Chapter 8

"Sadly I thought it was just a legend until now," Veronia said after a long pause.

Veronia then said she had to return to her duties to shine light on the whole of Sharnem. Then 15 were stunned by the legend and had just realized why he landed at Ulentor Fort. He was needed badly so that he could wreak havoc on those who wronged the humans. They also realized he was needed to stop the troares. Crastros vowed to end the troares for good so that the town of unity may exist once again. He also vowed to avenge his fallen wife who he realized was alive as a spirit. He knew he may not come back from the fight against the troares. The others said they would help him on his mission. They all told the survivors of the attack would be safe at Ulentor as it was protected by the spirit of water and the grand spirit of creation. The 15 then started walking to the nearest military base to ask for help in avenging a near genocide of the half-breeds.

They arrived at an elven encampment. They walked in and asked to speak with the commander of the camp. The soldiers led them to the commander. They spoke to the commander and told the story of Half-Breed City. They convinced the elves to help them end the troares. Then the 15 walked to the human encampment and convinced them to work alongside the other races of Sharnem. They went to the goblins and they joined immediately. The orcs took a little more convincing but they agreed in the end. Then they went to the dwarves to ask them to help the other races of Sharnem. They agreed to it after the 15 killed a dragon. They killed the dragon and the dwarves joined. Then they set about the hardest part of uniting the races and went to the Krall Oasis. The iskanshoos told them that they had to complete the Krall trials. First they had to slay a dragon, then, they had to learn where the oldest spirit resided, finally, they had to kill the eldest of elder races. The last trial involved killing the fist troares.

Crastros went to where the bodies of those who kill his village. He dug up the oldest and grabbed his skull. He slew another dragon and found out the eldest of the spirits resided in the ground near the mountain of water.Crastros returned to the iskanshoos with proof that he did the Trials of Krall. The iskanshoos joined the United Army of Sharnem and then, Crastros gave the order to amass at Ulentor Fort.

The warriors from all the races of Sharnem arrived there a week later. The 15 porares gave them weapons and armor. They trained the warriors in their arts and caused the town of Unity to arise again. They all had trained for 6 months and then the knew that a pre-battle feast was being prepared. The porares began cooking the feast. They made suckling pig, mincemeat pie, rabbit stew, and many other types of food. The whole fort smelled amazing. It smelled like a lamb roast with an amazing glaze and then marinated in paprika and cinnamon. In short is smelled godly like bacon on the stove. They feasted on the food for a fortnight.

After the two weeks of feasting they marched on The Mountain of Fire. They arrived about a month later. Tactician got a map of the mountain and made plans. They waited for their army to arrive by plane. The heroes got ready for battle and set up defenses to protect the camp. They set up turrets and spirit sigils to protect the camp. Two days later the last of their army showed up. The camp smelled of oil and smoke as they prepped for a battle. They all were prepared to die in battle against the 30 troares. The army outnumbered them 900 to 1. The army of Sharnem donned their armor and grabbed their weapons.

The troares did the same and flew down the slopes like a flock of diving eagles. The troares flew around the camp because the spirit sigils made a barrier against the onslaught of the troares. The army waited until the troares landed. Then marched out of the barrier and the battle began.
