Imoogi has awakened

Dazzling sunlight fell on Hjejin face which woke her up, she was at her building's roof for the whole night. She opened her eyes in frustration and reached her hand for her phone but couldn't find it, then last nights faded memories became clear to her. Last night she left her phone on her the table with apartment keys and car keys and came here to drink and fell asleep.

She groaned and clean the trash from last night and went downstairs, her head was hurting but she ignored it.

She looked at her watch and cursed out loud, she was late for her job. She quickly got ready and left her apartment.

The time she reached for the police station, she was 45 minutes late.

"Late by an hour Ms. Jung, what are you trying do break your own records on coming here late." Hjejin's senior continued. "The missing cases are piling up and you have the audacity to come late?"

Hjejin looked right into his eyes but didn't reply.

"Ohoo, look at you not even saying sorry and what's that look on your face?"

Hjejin bowed a little, apologized and walked away. Her senior just scoffed at her. It was not like she didn't respected him it was just this senior of her just kept nagging the Junior instead of doing his job and Hjejin wasn't dealing with it today with a headache.

Her teammates were already working going through files and video just like every other day to find the clues for the missing cases but as usual nothing was working.

"Did we find something?" Hjejin asked randomly.

"We would if you had come on time." Her senior again taunted her.

Hjejin just rolled her eyes at him in response.

"No, we haven't, it's just like they vanish out of thin air." Jong-Suk replied in frustration.

"The vanishing effect" Haneul said dreamily. Everyone looked at her in confusion. "It's been in 'Unveiling The Urban Legend."

Hjejin thought to herself how naive Haneul was to fall for a show but didn't say anything.

"Now we gonna believe in myths and shows?" The senior sighed in disbelief and continued. "Haneul, you're here to be an officer even if you can't atleast pretend you're one when you are here."

Haneul head fall down in embarrassment, she wanted say something but couldn't.

"I think it's good think that someone is trying hard to figure out the cases because many people here who call them themself "officer" are just here to do nothing and nag others" Hjejin roared directly looking at her senior.

Haneul and Jong-Suk hold in their giggles as for that senior he got angry and walked away without saying a word, when he went away the three of them started laughing.

Haneul nooded at her direction to thank her and googled something "See, it's their believe me this is what it is." She showed the picture of the show explaining the vanishing effect.

"We have to give proof to the authorities, we can't give them this." Jong-Suk said firmly.

"We have a file to complaint!" A lady shouted as she entered the station with a boy. Haneul went their to file the complaint.

Hjejin walked towards the display board and looked at the missing people's profiles and suddenly it clicked. "What was there occupation?" Hjejin asked and

Jong-Suk looked puzzled, the question's answer was already written on the board, they were all housewives, they didn't had any official job.

"No they must have some jobs or they couldn't afford a living. Look this woman here is a widow, this here is single mother. All of them are in need of money and obviously there education level didn't allow them to work so they did unofficial works like part-timing or baby-sitting. Jong-Suk get the keys we're going to Mrs Kim Taeul's house." Hjejin ordered.

Lee Rang sat on the sofa as he smiled to himself thinking what happened in the island, his brother again again tried to save that human, even he saved that human but still the imoogi has been awakened and he was having his human doses time to time.

"Mr Lee, I'm going to meet that Shinjo again." As long Yoori's words left her mouth she regretted them. Rang gave Yoori a questionable look.

"Mr Lee, I have to get the locket back. That's why I'm going to meet him." She asserted as quickly as possible and Lee Rang went back to his thoughts.

Yoori wasn't completely lying she needed to stole that locket back, also wanted to see that dog she and Rang saved and she also wanted meet Shinjo though she hated his pitying eyes on her but he was the first one who ever empathized with her.

Hjejin and Jong-Suk reached Mrs Kim's neighborhood with a long drive and many flirtatious attempts by Jong-Suk which didn't made a single improvement just like the missing cases.

Hjejin called Mrs. Kim daughter after a while there daughter Jisoo came running towards them worst of all she didn't came alone she came with hopes in her eyes.

"Did you find my mother?" Jisoo huffed.

Both Hjejin and Jong-Suk looked at each other and explained why they were there. As long as it helped them to find her mother Jisoo agreed to help them.

They interrogated her and took their leave with the promise they would find her mother soo . They went to different victim's home to interrogate to ask only one question 'Did the victim worked any unofficial job' and the answer was yes 'they all did baby-sitting'. Hjejin didn't know this one question would change her destiny forever and take her away from human world to the world of unknown.

On the other hand, Haneul was living her worst nightmare, the lady who came to file the complaint kept on shouting at her for no reason all Haneul could pray for was to Jong-Suk and Hjejin to come back.
