62 Omake 10: FGO #9

"So, to make this clear for us all… you actually had no issues with your brother? You know, the legitimate heir to your 'dad'?"

The older Mordred scoffed at the two other versions that were currently pressuring these kinds of questions on her. Now she could see why her father found this whole situation of being in Chaldea so awkward and complicated. While she could do with a few queries about her unique details, the way her 'Summer' and 'Treacherous Knight' versions were pushing to find common ground with their own origin stories just made her incredibly furious.

Like, Mordred was never one that liked getting interviewed by journalists at home and the few times she consented to these was when she just wanted to give the minimum and be spared by the paparazzi. But what really made her so annoyed about this line of questioning wasn't even the number of questions she was being subjected to- rather she was growing more frustrated by the way these two were assuming she had any bad bone against her family. As if! Family was still the thing she would never think to betray. Prank yes, betrayal? Never.

"Why the hell would that even matter to me?" She ultimately asked back. "Gabriel got Britannia's administration, but I got another kingdom myself. I don't see why I have any reason to be 'jealous'?"

They looked ready to say something about 'her getting nothing', but when the new info of their curvier self had gotten herself a fief, the two shared a questioning and curious look.

"A kingdom? You got a Kingdom?"

"Like a real Kingdom? Not some small county or something?"

"I mean, if you want to call New Britannia a county I think a Kingdom-sized country at that point would be Earth itself."

"...You mean-"

"New Britannia is… America?"

"Where the United States and Mexico in this timeline exist, yes," Joseph's second oldest daughter admitted proudly. "Yet, I would say that it wasn't easy at first. You know, we came also carrying dormant illnesses from past centuries and it took decades to properly secure all natives against medical issues. And that's also ignoring how many ensuing decades it also took to establish a tolerant society which cemented the friendship between natives and colonials. It was tough, but I guess the end result was a rich kingdom like mine- heh~!"

"That's so cool," Summer Mordred admitted with sparkling eyes. "So, if I so happened to want to swim in California-"

"I'm sure you will enjoy the beaches of Nova Abrincatum."

The news was grand. So one of them did manage to score big time but… what about the other siblings? In fact, while the two Mordreds had been sharing the same mindset when it came to questioning their more successful third self, there was something the 'original' one had yet to fully digest. What about the other kids born from Joseph and his other wives?

"But did your father give other kingdoms to the other children? Wouldn't it be troublesome to just create new kingdoms for each child?"

The bigger Mordred actually smiled at that. "You know, that's a question I rarely hear since not many care about this in modern times but- Dad did not give us all fiefs to rule. Not because he couldn't, but rather because some of us didn't want to rule on land as Kings and Queens," The taller blonde answered earnestly, gaining her younger selves' attention. "Let me think… Lyanna was never interested in being a queen. She always remained daddy's little princess at heart and just grew attached to his administration skills. She studied, she even got a few degrees secured when universities were founded in the entire kingdom and she tended to pass by work as advisor and help when it was needed either at home or around our kingdoms."

The young woman paused, leaning back on her chair as she thought about her other siblings.

"Gabriel got Britannia to a degree, then there is Doirin but she took it upon herself to be a 'fighter scholar' and copy her mother's lifestyle to an extent. She visits mostly during the holidays but she is quite busy with either stuffing her nose on old books and practicing new arts," Mordred continued to list out. "Then there is Caelus, and while he loves old Rome as his mother does, he lacks any ambition to actually push for anything crazy. He likes to act in Greek and Latin plays when the spots are open and he is more of a tragicomic writer and actor when he feels it."

"What about the others?"

She huffed. "I swear, I never once thought I would have been annoyed with my own impatience."

That response irked the two, but they said nothing as she went on with her narration.

"Then there is Gormant that is the heir to the throne of the Principality of Camelot and he is a 'teddy bear' for how he behaves around family and friends. I swear, no one can hate that big guy… Oh, and then there is Amhar. He is a little pest, always asking for a spar and… he is so childish. And cute! I want to head pat that bastard forever and yet he pesters me with duels!"

The two fellow blondes cracked grins at that last bit, finding their older self's irritation amusing in that instance.

"Finally there are Bevan and Tonia. And… I think they caused a lot of questions about their paternity since they copied a lot of the antics committed by dad and auntie Ria back when the world was 'younger' as they used to say when they talk about the past. I heard they went on some adventures at times but… bah, it's so complicated."

"Sounds like there are tales about their adventures."

"Aye!" Older Mordred confirmed with a wild grin. "However some tales are shrouded in confusion and mystery at times."

And thus she decided to provide the other selves of hers with more stories about her parents and… the various uncles and aunties she had along her life. She could tell the girls were starving to wonder about that sort of familial dream- to have a big loving family and… she just wanted to head pat their fluffy heads.

She blamed her father for making her so keen to entertain this sort of interaction but… Mordred knew she liked doing it regardless of her frustration.

They were just so adorable~! And that's ignoring the curious fluffy version of her that looked like some sort of fluffy pet.
