158 Dare to leave?

'Tick! Tack! Tick! Tack!'

The hands of the huge grandfather clock in the sitting room of the Inn hugged each other firmly the moment they reached the house of the twelve.

Silence prevailed in the hall as most of the guards were either patrolling outside or taking a rest. However, faint and careful footsteps disturbed that beautiful silence as the maid signed someone, waving her hand to follow her. 

In a few minutes, a slender shadow, wrapped in a black cloak followed the maid towards the maid exits of the inn. Their steps were careful like a cat and their alarmed eyes were examining their surroundings again and again until they reached the dusty and suffocating storeroom of the inn.

The maid unlocked the small and rusty exit door and whispered in her timid tone, "M'lady, from here walk straight for a while and then, take right twice. Just follow the direction of the watch tour and you will find the hot spring."
