8 A Quick Battle Before Fleeing

Stomping his right foot on the ground in order to draw up more power into his right leg. Joshua wooden pole then drew a 180° curve from his back and landed heavily on the head of the leaping Savage Hyena.

The force behind Joshua's attack was so strong that it didn't even give the Savage Hyena the chance to scream before it was hauled back over two metres.

At that very moment, Joshua's Metallic Python shot forward from his side like an arrow shot from the bow of an experienced hunter, she crossed the few metres gap between her and the beaten Savage Hyena in less than a second and immediately 'Entangled' it.

Still feeling a bit dizzy from Joshua's earlier attack, the Savage Hyena once again wasn't even given an opportunity to struggle before being squeezed to death by Joshua's Metallic Python.

Lossing a companion so soon at the beginning of the battle caused fear yo bloom in the heart of the remaining cowardly Beast who all instantly froze and starting laughing in fear "Hihihi... Hihihi... Hihi"

Unwilling to pass away such a heaven given opportunity. Joshua immediately threw himself at one of the two closest Savage Hyena while his Metallic Python, following in his footsteps, quickly unwrapped her body from that of the now death Savage Hyena and pounced at the other closest Savage Hyena.

Grabbing one end of his wooden pole with his both hands, Joshua executed a different form of attack this time around by swinging it horizontally from his right.

Unfortunately, his targeted Savage Hyena hastily evaded this attack by leaping back.

And without any hesitation, Joshua responded by quickly pulling back his wooden pole before launching himself forward and ramming the head of his 2 metres long weapon on the chest of the Savage Hyena, causing it to shriek in pain while taking a few steps back.

Immediately taking another step forward using his left leg the very moment he landed on the ground at he end of his launch, Joshua shifted his hands back to he middle section of his wooden pole and then performed another 180° spin with his body this time around while also executing another horizontal swing of his wooden pole.

Bam!

The wooden pole landed on the jaw if the Savage Hyena which wasn't fast enough to keep up with Joshua's flow of attacks. While Joshua on the other hand immediately followed through with additional flurry of attacks with his grip now back at the end of his wooden pole.

Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam!

wielding his weapon like a cane, Joshua kept in landing series of blows all over the body of the Savage Hyena and just a few seconds laters, it fell to the ground death due to being unable to endure such beatings any longer.

Just a couple of metres away from there, Joshua's Metallic Python could also be seen loosening its body which scales were now covered in multiple scratches from that of another dead Savage Hyena.

Wuwuwuwuwuwu.....!!! Tap! Tap! Tap!

Before Joshua could even release a breath of relief, sounds of whimpering and footsteps running away was suddenly heard by him reminding him about the present of two remaining Savage Hyena only to spot their fleeing figure getting farther and farther away.

"It seems although their Sub-Species evolution had made them become more fiercer than other Hyenas, it still couldn't change the fact that their Species were inheritedly cowards by Genes" thought Joshua inwardly as he sat on the ground and slowly took in and out deep breaths in order to calm down his still furiously beating heart.

Although the seems to have lasted a while, in reality, all this started and end in less than 15 seconds.

Joshua didn't spend a long time regulating himself as he soon stood up just a few minutes later and approached the carcass of the Mountain Bear while complaining bitterly "Damn it, i just can't wait to reach Rank Five to start tempering my body which is currently a mess since it's previous owner treated it as trash".

"Anyway, back to the matter at hand. I'll just process what I can and leave this place as fast as possible because with the stench of blood in this place being so strong, it can easily attract more Common Grade Beasts" Joshua then added with a serious tone as he bented down beside the Mountain Bear carcass and pulled out a small dagger from his backpack.

Using it to carve a small hole in the Mountain Bear abdomen, Joshua easily haversted a ping-pong sized Beast core before moving on to that of the Raging Boar.

Nevertheless, Joshua was forced to spend quite a bit of effort this time around in order to carve out the two 1 metre long tusk of the Raging Boar since it was worth quite a sum of money.

"Although It's quite a shame to abandon the meat of two Rank Four Common Grade Beast which was highly nutritious to both Beast Apprentice and other Common Grade Beast. It's a price am willing to pay in order to remain Alive"

Dropping such a statement, Joshua instantly bolted into the bushes and started fleeing in Tree Village direction.

Five minutes later, sounds of Furious growls, roars, howls and so on filled the formal battle ground of the two Common Grade Beast and later Joshua and the Hyenas that was now covered in blood but Joshua was nowhere to be seen and neither was his Tamed Beast.

Some group of Common Grade Beast attempted chasing after his small figure but were soon left in the dust by his footsteps leaving them with no other option than to return back to the battlefield as the meat of two Rank Four Common Grade Beast and 3 Rank One Common Grade Beast seemed more appetising than a single Joshua.

Ha, ha, ha, ha...!!!

Joshua kept breathing haggardly as he continued pushing his body which was now growing tired from all this running at his highest speed for the past five minutes without stopping to rest and when added with the two One metre long tusk he had retrieved from the carcass of the Raging Boar which weight around 5kg each.

The very fact that he was still conscious alone was a miracle in it's own right, so much more, being able to keep in running.

Joshua managed to persevere for an additional 5 minutes before finally stopping to take a break for 5 minutes more minutes and then slowly walked back to the village.

"Finally. I've successfully returned back safely" thought Joshua inwardly the very instant the 5 metres tall and 4 metres wide iron gate of Tree Village came within his sight and without any hesitation, he quickly showed the military soldiers his student I.D card before hurrying inside.

Meanwhile, upon noticing Joshua's return, the captain quickly took out his phone and dailed the same unknown number he had called earlier "Sir, please help me inform the young miss that the young man is has returned back to the village safely on his own"

"Is he injured in anyway?" the voice over the phone asked with a hushed tone.

"No, not unless he is capable of hiding his injuries from the eyes of a Rank Eight Beast Apprentice" the captain immediately replied back.

"That's good captain, you have done well but also do well to remember that your lips should always remain sealed about all of these" the voice over the phone commended at first before warning the captain and finally ending the call.

Swallowing his spit, the captain immediately felt a chill on his spine and instantly vowed to take these matter to his grave.
