Chip intoned as blue data projected on his eyes. He looked at the current status and the most optimum way to progress to next stage. The current level of demon spirit talent is Excellent which has reached a 36% development into the next one. According to his estimation Nie Li should be able to take the Demon Spirit to next level if he were to exhaust all his current spirit stones. As for the God level growth rate, he doesn't have enough data to compare.
'I hope after exhausting them all I could get it to become God rate but it's not feasible because with every new level, the threshold changes and the necessary resources quality and quantity also changes. After A. I. Chip analysis Nie Li figured out that the Heavenly Anarchy Technique has a pattern which it follows during refining. The demon spirit first wrestle amongst themselves in a survival contest and the last surviving one absorb the others. After this a demon spirit of a superior grade emerges, which in turns fight his selected merged demon spirit which in this case is his second demon spirit 'Chaos Horned Scarlet Lion' and whoever won among them will reign supreme as his demon spirit, while the looser will be devoured and the remaining energy will be released into Nie Li body. Obviously the method has a success rate which depends on various factor but after so long Nie Li has raised it to a much better level and the energy he could get also increased as he was able to somehow waste less released soul force.
So far, the original beast that Nie Li merged with has shown various new traits, and this emerges everytime the level changes but till now he has observed nothing too major just a bit of small physical changes.
Nie Li eyes shone and, then took another ten demon spirit stones and began refining again.

The possibility of failure has decreased a lot after Nie Li was able to perfect the process but it wasn't completely diminished entirely either.

Midway Nie Li changed his strategy because the A. I. Chip was finally able to crack up a way to store better growth rate demon spirits not letting them be destroyed the moment they emerges. Although it required insane precision and practice, with the help of A. I. Chip, Nie Li used all of his spirit stones and refined a small amount of higher grade demon spirit. He was able to develop a total of ten Excellent level growth rate demon beasts. So, far 'Chaos Horned Scarlet Lion' has already shown great progress reaching the peak of Extraordinary grade just a bit away from the threshold but this small gap is humongous,and if Nie Li were to be lucky enough to be successful then he could get an amazing result.
'After this, even if the refining fail I would be able to breakthrough to Gold Rank so, I must focus success or failure I have to follow it through to the end.' Nie Li breath out and his face become stoic.
He then put ten Excellent level growth rate demon spirits inside, and began the refining process.
A bright light flashed. Nie Li could see a colourful light flashing inside the soul realm. Every type of demon spirit has a slightly different colour. Those colours eventually, gradually, mixed together.
Ten demon spirits were in a unique space inside his realm, constantly changing, slowly merging, a blinding light kept flashing. Waves after waves of soul spirit fluctuation came from the soul realm.
After feeling such majestic soul force, the pores all over Nie Li's body began to open up. His soul realm was absorbing the soul force coming from the refining. He felt his body getting comfortably warm.
Ten Excellent level demon spirits were constantly merging. Finally, they formed into a whole new demon spirit.

Looking at the demon spirit breaking out of the secluded area from his realm and fighting with the 'Chaos Horned Scarlet Lion' at bottom of the his soul realm, Nie Li felt endless excitement. He watched with anticipation and after a good 2-3 minutes of roaring and wild battle it finally subsided.

After examining the growth rate of the demon spirit, Nie Li fell into ecstasy. After spending so much and the timely new method developed by A. I. Chip, He was able to surpass his initial estimation. Although Nie Li is aware that a huge part of luck is also a reason for this, since he could have failed and it would have been for nothing. Nevertheless, Nie Li finally got a god level growth rate demon spirit!
This demon spirit is an 'Chaos Horned Scarlet Lion'. It's a Fighter-type, fluctuating with power. It has almost lost all the characteristics of an 'Chaos Horned Scarlet Lion'. The most remarkable difference is, it's whole body had changed from bright red to a mellow Orange-Yellow metallic luster emitting from it. On it's head, where it used to have a pair of terrifying sharp horns, has disappeared and it's body was covered with menacing black strips. The most remarkable difference was it's eyes which had an overbearing and unique yellow glow which which seems to penetrate through all the fabric of deception and had a unique black slit which seems to be spouting flames.
Is this still the same demon spirit.
Nie Li was shocked. This was the product of refining with different demon spirits, therefore, it's characteristic would be different from ordinary demon spirits, much stronger than any ordinary demon spirit.
The 'Chaos Horned Scarlet Lion' belongs to a rather strong demon spirit within the Fighter-types. After having so many changes done to it, Nie Li doesn't know what other special abilities it has.
Nie Li didn't have much time to think as the absorbed soul force rammed into his soul realm.
It was like a blazing sun emitting a bright radiance; thereafter, strands of soul force slowly rose up and gathered together, enveloping Nie Li.
As Nie Li began refining the huge amount of extra energy, the soul force in his soul realm constantly expanded. The merged demon spirit in his soul realm were also absorbing the soul force, growing stronger and stronger.
Nie Li could feel that a countless amount of soul force was constantly piercing his soul realm, causing the veins on his body to pop out. This kind of feeling of being continuously pierced by needles is very painful, causing him to grind his teeth in silent pain. However, Nie Li continued to endure this pain and continued to expand his soul realm, making his soul realm have a larger capacity.

'Now all of a sudden I feel weak. ' Nie Li thought with a weird look on his face. He shook his head, watching 10,000+ is a little too much every time he see his status so he took the realm a common denominator and used that as a base.

Nie Li cannot be blamed because unlike Shadow Devil, this is something he has developed by himself and there is a unique eagerness to look at his handiwork.

Nie Li called out for his Second Demon Spirit, his soul realm trembling. A demon spirit aura emitted out from his body.
Nie Li's aura kept soaring. Thankfully, he was in the basement with some inscription drawn to make sure his aura doesn't leak or else his hired guards would come rushing in. The aura of the 'Chaos Horned Scarlet Lion' is very strong, causing the room to shake by its power.
Waves and waves of powerful aura was emitting out of the body. His body was transforming. He had canine teeth and sharp claws. Bursts of roars was let out from it, the power it's emitting was terrifying.
Nie Li furiously roared as his body began to expand. He quickly merged with the demon spirit. His hairs grew up to reach his waist, his face become sharp and animalistic. His body size increased as a menacing aura erupted from his body, His muscle had expanded, his body was covered with orange fur, his limbs had thickened, and claws were coming out from his fingers.
Nie Li's body was filled with unimaginable power. He clenched his fist and felt the explosive strength, currently he felt as if he could even contend against Black Gold Rank Demon Spiritualist.
Nie Li spread his hands and called out a power wondering about his combat abilities.
A bright red flame appeared on the center of his palm, the flame danced around and Nie Li felt a connection with it.
'Fascinating but I feel like I could do better! ' Nie Li focused his attention, looking intently at the crimson ember, and the flame burn brighter and brighter, soon crackling sounds emerged as the flame turned terrifying blue in color but Nie Li didn't stop even after that. He keep pouring out his power and concentrated more and....

The fire transformed into a scorching pitch black glow and it emitted a devilish blazing heat, even the air was effected due to it as it seemed to avoid it. Even if Nie Li knew he could control it, he felt a dreadful stillness from the Pitch Black Flames.
"This! Let's call it — Venus Firestorm! "
Nie Li looked at it with amazement and intense fiery gaze. He was explode at the mere thought of mixing this into his attacks, especially the Black Mass. The degree of damage it could do would be outrageous.
Nie Li undid his focus and smiled, this beast is great. Not only is it's fighting ability off the roof, the special combat talent is also great.
'But there is something else too.' Nie Li slowly closed his eyes and tried to call out of his instincts, he felt another power inside him and he tried to concentrate to let it out.
Nie Li let out an angry snort, activating the energy of his body. 'boom!' A powerful aura was released around him, and he opened his eyes in a snap. Currently his eyes were not blue but a charming and demonic golden color with black slit in between.
Nie Li felt as of two huge indifferent and cold heavenly eyes has emerged and manifested behind him as he could feel each and everything very clearly, it was simply out of the world experience. Nie Li could see the most faintest of details, he could even count the flaps of a flies wings. The world began to flow in a slower motion for him and everything was just so clear.
"These eyes! " Nie Li was shocked, as soon as he reached this state he could feel information drilling in his mind as he understood this abilities. In this form, he could perceive thing much splendidly and he could even break out of any deception to gaze at the reality, he could even use them to confuse his opponents, it can cause Illusion and fear, forces trepidation and inner doubts of self.
These eyes are the mirror of truth and breaker of illusion, these are the — Eyes of Mahamaya.
Nie Li was shocked as he understood this. After some time, he reigned in his demon form and reverted back but as he was doing so, an idea hit him.
Nie Li controlled his merged Demon Spirit to slowly regain his normal features, his claws disappeared, his fact turned normal to an extent, his heights reduced.
Overall from the unmerged state he was only a bit taller, and his hairs were a bit longer and denser, and if he were to open his mouth one could see canine teeths.
What Nie Li decided to do was using his merged state at the most minimum and maintain a defense force field around his body. With just a small portion of his soul force, he maintained himself in an always battle ready and high defense stance. This mean no one could sneak up upto a degree and he would be always have a protection. In this state his awareness is also higher, he just have to tone it down to make it more subtle or it would cause a misunderstanding because people won't like to associate with someone who is always in a merged form.
Nevertheless, even if it's somehow not doable in the city it's a fantastic way to stay alerted in wilderness and such. At his level only Peak Black Gold rank could sneak up on him and only they could somehow understand the dynamic of his defense force field.
"This could be regarded as the third ability of this demon spirit, the 'defense force field'. Even though it's a bit artificial of an ability but this demon spirit is perfect for this. I don't think I could do the same with the shadow devil quite yet, maybe because I lack enough soul control or the second beast is more integrated with me. Anyhow, It has already stopped being 'Chaos Horned Scarlet Lion', it evolved into something much more grand and amazing. Let's call it the - Abyss Regal Lion." Nie Li smiled as he walked outside the basement and went to wash off the impurities sticking out of his body.

The Northern Martial Field is a field that's a few kilometers in circumference. Their are viewing stands, enough to accommodate tens of thousands of people, surrounding the martial field. There would often be lots of competitions being hosted in this area. This is due to the fact that Glory City's people have high interests in martial arts, therefore, there would be lots of people coming over. Many will also come over to participate in all kinds of bets.
At this moment, people of various families have already seated within the Northern Martial Field. Various families were very excited for this particular event, since this is a chance for their talents to shine.
The cheering on the field was getting louder and louder. Two individual were fighting off against each other, in the middle of the fighting arena. It was a typical fight with martial spirit blazing in both of the participants.

She was looking around and suddenly her gaze fell on a broad back of a person with long lustrous Orange hair, she looked at the person and thought, 'Nie Li'.
That pair of big clear eyes of hers when looking at Nie Li's back figure, were narrowed as she smiled. Nie Li felt her gaze and looked behind, Nie Li was a bit taller than before and also a lot more handsome. He had a mature charm around him which were only further amplified by his indifferent and cold eyes. Nie Li was also a bit sharper looking than before and had longer hair courtesy of maintaining the defense force field.
