4 Chapter 4

It was already really dark. Those damned demon beast didn't stop appearing until I got near the outskirts of Glory City. I'm not a main character. One would probably stay in the wilderness for a couple days or weeks. I may have a solid foundation and all for my age but I'm still pretty new to all this.

I limped my ass forward continuously until I reached my little hut. Gosh I was so exhausted. I threw my spoils down onto the ground and also fell. I didn't wake up until the next day at noon. My body was tired all over and I felt very dirty. I decided to cultivate again before going to clean myself.

A couple hours later it was already night again. After I cleaned myself off I looked at my earnings. I had quite a few earnings. Amongst the pile of demon beast corpse there was a head sized pouch. In it was my foot. I had to gut open the Lighting-Fire Wolf for it. After which I use some of its fur and skin to make a pouch. I gutted the rest of the corpse to save some weight and did that with the many other demon beast I deemed good enough for profit along the way back. Of course I saved important organs like theirs hearts, livers, and kidneys…

These weren't the only gains I had. I had broken through to 5 star bronze and had many insights. After many battles I had gotten a general idea of my battle power. I also got more in tune with my body and soul. I had gotten stronger. This was the best gain in a sense, experience.

It was already late at night and I couldn't sell the demon beasts since the market was closed. For now I should look for a way to get my foot back. Having only one foot was a bother. After doing some extensive research I found various techniques to get my foot back. Some were ways to reattach my already severed foot or to construct a new one. They all had their goods and bads. Some needed more materials and some weren't as good as the rest. I had to choose the best one since it didn't want to lose my foot again.

After looking over the techniques to getting my foot back I just chose one that was good enough and didn't have materials that were too demanding. With this I could get a new foot but it would take a while to gather the necessary materials.

Since I was a foot short, I decided to make myself a false foot for now so that I could at least walk. That night I had gained some insights into blacksmithing.

In the morning I took the demon beast corpse to the market and sold them. I made around 30,000 demon spirit coins from selling the four demon beast corpse and organs I had. Being very young and looking weak I just lied that I was selling them on behalf of my master.

I made a trip to an armor and accessory shop and got myself an interspacial ring. This would be so handy. It was not cheap at all. It had a space of 2,000 square meters and it costed me almost all of my savings leaving me with only around 3,000 demon spirit coins. Being broken is hard.

I threw my foot inside and just continued on with my day. I ate out today to spoil myself. The food was way better than my own cooking. After enjoying the morning I went back to my hut and started training.

After my many life and death battles I had progressed very far into my martial arts. Now it was time to refine myself. As I started practicing, I could notice the difference in myself a few days ago and today. I had improved so much. My form, my punches and kicks. Everything was more fierce and powerful. It took me less energy to make my moves and I felt lighter but stronger. I continued refining my moves until I felt that I had reached my peak for now. I had to fight against stronger opponents if I wanted to improve.

I sat down after and thought, "Save Point 2" before cultivating. Chanting as usual I suddenly felt my soul shake. It was very frightening as it was unexpected. My whole body tensed up as every fiber and muscle in my body felt chills. My Soul Sea had been damaged. It cracked??

Immersing myself in my Soul Sea, it was obvious that it had been damaged. I was confused. I look at my library of knowledge and could only come to one conclusion. It meant that I was close to breaking through to 1 Star Silver. I was scared for a moment, I thought my soul was going to implode and I would die. Calming down I started to cultivate again.

Cultivating, more cracks started to appear all over my Soul Sea but I didn't stop. Every minute that I cultivated, the more cracks appeared. Around half an hour in, I felt my Soul Sea ready to burst. I continued and not too long after my Soul Sea shattered. The moment it shattered a new Soul Sea replaced it and started to expand. It was like my Soul Sea had shedded old skin and grew. It didn't stop expanding until it was over quadrupled in size. The color was also now a deeper blue compared to the previous light blue.

Inside my Soul Realm there was something. It was a small sapling. It slowly sucked my soul force but the amount was negligible. The sapling reminded Lu of Nie Li's vine. Maybe it had some miraculous perks as well. Only time would tell.

I have now reached Silver Rank. Estimating, I have only been cultivating for two weeks. I'll reach Legend Rank in no time.
