Final Evaluation

"Now then...it's time I paid attention to my system, but I'll do so after I rest." Rai said as he slumped into his couch.

He was too tired to do anything, not to mention he had to recover from all the injuries he received from the exams. He could have easily received treatment back then, but he chose to let it heal naturally.

"Status." He said.

"It has been a while since I last checked on my status ever since I levelled up, oh wait...Shit!" He exclaimed, he recalled refusing to complete the quest given to him and sooner or later the system was bound to give him a penalty quest.

A blue holographic board materialized in front of him after he had said the command word to summon it.

"Stat points? Oh I see, those additional points I can use to level up my stats. Let's see...." He uttered as he began contemplating on which stats to allocate points to.

"Endurance, strength, agility, intellect and stamina. They are all necessary stats in my field as an assassin, but given the amount of stats points I've accumulated from the recent exams. I have to decide the best possible stats to allocate it to." He said in his thoughts.

"Let's see...strength will be necessary for strong opponents, I can't utilize essence that much so I'll need a physical factor to assure my victory." He said softly allocating a point to the strength stats.

"Next should be the stamina stat, with this I can make up for the endurance stats." He said allocating another point to the stamina stats.

"The last two will be intellect and agility, both factors are necessary in combat and analysis breakdown. That settles it!" He proclaimed.

"Huh?" He paused, his eyes caught a glimpse of something that was inscribed in the holographic board. Something that wasn't there from the start.

"What's that?" He asked, referring to the question mark slot on the holographic board.

"Oh well..." He said as the holographic board dissipated and vanished into thin air. "I guess that's a mystery for another day, right now I need some rest."

He retired into his bedroom, mentally and physically drained from everything he had been through. Not to mention he hadn't even gotten the chance to have a proper sleep since transmigrating.

[Several hours later]

The night went by swiftly and in the blink of an eye, the ever illuminating daylight shone upon the surface of the earth.

"Oh man.." Rai yawned, he stretched his hands as he felt like he was born again. It had been long since he slept like this so it was somewhat refreshing.

He stood up from his bed and attended to his hygiene. He instigated his regular exercises from his previous life which included 200 sit ups, push ups and jumping jacks.

He proceeded to take his bath after those exercises,he also brushed his teeth and had his breakfast preparing for the journey that he was to go on for the day.

A slight knock on his door resonated throughout the apartment. "Who is that? At this hour?" Rai said with slices of bread stuffed in his mouth. It was currently 7:30am in the morning so he found it odd that he had a visitor.

It couldn't have been Selena because she was out cold, and he didn't have any friends yet as he just got transmigrated. He approached the door after tidying himself up from breakfast. "Who is it?" He questioned as he opened the door.

"Huh? Who the hell are you?" He asked as his eyes met with a man dressed in a uniform consisting of a hat, jacket, and trousers in a navy blue color. He carried a large leather bag filled with letters and packages.

"Judging by his appearance, he seems to be a postman of some sorts." Rai said in his thoughts as he examined the young man.

"Good day to you sir, I have a letter for Mr. Rai Voltia." The postman spoke, not wasting any time going straight to the point.

"That would be me." He replied.

The postman reached into his leather bag and drew out a carefully enveloped letter with the initials "Rai Voltia" written on it. He handed the letter over to Rai and bowed his head in respect. "Good day to you sir." He bid Rai farewell as he took his leave.

"This world is filled with odd fellows." He remarked as he closed the door behind him.

He sat down at his couch and carefully opened the envelope, he drew out the letter and unwrapped it before reading it's contents.

"Final Evaluation." Those were the headlines of the letter.

"What!?" Rai exclaimed, Ford informed him that the final evaluation would take at least a day or two before it would reach him, however a full day hadn't even reached yet and he already got it.

Out of curiosity, Rai read the letter.

"Entry 507, you have been successfully evaluated and we are pleased to inform you that you have successfully passed the Essenmage exams with a score of 80/100."

Rai chuckled after reading the first sentence of the letter.

"As a fully verified Essenmage, your access to the Essenguilds placed in the range of your scores has been made available. However to join an Essenguild you have to be chosen by one. The Essenguild under your range of score includes;

• Crimson Fireheart Guild

• Arcane Order Guild

• Super Nova Guild

• Shadow Veil Guild."

"Holy shit! Judging by my score in my exams, these guilds has to be among the top ranking guilds in the kingdom! I wonder if any one picked me..." He exclaimed as he proceeded to read the last sentence.

"However, after careful evaluation by all the guild masters of the guilds aforementioned. None made the decision to enlist you into their guild."

Rai sighed.

"Of course, I should have known. If they are indeed one of the high ranking guilds, that means they all belong to the noble class of the kingdom. Damn it all.."

Rai driven by annoyance was about squeezing the paper and throwing it away till his eyes caught a particular sentence.

"After a brief evaluation period, you have been chosen successfully by the Raging Phoenix guild!"

"What? The Raging Phoenix guild? They aren't part of the guild listed in my score range, so who are they?" Rai pondered upon this as he reached the end of the letter.
