5 Mutism

Bea walked into the orphanage with a beaming smile. The laughter of little children made her heart flutter, her eyes found way to a little boy playing with a soccer game with his friends, it reminded her of when Ian's dad burnt his soccer ball and jersey because he accidentally broke his car window while playing at the garden.

She decided to go to the large garden at the back of the building, Anika was still busy so she went alone to clear her head, the orphanage was large and the biggest in the country. Thanks to thousands of sponsors kids were educated at a really expensive school and the structure was similar to that of a five star hotel.

Bea walked to the garden and sat on a bench, wasn't she a good parent? She knew she had tried almost everything. She wanted to prove to her ex-husband that Ian would be perfect even if he wasn't in his life. Her request was granted when Ian won the national achievement award for the youngest graduate and also had MOVE corp at number one of the global rankings.

But his condition was breaking her heart, he refused to be called a patient which as why he refused to pay any therapist but she still did and forced him to comply with her emotional manipulation.

She sat down as tears welled up her eyes but her expression changed the second her gaze settled on someone at the garden.

A girl about the age of seventeen quietly and diligently painting a picture of some roses at the end of the garden close to the small lake . This girl wasn't just beautiful, she was an epitome and heavenly explanation of beauty; her long silky black hair was packed hair was packed into an admirable pony tail, her large almond shaped blue eyes were like a vast sparkling ocean, her white skin was so attractive and smooth and her small slightly full lips were dashing.

She made every stroke with ease and elegance, watching her made her feel calm and surprisingly she wasn't thinking about Ian anymore, watching her paint had a therapeutic sort of vibe and made her feel at ease and calm.

The girl turned and she spotted her, she dropped her paintbrush and palette on a table close by and walked up to her with her hands still stained with paint and sat close to her.

With a smile she brought out her smartphone, Bea found it rude that she was actually sitting close to her to use her device but was stunned when she heard a device-like voice emanating from the device.

"Hi," the girl said with the help of her phone when she noticed that Bea looked shocked too speak she typed. "I can't converse vocally, it's a pleasure to meet you,"

"I-It's a pleasure meeting you too, you paint really beautifully,"

"Thank you, I also draw and I'm into digital art," she typed.

Bea was shocked to the point of tears. Why was a beautiful girl, divinely crafted and made voiceless? She was expecting to listen to a melodious and captivating voice but this was totally heartbreaking.

She stared at the girl who was smiling broadly and damn she looked even more beautiful, Bea spotted on a smudge of paint on her face.

"Oh, you have something on your face," she said, brushing off the smudge lightly with her thumb.

"You're really beautiful,"the girl typed and Bea returned the compliment.

"You're even more beautiful, what's your name?"

" Ivy!! " a woman yelled and the girl stood up immediately.

" I'm sorry... Ms Kim, it's time for her piano class," the lady apologized. She wasn't shocked that Ivy got along with Bea because despite her inability to speak she won hearts without words.

" Oh, there's no need for any apologies, we're just getting to know each other, " Bea said with a smile she turned to look at Ivy who looked a little gloomy."You seem to have many talents," she complimented and Ivy smiled.

She attempted to pick up her paintbrushes and the other but the lady asked her to leave them there because there wasn't anytime left, Ivy left with the woman but she turned to wave at Bea who excitedly waved back with a smile and stood up to watch how she left.

Bea suddenly felt calm and peaceful all thoughts of her worries and troubles dissipated by merely talking to her. She looked at Ivy's painting she was almost done with it but to Bea her painting was a lot better than the original flowers, she was still enjoying the pleasant feeling when she got a text from Anika so she headed out.

"Where is he? " Tania inquired.

After thinking and trying to draft a perfect plan, she thought of visiting Ian to her it was much more presentable. She drove straight to MOVE when she concluded her appointment with a client.

"He's in his office," Niel replied and she walked directly to an elevator without rethinking.

When she got to Ian's office, he took a glimpse of her before proceeding with his work. She slowly walked towards his desk and the sound of her heels dominated the room, she sat down and looked around a little before speaking.

"I'm sorry about what happened today," she apologized. He stood up and walked to her, he changed his pants already so her assumptions of seeing him with his underwear wasn't correct. He leaned on the table and crossed his long sexy legs.

"Look..Tania if you want us to work, I have just three rules for dating" he said and she gulped.

" One, I'm not a fan of childish games, I only play games in bed. Two, I don't like girls who keep asking weird questions about me, if you aren't comfortable when I say something's private then you f××k off. Lastly, whenever I want to be alone respect that and quit forcing your self on me. As for other rules you'll discover along the line if you repeat this again then we're done."he threatened and she nodded like an automated contraction with a smile.

Even if his so-called rules were scary she had hope and faith that their chemistry won't blow up the romantic lab. She slowly unbuttoned her shirt with a flirtatious smile.

"I think we're done with our discussion..see you tomorrow." he said, and headed back to his desk. She buttoned up her shirt and left with an embarrassed face.
