24 CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR
ARIEL POV
"So you won't comply willingly?" The husband asked, "Grab three of them and make sure the boy kneel and apologize." He ordered the guards.
I felt like I wasn't hearing things clearly and turned to the headmaster but he pretended not to have heard anything that the man said.
It would have been great if it was just a joke, but the guards came and grabbed me Leo and Jason, my baby Jason!!!
How dare they! My fucking baby!! My eyes glistened with rage and I was ready to go on a murder spree when I got an eye signal from Leo.
He told me not to attack and that I should let them do as they please or I blow my cover, and he was right, how can a mere weak actress like me handle well trained bodyguards.
I watched as the men pushed Jason about, trying to force him to his knees, my blood boiled with rage, and i almost at the verge of tears, Fuck this job! I thought to myself, ready to break loose from the bodyguard hold, when a voice that made everyone pause their movements was heard.
"I'm sorry I came late, there was a bit of traffic." A cool and majestic voice sounded.
"Mr Dixon!!!!" The headmaster jumped up his feet and sprinted to go greet Vincent, while the child's father signalled the men to let me go.
Immediately I was free, I rushed to Jason side hurriedly.
"Baby are you okay?" I asked hurriedly, checking his whole body to see a bruise on his knee, I was livid and glared hard at the child's father, marking his face making sure it's imbedded in my heart, he'll surely pay for hurting my baby.
"Does it hurt?" I asked carefully touching his bruise with caution, afraid to hurt him.
"It's alright mom, it is not painful." He smiled at me, oh, my little sunshine, I immediately brought him into my embrace and hugged him tightly before focusing on what Vincent had come here to do.
To be honest, this man is a work of art, I understand why my drunk self could not resist him at that time, he looked so freaking hot and the charisma he carried is so powerful that one trembles at the sight of him.
"Why are you here Mr Dixon?" The couple stood up immediately with flattering smiles on their face.
"Isn't it obvious? I come here to see my woman and child being mistreated!" Vincent said coolly.
My heartbeat stopped as I heard those words, did he manage to find out, how come, the director made sure to hide everything well enough, this is bad.
Just like me, everyone else in the room was shocked at Vincent's words, Leo looked at me giving me a signal asking if i told Vincent everything and I shook my head in response, i wanted nothing to do with the man, why will I tell him?
I felt a slight tug on my sleeves and looked below to see Jason staring at me with questions in his eyes.
I was grateful to the Almighty that I usually wore the mask on Jason anytime we went out, because if he's seen without it in this kind of situation, it will be devastating results that'll follow.
"But sir, I thought Annabel and Miss Mirabel are your-" the headmaster was about to say before being cut off by Vincent, "Can't i have as many women and children as i want?" Vincent replied, raising his eyebrows as if he was asking the headmaster to dare him, it was common for rich men to have many children and mistress, so the headmaster shut up immediately.
The couple were already shaking in their boots when they heard Vincent's word, who wouldn't? They hurt his child and almost forced him to kneel and apologise when one word from the father can ruin whatever business they have.
"We just remembered that we have some work to do, Camille, let's go." They immediately dragged their daughter arm, ready to run, "Mummy, daddy, didn't you say you were going to make Jason kneel and apologise?" Their little girl asked with a confused look on her face.
If not for the fact that my head is in a complete mess, I would have probably laughed at the daughter not reading the situation clearly.
"What are you saying?" Her parents asked covering her mouth before dragging her out of the office, and their bodyguards following them.
The headmaster kept on apologising to Vincent and blaming the parents for using their power to threaten him, what a pipsqueak!!
"Leo do you mind taking Jason to class, I want to have a talk with Vincent." I said, I haven't come up with the perfect lie yet, and wasn't ready to face Jason yet, He gave me an unwilling look, but i just handed him over to Leo who walked ahead of Vincent and me.
VINCENT POV
"Why did you do that?" The feisty woman asked immediately the boy and that so called Leo was gone.
I just shrugged in response, "Just saving a helpless lady." I added, "I could have handled it myself!!" She said through gritted teeth.
"Oh right, says the lady that being held down by a bodyguard, you could have done a lot." I stated sarcastically.
There was no way I'm telling her I wanted to help.
"Besides, who is that boy to you? In your application form, you didn't mention you had a child, how will the company handle it if a scandal of such starts out, when they themselves have no idea." I scolded, to be honest all what I said was just a show, all I wanted to know is who the father of the child is, was it Leo?
"Mr Dixon, that child is my sister's child, his parents died in a car accident when he was little and he's been with me ever since, to him, I'm his biological mother, so coming out of nowhere and saying that you are he's father might get him shaken." Phoebe explained, such a young girl had been through all these.
"I'll be his father." I blurted out without thinking, wait? Didn't I hate kids? The only kid that could come close enough to me is Anna, why am I offering to be a child's father out of nowhere, i should really make my appointment with the doctor.
"It seems Mr Vincent hardly had enough sleep last night and is mixing dreams with reality." Phoebe stated coldly, how dare she speak to me in such manner.
"The announcement ball is next week, make sure to come prepared, and make sure to steer clear of scandals." With that I brushed pass her coldly, not sparing her a glance.
What happened just now is a moment of me not thinking, it is probably due to last night hectic work.

"See you at the announcement ball, Mr Vincent." Ariel stated looking at his fading back, "And I'll make sure that's the last time anyone sees you." She added before heading outside to the gate where Leo was already waiting for her.
