ANGRY COUPLE

ANGRY COUPLE

"I believe my client here has told you the basics of what you are going to do for him." the lawyer pointed at Jack as he spoke. He handed over the contract for Lily to read.

She frowned in disbelief, "what the hell is this? This is outrageous. No, going to the club or any public gathering without your consent, are you my Dad?" Lily angrily voiced out, she was not happy with the terms of the contract given to her. She thought it was too intrusive and almost impossible.

He saw the furious expression on Lily's face, he didn't want her to lose her temper on him, "Calm down Ms. Evans, just listen, okay?"

Talking with Lily was beginning to give him a headache, she was hard to talk to. He wasn't done talking and already she wanted to fight him, he wished he could walk her out of the office but he needed her. She was quite beautiful and easy on the eyes but very unladylike in manner, he thought.

"This is a huge deal for my company and I don't want anything to ruin it. In case, you go to an event without me and my client happens to meet you there, what if he asks you strange questions and you can...." He paused as if recalling a memory, he had forgotten.

He chuckled briefly as if the memory he remembered was too funny.

"Why would any of my clients go to any of your pitiable events?" He asked rhetorically as if he couldn't believe himself for thinking that his client would ever go to such poor events.

Lily looked at Jack, she couldn't believe her ears, she thought Jack wanted to say something better but she was mistaken, She fumed and crossed her arms over and said, "Excuse me! Who do you think you are? Are you trying to insult me? I came here because of the way you begged me when we were talking on the phone "please don't refuse, please I am begging" and I came, you fool. After agreeing, what you did was insult me; you should be happy I am here, you asshole." Lily scoffed in indignation.

Jack smirked, he just wanted to make her more angry. The angry expression on her face was making him eager to annoy her the more, "you beggar! Pretending you didn't want the job whereas you were panting for it like a dog."

Lily inhaled angrily, responding to Jack's words, "You lowlife bastard! Yes, I did it for the money and so what?"

"Did I commit an offense when I decided to do it for the money?" she said angrily.

She wanted to punch him, right on his sharp jaw, at least it would make him have some sense. He was making her angry, she almost wished she had not come to the office, almost.

Nothing was going to make her leave without signing that contract, she needed the money. She wasn't earning enough at her job and she will use this one to add up. The money was magnanimous.
