56 Elements

Vicente's Magic Gem was undeniably strange. However, in a world where almost everything existed, none of the onlookers of this Awakening considered his future as promising as that of any young individual who had Green gems.

As he left, Vicente was just watched from afar by the representatives of the royal family who were heading towards the young people with Green-grade talents that had manifested on that day.

Young people with Green talent didn't appear at every Awakening. However, they would emerge from time to time throughout the year. Today had been a lucky day for these observers, and they soon secured another potential member of their forces.

Amidst the celebratory atmosphere among the youths in the temple, especially the one selected by the army, Vice departed the temple and joined his group outside the building.

"Congratulations on Awakening your magical powers, Vice!" Rory said, smiling but harboring a considerable curiosity about his friend's magical form.

The others also offered their congratulations to Vicente on his Awakening but refrained from asking anything specific about his accomplishments.

Each person's magical form was very particular, and not everyone was comfortable openly talking about it!

However, Vicente did not share the same reservations. He was more than willing to talk with his companions about one of his magical forms, particularly the one in the shape of a pentagram, which he knew was associated with his Red Magic Pentagram.

"Let's head to the carriage. I'll talk about my powers on the way home," he suggested, eager to dedicate the upcoming days to exploring and comprehending his newfound abilities.

While he had a vague sense of what they were related to, he would only gain complete mastery and understanding of them through adaptation and practice over time.

As for the magical form associated with the symbol of '69', he decided not to talk about it with anyone.

It wasn't that Vicente was suspicious of his companions, but his background as an Earth criminal had taught him the importance of deceiving enemies, for which one had first to deceive their allies!

Getting into his carriage with Rory, he shared his thoughts, "My magical form seemed to be associated with two elements, Lightning and Earth... Hmm, I would say my powers are associated with Magnetism."

There were few elements that existed in Polaris Realm in nature or even in living beings. Nevertheless, intelligent magical organisms could be innately capable of manipulating more than one element. Thereby, they could fuse their elements, creating something new.

In Vicente's case, he had an affinity for the elements of Lightning and Earth, so he could use these two elements and the fusion of the two, something he believed could help him generate something related to Magnetism.

However, this was something special for Vicente. Another person with the same Lightning and Earth elements could manifest different secondary forms of elemental abilities.

This, to a certain degree, depended on the Magic Pentagrams a person would encounter on their journey and also on the elemental composition of the said individual's soul.

Vicente, for instance, had a stronger affinity with Lightning than with Earth, and the way these two elements coexisted in his being indicated that the fusion of the two should lead him to Magnetism.

Upon hearing his friend's explanation, Rory was genuinely happy because most people were born with only one elemental affinity. To be born with two was a significant advantage!

In Rory's case, he too was born having an affinity with two elements, but unlike his friend, Rory had an affinity for the elements of Air and Fire, which led to him having a unique power, Explosion.

Vicente appreciated Rory's congratulations and smiled at his friend, but inwardly, he couldn't stop checking for his other affinities.

He strangely could not understand what his second magical form was related to!

All Vicente could deduce after he tried to analyze it was a profound darkness, something that sent shivers down his spine.

He didn't understand where the thought of not using it until the 5th Magical Pentagram had come from. Still, he felt that until then, he should be cautious and not use this power prematurely. There was also a lingering feeling that after doing so, he would undoubtedly face several problems.

He couldn't completely grasp what this was related to, but judging by the Yellow Pentagram related to his second magic form, Vicente deduced that his body couldn't even withstand the activation of this power!

'I probably have the potential to become a Mage without much difficulty with my talents and magic forms.... I'll try to avoid using this until I can absorb a Pentagram of the same level as this one. After that, my body should be better prepared for that power,' Vicente contemplated as he smiled at Rory.

"Anyway, what do we do now, man? I know you must spend some time getting accustomed to your powers, but what do we do next?" Rory inquired, breaking Vicente's train of thought.

Vicente set his thoughts aside and responded, "I'll focus on training my new abilities for the next four days. After that, we will return to Martell Village to pick up Nina and Eve.

We will then continue with our plans once we return with them and some of our comrades."

Rory nodded in agreement with Vice's decision, feeling that this approach would be better.

It would be better for them to travel to get their companions now while they hadn't started getting entangled in local affairs. Once they started, they would be too busy to be of any use to go out on trips and settle non-essential matters.

Vicente then instructed Rory, "It would be better if you would use the next few days to register Nina at one of the local academies. I want everything to be ready so we can focus on our business when we return with her."

"Sure, leave that to me," Rory accepted the task.

"In the meantime, I want the three of you to visit a few stores during these days," Vice stated, directing his attention towards the front of the carriage, where his men were standing outside the cabin. "We'll update our plans after Nina and Eve settle in locally.

But I want you guys to get a head start during the days of my seclusion and establish contact with these stores. I intend to approach these merchants soon."

Based on what Vicente and his group had discovered in the past few days, they were sure that Millfall had a severe crime problem.

Numerous stores and local commerce refrained from operating during the night due to the prevailing local dangers. Not only did the owners of many businesses not have the ability to pay for security in their shops, but the common part of the population was too weak or unable to use magic and did not dare to venture out on the streets after a certain hour.

They discovered this by combining their observation time in this city with the information provided by Aaron.

Vicente wanted to act precisely on this local weakness and exploit them!

"OK, boss!" His men replied just before the carriage pulled into the driveway of the house where Nina and Eve would be residing very soon.

Upon arriving there, Rory and part of the group of guards departed, leaving only one to keep watch on the area while Vicente began his training.

He went directly to the basement of his house, which contained a training room, a standard feature that every residence like this one would have.

As he locked himself in that training area, Vicente closed his eyes for a moment, feeling the surging mana in his body propelling him to extravasate some of his powers.

He then glanced at a humanoid target that was present within the room and rushed towards its direction.

Sparks materialized around his body, particularly around his fist, which was already aimed and moving toward the head of the dummy in front of him.

Pow!
