(Jing's POV)

(Location: Glory City > Five Years Later)

Whistling a light tune, I was reminded that today marked five years since I was reborn in this world. By now, I had already come to accept my fate; there was no use denying it anymore. I had used the last five years to memorize all the knowledge in my head, and even though I spent every moment that I was awake trying to process the knowledge, I had barely even made a dent.

I had to hand it to Nei, that dude really did memorize everything and anything he could get his hands on– the knowledge in my head easily went over thousands of different cultivation techniques.

But anyway, it turns out I was reborn into the Divine Family in Glory City, and to my surprise and fortune, I was the son of the Patriarch: meaning I was officially a Young Master, which was something that made me cringe without fail every time someone said it to me.

Both my dad and mom are Black Gold cultivators, which means I was quite safe before all the crazy shit went down. The resources that I will have available once I start cultivating are going to be insane as well.

That reminds me, I can begin cultivating in one more year, as the age of six is when a person's soul realm becomes stable. So far, I've already been living a life that would make even kings jealous, however, I know for a fact that if my talent is mediocre my treatment in the Divine Family will be completely different.

Regardless of that, since I couldn't begin my cultivation journey quite yet, I instead decided to train my physical body through exercising and sparring against kids older than my age. It turns out that humans in this world are way stronger than those on Earth, not that it was something I wasn't expecting.

So here I was, about to spar against someone five years older than me. Due to the fact that I had the absolute cheat code that was Nie Lie's battle experience, I had begun to practice his fighting style, and over time I came to realize that his instincts were also practically engrained within my body at this point. Combining all that with my fit body and powerful bloodline, meant that I could easily win against kids my age, and even beat children up to 10 years old.

"Young Master, let me know when to stop," A kid with blonde hair said to me in a nervous tone.

Hiding a frown I replied, "Don't worry about holding back, I can take it. No one will blame you if you hurt me, this is a spar after all."

We were currently outside at the family's training grounds and prior to my arrival, numerous people were hanging around in the training grounds either talking, training, or sparring; however, once I arrived everyone crowded around the arena I was going to fight.

'Seems like my reputation proceeds myself,' I mused as I glanced at my opponent warily.

"If you say so, Young Master," he replied before entering the ring as well.

Truth be told I had quite the hype behind me, I was the young master of the Divine Family and a known genius before I even started cultivating: I had previously fought against people far older than me and won, so it wasn't unwarranted.

"Hey, can you count down to three for us, please?" I asked one of the bystanders, to which he gladly nodded.

(3rd Person POV - I'm not that great at writing first person POV fights so most of the fights will be in 3rd Person POV)

"Begin In… 3,2,1!"

As soon as the countdown finished, Jing launched himself forward with incredible speed. His opponent, taken aback by Jing's sudden burst of energy, barely managed to raise his hands to guard in time. Jing's fist struck with precision, aiming for his opponent's abdomen, and even though the attack was blocked, the force still sent him reeling slightly.

The crowd gasped in awe as they witnessed the power behind Jing's strike. However, to everyone's surprise, his opponent managed to withstand the blow, his expression showing both shock and determination.

Jing, however, didn't give his opponent a moment to recover. He swiftly followed up with a series of quick and agile kicks, aiming for his opponent's legs and torso. His movements were fluid and graceful, a testament to his training and the skills he had 'acquired'.

As the fight continued on, more and more people joined the crowd, and there were four people watching from the shadows with a look of surprise on their faces. Those four consisted of Jing's parents and two members of the Snow Wind Family: Ye Zong and Ye Xiu.

"Zhen, looks like your little boy is a genius," Xiu complimented as he watched the ongoing battle.

"Of course, he's our son, and he's been training ever since he could walk," Ning replied as she watched the fight with a proud look on her face.

"Why don't you bring him over to the mansion later? I'm sure Ziyun will appreciate a new friend." Ye Zong replied before disappearing alongside the rest of his family members.

"Will you look like that? Did you teach his fighting style? I've never seen it before," Zhenlong asked his wife, curious as the fight ended in Jing's victory.

"No, I haven't, I noticed he's been using this since he could fight. At the start, it looked clumsy and unrefined as if even he didn't know what he was doing, but slowly over time, it became something that let him fight against people above his age."

"I advised him to choose something from the family's library, but he was adamant and said he knew what he was doing and to trust in him," Ning replied, laughing as she could still remember the day. Zhenlong didn't reply as his gaze was instead focused on his son as he watched him offer his hand to his opponent with pride and joy.

"I'll make sure to assign some guards to watch over him in secret," Zhenlong said, knowing a genius of his son's level is bound to attract danger, either from other families or the Dark Guild, as they are known to kill geniuses before they reach their full potential.

"Yes, I'd rather not take any chances with our son," Ning replied as, much to their surprise, their son started waving at them once the crowd dispersed. Both of them were hiding in the crowd, and as such, no one should have been able to see them.

"Mom, Dad, did your meeting with the City Lord finish?"

"Yes, it finished earlier than expected," Zhenlong replied with a smile as he approached Jing, patting him on the back. "You did a great job out there, son. Your skills are impressive."

Ning joined them, her eyes filled with pride. "You're growing up to be an exceptional young man, Jing. We're proud of you."

Jing beamed at his parents' praise. "Thanks, Mom and Dad. I've been training hard to make the family proud." Jing lied smoothly. He didn't care too much about the Divine Family, but over the five years he had become quite close to his parents– they had taken care of him when he was unable to do so himself.

Zhenlong chuckled. "You've certainly achieved that, my boy. But remember, strength alone isn't everything. Cultivating your character and wisdom is equally important."

"I know, Mom told me, that's why I have been reading all kinds of alchemy and inscription books. I want to be able to do everything when I start cultivating."

"Hahaha, that's gonna be quite difficult, but if it's you, I'm sure you can do it," Zhenlong laughed as he ruffled his son's hair. In the short time he had spent with Jing, he had come to have unconditional faith in his abilities, and because of that he truly did believe that his son could do it.

Ning glanced around, making sure they were alone before speaking softly. "Jing, your father and I have decided to introduce you to the Snow Wind family. They've invited us to their mansion."

"We visit them tomorrow, make sure to be on your best behavior."
