Malicious rumors about the Snow Wind Family

Alan had a rather satisfied expression on his face as Huyan Lanruo accomplished her objective. Alan just had to wait for a few days and then he could leak the details of the secret deal between the Snow Wind Family and the Alchemy Association.

The Huyan Family would be the first suspect because this information was disclosed shortly after this family began investigating the matter.

Alan knew that this matter couldn't affect the alliance between the Snow Wind Family and the Huyan Family, but this was sure to affect Ye Ziyun's mind.

This information wouldn't just affect Ye Ziyun. It would greatly startle the Snow Wind Family and Nie Li.

Nie Li and his comrades had no idea that Alan was scheming against them like that. Alan's words did shake up Nie Li's comrades a bit, but they decided to trust Nie Li in the end. However, this trust would be completely shaken up soon enough.

Three days passed by in the blink of an eye.

The rumor regarding the Alchemy Association and the Snow Wind Family began to spread. Even the Noble Heirs began discussing it in the Holy Orchid Institute.

Once these rumors reached the Holy Orchid Institute, Ye Ziyun naturally heard them as well.

"Did you hear? The Alchemy Association struck a secret deal with the Snow Wind Family. They have been supplying these new pellets to the Snow Wind Family for a meagre rate. I wonder why?"

"Hmph. Can't you even guess that? The Alchemy Association wants to increase their power and influence in the Glory City! What better way for them to increase their influence than to ensure that the City Lord's Mansion is on their side?!"

"You are right. I heard that, in return the City Lord's Mansion was ordered to ostracize the Sacred Family. Why do you think they would go up against the Sacred Family like that?"

"I am also puzzled about that. Just why would the Alchemy Association provoke the Sacred Family like that? Are they scheming something?"

Ye Ziyun felt that there was bound to be some truth in these rumors. There is no smoke without fire.

When she inquired her father and other members of the Snow Wind Family, all of them held a pensive and somewhat worried expression. They denied it, but there was a hint of hesitation in their denial.

Ye Ziyun also understood that this must be what Alan wanted her to find. Perhaps it was this deal that compelled her father to order her to stay away from Alan.

Ye Ziyun was a bit angry. She had always sacrificed her happiness for the family. Yet, her father didn't care about it. He didn't even seem to trust her yet. If so, he would have told her about this deal.

She didn't want to stay away from Alan just because her family had struck a secret deal with the Alchemy Association.

Thus, Ye Ziyun planned to rebel against her father's decision for the first time in her life. The next day, she sat next to Alan and began talking to him.

She spoke, "You were right. My family did have a secret deal with the Alchemy Association. I apologize for ignoring you, Shen Yue."

Coincidentally, Nie Li and his friends were passing by those seats and heard these words. Even they were startled to hear Ye Ziyun admit regarding the secret deal between the Snow Wind Family and the Alchemy Association.

This basically confirmed most of the rumors that had spread in the Glory City.

Nie Li's complexion turned ugly. He knew that this would completely destroy the Alchemy Association's prestige. And there was a chance that the Alchemy Association could reveal Nie Li's name to shift the blame.

Most importantly, he was frustrated that Ye Ziyun fell back into Alan's arms. Moreover, it seemed impossible to pull her away from Alan, even by using her family.

Alan stared at Nie Li and provoked him by showing a victorious smirk. Upon noticing that smile, Nie Li was extremely angry, but he controlled his emotions and sat on his seat.

Meanwhile, Alan stared at Ye Ziyun with a bitter smile, "…I was truly hurt when I found out the truth, Ziyun. You began ignoring me just because of your father's orders. You didn't even try to find out the reason. Was our friendship that weak? Or do you not consider us friends at all?"

"…This…No…That's not it! I…I was confused. My father ordered me to stay away from you, and I didn't want to disobey him. I was really distraught by this order too! I wanted to talk to you too!" Ye Ziyun spoke a bit frantically.

Xiao Ning'er entered the classroom around that time, so Alan and Ye Ziyun had to cut off this conversation. But Ye Ziyun urgently longed for Alan's answer.

Alan happily greeted Xiao Ning'er, "Heya. You are looking good."

Xiao Ning'er received that compliment with a smile and sat right next to him. In fact, she was glued to him.

Ye Ziyun became upset when she noticed it. However, she didn't stay idle.

She shifted her position to Alan's side. Similar to Xiao Ning'er, Ye Ziyun was glued to Alan's body.

Nie Li and his group were observing this from their seats. They were surprised to see Ye Ziyun acting so cheekily again.

Nie Li hatefully glared at Alan while grinding his teeth.

Alan didn't even need to turn his head to know Nie Li's expression. He was sure that Nie Li was grinding his teeth in anger.

To add fuel to the fire, Alan placed his hands over the waist of these two beauties sitting beside him. He then turned his head in Nie Li's direction mouthed off a certain word.

Nie Li naturally understood what Alan had mouthed off and became so angry that he stood up while flaring his soul force.

The word that Alan mouthed off earlier was none other than "mine."

Alan was suggesting to Nie Li that both these women were his possession!

Nie Li didn't care much about Xiao Ning'er, but the fact that Alan could boast about his hold over Ye Ziyun truly enraged him to no end.

The teacher soon entered the classroom. It was Xue Yin, the inscription teacher at the Holy Orchids Institute.
