"Got you..."

I glanced at his face, which rested on my shoulder.

*Doki* Doki*

[Something weird is happening again. I have to know what's this. Did he do something to me? Once I arrive in Doan, I will have to investigate this issue.]

"Esdeath-Sama, thank you" The villagers are showing their gratitude to me.

"Instead of thanking me, you should be thanking this guy, even if he doesn't know any of you people, with his life on the line he tried to save all of you."

Everyone is calm.

[These people, they are just fools who worship only the strong.]

----In truth, the villagers wanted to Thank Louis, but because Esdeath knocked him down, they got confused on how to thank him so they remained silent.---

*Whistle* I blew a whistle and my ride came in an instant. Carrying the knocked out Louis in my hands, I took him above the clouds.

The sunlight is falling on his face.

[I wonder who he is and from where he came from.]

I sorted out his messy hair with my index finger, his lips are drawing my finger towards it like a magnet. So, I gently touched his lips with my finger. This isn't enough, my heart keeps on telling me to do something even more. It feels like my lips are starving. So under the warm sun in the vast sky on the baby ice dragon, I touched his warm soft lips with mine.

Louis Pov---

[This time that robotic voice said nothing much, I mean it hasn't even been 6 hours since I was last awake.]

I opened my eyes, but it was still dark. The pain from the chop is still stinging on my neck, I cannot move my body, I can't feel my arms or legs. My memories of spending time with Yuno which I tried to forget came rushing in. It felt like the same when I used to sleep with Yuno.

*shiver*

Slowly some changes are happening, I can smell something sweet. It looks like there is a cushion beneath me. I am getting goosebumps from chills. I felt something on my face; I tried to move my hand, and it moved. I touched my face with my hand. There was some cloth present there which made it troubling for me to breathe. I took a hold of it to cast it aside and threw the cloth away from my face. I opened my eyes again.

"Stop" I heard some voice.

All I can see is a red ceiling with golden corners and half of a fancy hanging ceiling light that isn't lit, and a red wall on my left with some painting. I rolled my head towards my right to see the source of the voice. As I turned, sun rays from the windows bombarded my eyes, so I am not able to see who stood there. I can only see the silhouette of someone who is standing in front of the window.

It took a second to adjust my eyes to the strong sunlight. Gradually, I can see sunlight reflecting from the glossy light blue hair of someone. Followed by a girl's cute face that turned red. On closer inspection, it looked like the girl turned red because she is feeling shy about something.

[I wonder what it is.]

Her light blue hair is medium length and reached just her neck, her right eye hid behind her hair while her large light blue left eye glimmered. She also has hair clips towards the left side of her hair, a flower-shaped ribbon on the same side of her hair, and a maid hairband. She seems to cover her body with a large white cloth, which she held in her hands below her neck.

"What's your name?" I asked vaguely.

"R...R...Rem" She answered and dashed out of my vision, dragging a large white cloth on the floor.
