As quickly as he could, Jimin packed a few things into his bag.

The members of the band shinee and bts had always been fond of each other but that did not necessarily mean they knew of each others mental health issues.

The news definitely came as a shock to Jimin but fortunately he mentally turned on his autopilot, ready to take care of his friend, Taemin.

"At this hour Jimin?"
"Yes, it's important. You don't have to come with me, I just thought you should know."

The bodyguard sighed and hung up the phone.
Twenty minutes later, he drove Jimin to Shinee's dorm.

The minutes passed too slowly and Jimin surely asked the bodyguard three times to drive faster.

He was fidgeting with his fingers the entire time, thinking what he could possibly say to Taemin.
He couldn't think of anything that would maybe make him feel better.
Since Taehyung's grandma has been in the hospital every now and then, it seemed easier to prepare for something bad to happen sooner or later.

But this... with Jonghyun... was unexpected. To say the least.
Jimin looked out the window and his thoughts were racing.
It was 6am by now and they should reach their destination soon.

How could he not have heard of the news yet? Has he been that busy?
He groaned in impatience and looked around in the car, taking his phone into his hands once again.

No new messages

He put the phone away and continued staring out the window into the darkness.

After another ten minutes later, they finally arrived and Jimin jumped out the car in anticipation of being there for his friend.
He ran up the stairs, his bodyguard struggling to keep up with him.

He knocked on the door. Once. Twice. Raising his hand the third time, the door opened and there stood Taemin.
It was obvious that he had cried not too long ago.
Jimin stepped inside and pulled him into his arms.
Then Taemin bursted out in tears, not even bothering to close the door.

Jimin stepped into the apartment, softly closing the door, while his bodyguard waited outside.

He led him to the living room and sat down with him, stroking his hair, saying soothing words. He did not know where his confidence suddenly came from.
But seeing Taemin so broken...
Minho walked into the living room.

Jimin greeted him but Minho didn't answer. He just sat down on the couch and turned on the TV.
"Minho, might consider watching another time?"

Minho didn't answer.
"Minho?", Jimin asked again.

"Don't tell me what to do."
His tone was sharp and warning.

Taemin still had his face buried in Jimin's shoulder, clinging to him like a little kid.

Jimin cleared his throat.
"Look, I understand-"
"Don't say you know what it's like. You don't", Minho said and turned towards him.
"You have no clue, Jimin and I do not want to talk about it. Why don't you take care of your own problems first? Since you're so good at that."
Minho turned his face back on the TV.

Jimin felt a little sting as he said that.
He stood up and went with Taemin to his bedroom.
"I'll be right back okay?", he said after he sat him down on his bed and then walked to the front door of the apartment.

"I'll stay the night, you don't have to wait. Sorry for calling you, but thank you for driving me."

The bodyguard nodded.
"Sure, goodnight Jimin."

Jimin went back to Taemin and held him until he fell asleep.

In the morning at Bangtan's dormitories, Taehyung walked through the rooms wanting to invite Jimin to breakfast.
But he wasn't there.
Then Namjoon called from the living room.
"Guys? You might want to check this out."
He turned the volume a little louder.

"We are particularly sorry to announce on this special day, that boyband Shinee's member Kim Jonghyun has passed away."
"Holy shit", Jhope said.
Taehyung covered his mouth in shock.
"How?", he asked slowly.
"Suicide", Namjoon said and turned the television off.
"Jimin texted me a few hours ago. He's with Taemin right now."

Jungkook walked in, having heard what's going on.
He sneaked a hand on Taehyung's shoulder, caressing him a bit, staying silent.
"I... I will need to be alone for a bit", he slowly said and turned away from Jungkook walking back to his room.

After those news, no one felt like celebrating Christmas anymore.

The morning just carried on until they got picked up for the photoshoot, regardless of Namjoon's pleas to not do it.

"Smile boys, please, it's not that hard", a photographer said.
They tried to lift a few smiles on their faces but especially Jimin was only numbly staring into the distance, lost in his thoughts.

"Jimin, I'm talking to you."

Jimin's eyes focused on the camera.
"Sorry."

"Smile, please-"

"Just take the damn picture."

Sorry for not uploading in so long.
It's very difficult for me to write this fanfiction because I am not really spending much time with Kpop anymore. And its hard for me to get into their characters, wanting to make them realistic when it's been months since I've last watched a video of theirs or listened to a song.
My interests just changed and that's okay, but that is just the explanation to why i take forever to write new chapters.

And I've also been drained mentally these days, so there's that.
