6 Chapter Six

Her father grinned at her menacingly. This awful human being who had aided in her very existence was the one to hold her captive.

"Release me, you murderer!" she yelled at the top of her lungs, pulling forcefully yet again at her restraints. His demented laughter met her ears as he watched her struggle. The knife he drew still in hand, only inches from her body.

"Calm down, Daughter. I'm not going to hurt you. This knife is merely for self-defense", he stated sweetly smiling at her.

"Self defense? From me?"

"Why...yes and no. It is both my current self-defense measure from you and your self-defense measure from what you're about to face" he replied with his Joker-like grin still intact. He rose from his squatted position and placed the knife on a nearby table.

"What do you mean your self-defense measure and mine?"
