Chapter 4:History

Livius and the family of Taiyo's soon reaches his house.Livius immediately went inside his house.He is looking for his father inside their house.....

"Father,where are you?"I keep looking and calling my father,but i can't find him.

The Man saw how worry I was."Young boy,it looks like your father is not here yet."He patted my head to comfort me.While he's doing that,the front door suddenly opened.

We carefully went to see who opened the door.What we saw was a tired man.It was my father.He was so tired that he can't walk properly.

"Sorry Livius,did I make you wait?"

I shook my head and answered."No father,I know you'll come."I helped my father walks and he lies down on one of the room near the front door.

While father is resting,The family that he helps introduced themselves."My name is Adler,this is my wife Rebecca and my daughter Petra.We are grateful to your father for saving us."They bow themselves to me as a respect.

I was embarrass when the family bow down to me."I-it's okay,don't bown down to me."I turned around to hide my redden face.

I also introduced myself."My name is Livius,I'm 10 years old.My father's name is Julius."From what I think Adler's daughter Petra,was the same age on me.I smiled on her but she hides on his mother's back.

Rebecca hugged his husband."What do we do now?I'm sure the others already found it out.Where do we stay now?We can't go back to our village anymore."Rebecca cried as he said that.Adler also hugged her."I'm sure we'll manage."

Seeing them like I can't help but pity on them.That's when I realize something.

"If you want,you can stay here for a while."I smiles on them as I offered them to stay.

"Is it really okay?Aren't we bothering you so much?"Adler almost cry when I offered them to stay for a while."Your father already saved us,we were bothering you so much.

I waved my head."It's okay,I know father will also say the same thing.You can stay here as much as you want."I smiled on them.

Adler ask me a question with a curious face.

"Livius right?Your way of speaking is kind of weird.Why is that?"

I got confused when he ask that."It was normal for me.Ever since I started talking as a child it was always like this."

Adler was really confused with the way I talk.But he let it pass...

Many days has passed since Adler's family stay on our house.It was a very bright days for me.It was my first time to meet other people.I lived in this Mountain as far as I can remember.Father also taught me that there are 2 kinds of human.A dark one and a bright one.So far,I know Adler and his family is on the bright one.They are very kind hearted.

*Inside our house*

Our house was not very large but it was spacious enough for the five of us to live.Adler was a very fun person,he is clumsy but he was very kind.Rebecca loves to cook.Curry is her specialty.While Petra seems to be a shy girl.She never talk and always run on me whenever I tried to talk to her.

It was really a good days for me.I was never bored.My father was also happy.He and Adler become buddies.They always hang around and drinks until they passed out.Rebecca always scolded Adler because of it.I never seen father laugh like that.

For me,it was a very relaxing days.It seems Rebecca was pregnant.Adler was really proud about it.Adler always come with us whenever we are hunting.After that when we came home,Rebecca and Petra always wait on us outside our house.It was a very fun day.

But One Night,things were about to change.When I was about to go to sleep,I heard Adler and father talking.I sneakily listen to them while hiding.

Adler asked father a question.His face were serious..

"Does Livius know the truth Julius?"

"No,not yet"

"Why?I know Livius is just a kid.It is too much for him to know the truth yet.But Livius deserves to know the truth.Julius,I think it a wise decision to tell him."

Father didn't replied.Adler stand up and tap his shoulder."I know it's hard for you as his father.It's your decision to make."

As Adler walk towards the direction I was hiding,I immediately went to my room.

*Talking silently*

"What does he mean about the truth?"

-Arggggh-,Thinking just making my head hurts.I better go to sleep.

*Next day*

As I was lying down in the grassy field near our house,father sat beside me.He smiled on me."Livius, there's something I need to tell you."

Suddenly a strong wind blew...

As soon as I heard that,I stood up immediately.I look at him."Father,I heard you and Adler talking last night.Is it the truth that Adler was talking?"

Father faced the ground.His eyes were streaked with concern."Yes,it was.Let's get inside.I have something to show to you."Father and I went inside.

Adler and his family went out to pay a respect on father.Father looks at me with concern. "Livius,listen to me carefully.This is why I taught you many thing and had you learned how to use a sword."

I prepared myself to what my father will say..

"My son,you and I are a Samurai."

The word Samurai rings a bell on me.I remembered the day when Adler told me about it.He thinks my father is a Samurai.That my father is their hope.

"Father what is a Samurai?"

Father ask me to come with him.Father and I went to his room.This is the first time I have entered his room.I was surprised by what I saw on his room.There are strange drawings on it's wall.

"Father,what is those things?"I asked him as I was surprised.

Father pointed the drawing of the Sun first."Livius,this is the Sun.This is the symbol of our homeland."He pointed the symbols of some human who hold each other hands."This is the people we must protect.The people we must save now.Adler and his family were part of it.Then he pointed the Symbol of some human who holds the symbol of Sun in his hand."This is us Livius,we are a warriors who protected them on any dangers.We existed to protect them."

I was really confused by what he was saying.I tried to understand him but nothing came on my mind.

"Father what are you talking about?I don't really get it."

"I still have something to tell you."Father throws a bit of water on the wall.Suddenly,another symbol keeps appearing one by one.A Symbol of Sun being stamped by people.A symbol of human who had his hands tied.A symbol of human that being pierced by spear.By the time I saw that my heartbeat quickened.My vision is starting to blur.

"Livius,the first symbol,the symbol of Sun being stamped by people,it symbolized our Homeland or Country being invaded."While father says that,his expression seems different than usual.

"The symbol of human who had his hands tied,it symbolizes our people who became their slaves.Those who disobey will be killed.Just like on what you saw with Adler and his family."

My vision continues to blur.My head hurts everytime I try to understand him.

"The last symbol,the symbol of human that being pierced by spear,it was us,the warriors called Samurai.Before they invaded our country,Us Samurais fought them.But the Samurais was driven to their back.Every one of them was executed in front of the people of our country to served as lesson.No Samurai survived."Father soon noticed how pale I am.

Father holds me."Livius this the truth that you must accept.This is why I taught you many things even swordsmanship.It is your choice to fight or to let things continue to happen.You may rest now."

I immediately went to my room and lie down.My head keeps hurting.I just can't accept the truth easily.I decided to rest.

Twelve people who wears a black coat that envelopes their body and hides their face was sitting on the twelve chairs.An Amant guard suddenly kneel to respect.

One of the twelve people started to talk."Why are you here?"His voice was deep and his eyes glazed over.

The guard replied with a bit of terror in his face."Sire,Lindow's corpse was found inside the forest of Jifu."

One of the twelve people replied."Oh!Interesting,to think that Lindow,one of the Ten Ninjas that personally served us is dead.This fella who kills him might be strong."The voice this time is coming from a woman.Her way of speaking is kind of arrogant.

One of the twelve people replied."The killer must be skilled to kill him.To think that there is still some people out there like that,We need to teach him a lesson."This time the voice was coming from a proud Man.

One of the twelve people replied."Leave this matter to me,I'll make sure to teach him a lesson.If the corpse was found inside the forest of Jifu that means there are the possibilities that killer is still lurking inside the Mount Jifu.Knowing that there are guards that are guarding the village near it,the killer doesn't have a chance to hide inside the village.That means that the killer is still inside Mount Jifu."The voice comes from a calm person.

One of the twelve people replied."Just as we expected from you,Your still smart as ever.Fine, we leave this matter on you.Don't make us disappointed.Don't make this matter reach the highness."The voice comes from a noisy person.

The calm person replied."Of course,I don't want this thing to reach the highness.I'll personally go there.Somehow,I got a feeling that I will found something really big there."

The proud person replied."This might be interesting.You,you may go now."

As soon as the guard get out,he finally feel relieved.He doesn't really likes the Atmosphere inside that room.You seem to be in the place of people with monster resemblance.
