20 TWENTY...

Flying above the city, in the skies, Gates discussed the plans he had for the battle between the Knights to Yusuf. As four knights had reached the entrance to the Gates Manor.

"Who are you all here for?" A high ranked Knight asked as he stood tall at the Gates of the Family.

"We have come to see the Youngest master, He arrived at the Knights Association not long ago to put up this announcement, 5 slots and only 1 will be able to serve him." A mid ranked Knight stepped forward to talk to the guard whose path of cultivation was much more higher than theirs.

"The youngest master?" The guard said, his voice held a tinge of confusion in them if you listened intently.

Giving them a message to wait as be relays their arrival to the Family head, they said nothing and did as they were told...A high ranked Knight served as just the Gate keeper of the Family, who are they to speak further when relayed with the message that their arrival will as well be relayed to the Family head, The Boogeyman.

Tales of his feat and what he had done scared even the hearts of those who lived to tell the tale, so what about those who heard such tales and even knew of his cruelty if he decided to be.

The city stood atop many dead souls that had tried to covet many things that they were not supposed to and the city stood atop many dead souls that dared to show even an inch of their ill intentions to the Family that ruled it...

As they waited, the Guard had reached the Family Heads office, knocking and waiting for an answer...

"Come." The voice was heard, without much fervour to it.

Walking into the study, the family head had a posture, one that indicated that he was deep in thought, unlike the last time with the books, spell scrolls, ink and seals flowing around the office was dull, heavy with tension and held a pressure that hinted at those entering not to speak the wrong words or disturb him for a stupid reason.

"Greetings, Family head. Outside the Gates are four knights that claim that the youngest master visited their association and posted an announcement, saying that he is in search of a guardian Knight, five slots available and one will be the chosen one." The Guard said, his head down through out so as not to cross eyes with the Lion King... A predator I'm and of his own right.

However, for some reason, the heaviness and tension in the room seemed to drop,

"Oh? Let them in...Take them stay at the training grounds." Theodore said, his countenance seemingly much more easier to please than before.

The guard nodding his head stood and walked away, closing the door behind him...Leaving Theodore to his thoughts,

"That child, what goes on through his head..."

...

Arriving at the his family Manor, Gates with Yusuf right behind him as the guard from before saw them and opened the Gates, informing them about be arrival of four other knights that have been waiting for at least thirty minutes.

Acknowledging the guards efforts, he strided towards the training grounds with Yusuf not far behind...They had actually arrived near the Manor but couldn't be caught flying for one, Yusuf had to surprise the other Knights as to why he was already escorting the youngest master around and for the second reason, Gates was Co sidereal as a beginner mage, beginner mages cannot learn the flight skill...it is a skill for mid ranked mages.

Yusuf never pried into why this child could accomplish such a feat because when he had met him, he was mana less, and knew no spell nor had no spell...using his knowledge and information to save his life. So the only way for him to have learnt the flight spell was if he knew the spells casting methodology prior to awakening or he learnt it from the time Yusuf casted it.

Both are pretty impressive but the most impressive was the fact that he could even fly, regardless of whether he learnt the spells casting before hand. The sheer ability to fly showed just how strong he was in terms of mana to be able to fly...

Yusuf however, attributed that to Gates family bloodline, since he was from a house of Mages.

Seeing the four knights he would be competing with, he knew he couldn't fail this or it was all over for him...

Looking at all the Knights now gathered in front if him, Gates clapped his hands as he smiled...nows the time.

"Welcome Gentlemen, as you know already, I am looking for a Guardian Knight...the pay as written is a thousand gold per month. The contract has already been drafted-" Gates said as he paused bringing out a magic contract with its conditions already written to how he and Yusuf wanted, and if Yusuf was fine with it, the rest would be too.

"However since I only need one, I'm going to have the rest of you fight each other....in a battle royale for who would remain standing." Gates said, a wicked smile formed on his lips as his mind thought through alot of scenarios.

This royale was Gates major facade to incorporate Yusuf into his family and as a subordinate, the battle royale was meant to dissuade a very deep investigation into the Knight of his choosing background, with Yusuf being his major choice, he did not want his father or whoever discovering Yusuf's other identity.

With his sister coming with him as well, it appeals to a much deeper feeling inside...especially considering Yusufs background, it's a miracle if anyone can actually bring proof that he was Ghost.

"But, Youngest master...are we fighting to win or fighting to kill." A voice called out from the five gathered knights...

Gates looked at he one who asked this, a middle aged man who seemed to be almost on the level on getting into a high ranked Knight asked.

"Hahah oh? I don't really care honestly, the bloodier the better...I need a killer not a Saint."
