Chapter 6- Does anyone have a rubber suit?

"And what's with the projector thing? Hah..." A mocking smile escaped Lilian's lips. "Who put you up on this? Why sent me to this place? What's their purpose? How much did they pay you exactly?" Her series of questions deepened the creases on Dijiu's forehead.

The first half of her inquiries were weird but the second half, Dijiu could answer, however, Second Miss' explicitly reminded not to tell Suyan of anything about her plan. It was nearing noon and the gathering will end soon, the elders and old patriarch will finished discussing the transfer of properties to a suitable heir. The Old patriarch was very adamant on handing the clan's wealth on this Suyan no matter who voiced out objections, though majority of the Elders stood on Second Miss' side, the Old patriarch' connections and retainers were not to be underestimated.

Thus, Second Miss' thought of this plan to trick Suyan into missing the gathering, therefore that it will have the Old Patriarch bear dislikes on her. This scheme will jeopardize the old man's initial plan and the elders will insinuate criticisms on the Eldest Miss' unreliable attitude that might cause the clan's complete downfall.

Dijiu will be rewarded in the process and when that happens he will be out of this clingy woman's sight.

Still, half an hour is needed to keep Suyan's attention away.

"What? Can't answer? Is it the Harrison? Or Techno?" Lilian recalled those nerds who were constantly sending bugs into her games. Chi- Did they realized sending bugs won't do a damn thing and decided to kidnap her instead? Really brainless idiots- Tracing IP, banks accounts, CCTVs and any transactions done online will be easy! They're really eager to be imprisoned.

Dijiu didn't know what to say, confusion, and bafflement spread throughout his visage.

"What are you saying Suyan? I don't understand a single thing!" Dijiu responded keeping his attitude in check. He needed to maintain his appearance and distract Suyan. A little more time.

[Player: First Task is issued! Be the Feng's clan heir.

Rewards: A level two flying plume

Punishment: A bolt of lightning]

There is it again! Where is the projector anyway?

"Darn it! Where did you hide that projector? Just say it!" Her voice was raise to a several notch. Two hands started to make the mess out of the room aiming to search for the source of her irritation.

Dijiu only watched at the side-lines while she was busy rummaging and trying to find something in the room. He was stunned on what could possibly put her on edge. 'This Suyan is getting out of hand.' He couldn't guess what was going on her head.

After a several minutes, the unsoiled room became unrecognizable due to Lilian's doing. Sheets were sprawled all over, the embroidered partition was thrown down on the floor, calligraphies were torn to pieces, and everything did not escape Lilian's claws.

"Where is it?" Lilain held her forehead trying to contain the rage.

"Suyan, why are you angry? Did I do something wrong?" Despite not catching a single hint of what she's saying, Dijiu did his best not to hurl curses. He tried to reduce his voice to a softer one, but it came out unnatural.

His figure stood in front of her blocking her vision of the screen.

"Darn it! Quit acting! Where's the projector that you used for that screen?" Lilian held his face and fixed it to the screen's direction. But the only screen Dijiu knew of the screen that was thrown on the floor. So what was Suyan asking about? There was nothing but a white wall.

"I see nothing of the screen you're saying." Dijiu replied honestly as the hands on his cheeks scalded his skin.

"Hah, your acting is really on Oscar level. What are you pretending to be blind for? That huge screen is just a few feet from our faces." Her hold became tighter causing Dijiu to feel a little bit of pain. This Suyan was still a descendant of a powerful beast ancestor, even though she was the weakest among the younger generations; her strength was still above him. This fact paled his face a little. He wanted to use Fox Fragrance but the restored energy in his veins had reduced to a pitiful amount after two failures.

"Still not admitting?" Lilian was done interrogating him and quickly dragged his face just a few inches to the screen. The first mission task as still displayed but there were additional words at the bottom, 'A warning will be given due to Player's inactivity in 5…4…3…

Lilian watched the countdown with a sneer. She wanted to force him again but there was a sudden deafening sound of thunder coming from outside.

Ting-

[Player must do the quest otherwise warnings will be issued constantly.]

The thunder's sounding resounded again. Never ending bolts were launched outside.

Lilian's hearts beat fast as the gaps when the curtains swayed showed those flashes of white lights and drumming roars of the heavens.

"Is the thunder still your doing?" Lilain asked albeit in a small voice.

Dijiu's expression contorted. This Suyan became crazy. I can hear no thunders at all.

The ringtone she heard a while ago interrupted her doubts to flourish.

Lilian released her hold on him and traced the sound by ear.

Her feet stepped on a rock solid object that was changing colors and issuing the ringtone sounds.

She picked it up on curiosity and placed it on her ear to confirm if she was having delusions.

But-

"Suyan, where are you? The Old Patriarch is waiting for you since three hours ago. Quickly get here as soon as possible! You have twenty minutes remaining otherwise you'll be excommunicated."

How can a human voice be contained inside a rock? This is unscientific.

And Suyan again? I'm not Suyan! Darn it!

"When are you people going to stop calling me Suyan? Ah! This is making me angry!"

Dijiu wanted to intercept their conversation but Suyan's response stopped him from doing anything. That was the voice of the close confidant of the Old Patriarch. Suyan will be highly respectful to him whenever they talk but this moment, she was like a raging beast putting on fires without showing any respect for the Old Patriarch's right hand.

Ah! Suyan, she became crazy! She really went nuts!

Lilian issued another curses at the rock which was continuing on releasing rants.

It was unusual for her to be fired up but she had enough of their pranks.

Ting-

[Final warning!]

That mechanical voice made another appearance and the screen flashed along with it. Lilian wanted to retaliate but her voice died down upon the noise.

BANG!

Lilian dropped the rock on the ground and stepped back.

The place where she stood seconds ago was discharging black wisps of smoke.

She stared at the perfectly compact ceiling devoid any marks and the pristine curtains.

[Player is advised to heed the system's commands otherwise the lighting will not miss the target again]

"So this was not a prank?" She kneeled on the floor. Reality finally sunk in.

"Damn brat! I'll give you twenty minutes to get your feathers at the ancestral home!" The rock vibrated.

She picked it up and answered in a meek voice. "Does anyone have a rubber suit?"
