14 FOURTEEN...

Realising that the youngest master was not going to stop his rampage, Midas did not do as he was told...He had one job, to protect the young miss. As long as the Young Miss was fine and settled, taking instructions from the other young master's would not be bad.

However his Young Miss was in danger from the Youngest master which was the strangest part, the injuries and broken bones she sustained were meant to be taken to a doctor immediately if she needed it healed without further complications..

Except that he was being blocked by the one who gave her the injuries, would the family head understand if he pushed his way through? As a Knight under the family, he could not attack any of them unless given explicit orders from the head.

Caught between a rock and a hard place in his thoughts, Gates appeared beside him, his agility was high, very high as he threw a punch to the right side of this Knight, although he felt the surface of something other than steel, Gates straightened himself and looked at his fist...

It was ripped, he looked back at the Knight who had used his long sword to block most of the attack, avoiding major damage but still thrown some distance and slammed into the wall.

That's when he understood how the young miss had lost and even sustained such injuries...

"Hm, okay take her." Gates said as he flicked his hands in the air, spraying the blood from his knuckles onto the ground.

Touching the whip slash on his face, he walked away leaving the room and entering his just opposite, the maids in the hallway cowered away as he came out of the young miss room.

Midas stared dumbfounded at the retreat of this child, his anger was surely overwhelming so how did he quell it so quickly? Turning to look at the cracks in his sword, he shook his head as he threw away useless thoughts from his mind, leaving the room with the young miss in his hands to seek immediate medical assistance or his head would roll.

Meanwhile inside his room, Gates laid on his bed as he took out the flower, two petals left and its stem...

Putting it back in place, he closed his eyes checking once more that his door was indeed locked, now he was sure than everyone in the house would be cautious towards him... He would have been quiet if the room had not been a mess, but with the attitude of his sister, he was assured of one thing.

"Everyone in this family are assholes." He said, his eyes closed.

In the book, the beatings that his current character, Amon had received were beyond normal, the abuse both mentally and verbally were enough to send anyone to an early grave...of course not by the deeds of others.

So for him to not have done the deed himself but still fall into the hands of someone in his own family to kill him, he was sure that they deserved no love nor mercy from him.

Since it was the strongest decide what the result and history is while the weak can only weep or perish, he would not allow himself be abused by anyone.

However, Gates still knew no spell except the flight spell, so he had to find a way to learn these skills before the competition in a month.

As he thought about his next course of action, Midas had dropped the young miss at the infirmary to be taken care of as he and the head maid went to give a report to the head of the family, Theodore Gates.

Upon reaching his study, they waited outside, The family head was a high ranked mage which meant that he could produce spells of level 7 to 9. These spells were capable of clearing out half the city alone and if in a battle with another mage capable of these spells, The Black Turtle City would be no more.

In the entire city, the Gates family were the only family with a high ranked mage, all the rest had mid-rank and below. This was because the conditions to ascend between the different ranks were exponentially hard each time to cross a rank.

"Come in..." A voice came from the shut door as they entered, all around them from books to scrolls, quills and ink to the Seals of the family, they floated and moved to different places all on their own...

Seated on his seat with a tired but stern look on his face was the family head, looking through some documents as the two entered and bowed to him,

"What is it?" He asked not looking up from the documents in his hands,

"Sir, the young miss sustained some injuries, a broken wrist and shattered ankles, a swollen face and injuries to her spine...she's at the infirmary right now," Midas said as he looked to the ground, a surge of intent to kill could be felt in the air as he spoke, ending his report.

"...Who dared to do that to my daughter?" He spoke calmly as he continued to survey he documents in his hands, the Familiy heads' every word however felt as though they were said pressuring down on his body.

"The youngest master." Midas replied as he continued to look down to his feet, he failed in protecting the young miss but however he thinks about it, he could not understand how the youngest master was able to get such strength and he did not cast even a single spell nor enhancement.

Stopping in his actions of reviewing the document before his eyes, he looked at Midas, he was unsure if he heard that correct.

"What did you say?"

"The youngest master was the one whom did that to the young miss...I myself was shocked when I arrived to the scene, half expecting the one whom would be lying crippled in miss room to be the young master...however that was not the case." Midas said as he looked up to match the gaze of the family head, explaining what had happened.
