Early Bird

--The Nydisian Kingdom, The Castle, Early Noon--

After Lucian departed from supper the previous night, many soon followed and retired to their chambers.

On the other hand, Katherine had spent the large majority of the evening up until early dawn in Lucian's company, and she was suffering for it now.

Her maids swiftly burst into the room full of energy as they tidied her room and prepared her a bath.

A small groan managed to stifle out of Katherine as the maids yanked open the curtain flooding the room with sunlight. "Good morning, Milady,"

Katherine sighed, almost regretting the fact that she had stayed up all night. Lucian was a night creature who couldn't possibly be affected by trifling things such as sleep.

Lucian had been reading the parchments on his desk, one after the other. And first, she too had been busy reading the book he had given her, but after she got tired of reading Lucian had kept her company.
