26 Chapter 24 - The Curse of Longevity
Lewin blanckly stared at the globe for a moment.
"Where the fuck did Tomas get that armor???" He asked with a strange face.
Lewin quikly closed his eyes again and tried to check on the origins of that armor.
"Hmm~ I see, so they did get some progress done with the Soul Essence." Lewin said raising his brows.
After Tomas was injured on battle and lost his leg, he reached to one of the researchers of the castle and asked him to continue testing with Soul Essence, but now instead of people, they had to use it on machines.
Tomas knew the battle gainst the four kingdoms would become tougher from now on, and losing his leg was just a proof of it.
The results of his secret operations in the laboratory of the castle were that armor he used on the battle to protect Laila.
"It seems like he called it "Angel". Meh, what a clichê deus ex machina plot. So predictable" Lewin stated, even though he himself didn't see it coming.

After seeing the love of her life, tomas, disappearing right before her eyes, Laila had a hearth break.
This had traumatized her.
Everything had happened so fast and so much information had entered in her head at once that she just broke and just stared lifelessly at the place where the light Tomas created disappeared.
5 days passed with her like that, luckly, back at the castle, the people started gettinh worried about laila, but no one dared to sent a search team there, they couldn't handle seeing their so beloved queen dead body, they preferred just taking care of other issues rather than thinking about that.
But for Lillian and Abel it was a completely diferent matter, they wanted to see their mother, know if she was okay, and the longer they waited, the more in danger their mother would be, so they sent 2 soldiers to the mountain to search for Laila.
The soldiers obeyed and departed to the mountain where the two giant Mechas had disappeared.
They searched left and right, util they found the crater where Laila was.
Laila was like a doll, with all her body limp, save for her right hand that was extended towards the sky like she tried to touch something.
When the soldiers found her they quikly ran to her side and knelt on the ground crying of happiness, but because they were before their queen and had to maintain their posture they quikly recomposed and helped her stand up and took her to the Capital City
When the commoners saw Laila they quikly recognized her and started a whole comotion about it, but it didn't last as they entered the castle and took her to a hospital room in the castle.
When Abel and Lillian heard about Laila they sprinted to her room to hug her.
They were very relieved that she was alive, and even cried when they met.
Laila was still a bit hurt because of Tomas, but she still found strength to hug and kiss her childs.
After that she dismissed her children and called the researchers that participied in the creation of the armor Tomas used as well as some generals and close subordinates of Tomas.

"Do you know why i called you all here?" Laila asked looking out the window.
"Yes your majesty...." Said the general that worked under Tomas with a shadow over his face.
"....I see...." Laila said slowly "Can i know why no one told me about that weapon?"
"King Tomas ordered us to be secretive." Told one of Tomas top archers.
"We won't give any excuses" Said one of the researchers that helped make the armor Tomas used.
"I see...." She replied "So, let's not waste any more time."
"""Yes!""" They all said in unison.
"Me, as the Queen of Britania, and supreme Ruler over Human kind...."
As Laila made a stop at her sentence all of the 14 people on the room reached on their clothes and retrived knifes.
And with the weapons on hand, they immediatelly tried to cut their throats.
"...I pardon you all"
As Laila finished finished her words all the knifed snnaped in two when they were about to touch their throats, and the blades fell to the ground.
They all looked at knifes in their hands in confusion, and just understood what had happened when they heard laila puting back down the butter knife that was on the plate of the tabble at the side of her bed.
"Pa-Pardon us? Wh-Why?!" Asked one of the swordmans from Tomas main battalion.
Laila who was still looking out the window slowly turned her face to the 14 man standing on her room.
"...Because you didn't do anything wrong..." She said as a tear ran down her cheek and touched her white blanket. "I am mad.... But it's not fair to punish you all because of my husband stupid decision" She said as tears started to trail down her face and fall on the blanket.
Laila raised a hand, and with her index finger she wiped one of the trails of tears from her face. "Let's just forget about the past.... And move forward, okay?" Laila proposed with a smile.
Her words acted like magic words and pierced right throught the 14 mans hearths.
The immediatelly placed their hands above their chest and squeezed them. All of them suddenly started to cry copiously and fell to the ground.
They once again kneeled before their ruler and once again swore their loyalty to the Pendragons! From this pont on, even if Laila didn't ask for it, nor did she want them to do it, those 14 man became slaves for the Pendragons, determined to serve their blood line forever.

3 months later
Days after Laila came back to the Capital city, all the supervisors of the castle organized a big party in celebration for their victory in the war, and also to officially Crown Laila the Absolute Ruler of Humanity.
On the celebration many important figures of Britania appeared, there were merchants, warriors, generals, commanders, adventurers, mercenarries, nobles, and even people like murderers and bandits appeared.
The celebration happened on the top of a giant mountain whose top was cut off by laila leaving a plane surface on it.
The celebration was so important that even some important and very strong members of Britania kingdom that were on expeditions over the outer world came back to the Human Continents to participate on the Crowning ceremony.
The celebration had many seats all over the mountain which were very bealtiful and decorated, but the main guests, that sat the closest to the Pendragon, were sitting on big red throned made out of gold, diamons, emeralds and many other precious stones and minerals.
Among the main guests were Selina from the old "Blunt Blade", that now had became the biggest company of the whole kingdom, and had been granted the noble name of "Waiza" by Laila.
The succesfor of the Gharrar Borion, who was one fo the 3 greatest warriors of Britania, and now owned a househood full of brutes that had the power comparable to a whole army; Barfeuru Borian.
And many patriarchs of many duke famillies.
Among the excitement and expectations the people held for the event, suddenly, a giant shadow hovered over the skies, and as everyone looked up to see what it was, they saw a giant blue lizard flying over them.
The lizard beast hovered around the mountain, and then flew towards the entrance of the temple where the event was taking place, but just then, a sound of "Swish!!" sounded through the place as the creature was cut to pieces, and form the entrance of the temple, Laila casually walked in.
"Sorry for being late, i was dealing with some issues" She casually said as she slowly put the sword back in it's sheath.
The whole audience vibrated in emotion and excitement.
And so the crowning ceremony started.
Laila walked p to the podium and kneeled over the feets ofa grand priest that was standing there.
"Oh, child, gifted by your father, and conceived by your mother, but blessed by the Great One. Do you accept to honor and follow his expectations and will over you own wish?" He asked slowly as he picked a giant gold crown from a pillow that a choirboy was holding at his side with closed eyes.
"Yes, i do. Shall the great one accept me, and allow me to ascend" laila replied as she lowered her head even lower and kissed the ground right before the priest.
"Shall he accept." The Priest said as Laila raised her head again, and he placed the crown on her head.
"Right now! A new tree is born over the great sun!! May you grow! And spread your grace over the world!!" He said.
Laila got up from her knees and looked over the audience.
"I am now your Queen!! Bow before me!!!" Laila demanded raising her sword high to the sky.
At her words, immediatelly all the guests got up from their seats and bowed to her.
""""Yes!!! Ours Queen!!!"""" They all said in unison.
100 years later.
As Laila became the Absolute Queen of humanity she used all her influence, and made all possible effort to better the lifes of all humans on earth.
Throught her reign many rebelion attempts happened, but they were all realt with ease by Laila and her army.
The majority of those rebelious people were members of the contried Laila defeated on the world war, and members of her own contry that didn't like her efforts to bring equality to the world, fearing that they themselves would lose their belongings. But poor fools, they didn't even had the chance to act up, and were massacred on the spot.
As Laila ruled over humanity and brought them wealth, safety and happiness, the years slowly passed, and Laila eventually realised something: She wasn't aging.
Or to be exact, she WAS aging, but just very slowly. She saw many old frieds perish, babies be born, her kingdom grow and change, and the technology slowly advance.
In her time as queen, Laila succesfully reached the age of 100 years old with the face of a 20 years old.
But this strange condition seemed to be genetic, because both her children, Lillian and Abel also were aging slower, and had became 60 years old with the appearance of 18 years old.
But... Something worried Laila. Although like her, Lillian and Abel were also aging Slower than the rest of the people, it was as clear as day, her level of longevity was greater than theirs.
Little by little, it became apparent, when they became 80, they looked to be on their 30's, but laila still looked like a 20 year old.
Worry layered over worry, and soon Laila started to fear what would happen on the future.
100 years later.
Finally, Laila had became 212 years old.
Many generations had already, and the stories and legends of the divine feats the Pendragon family had done became a part of the history of the people of Britania.
It was already customary for parents to read on history books the acts of bravery of Laila; The sword Empress, Abel; the sword saint, and Lillian; The saintess.
But as the Pendragons became eternalized in history, Laila slowly realized her reality, and started to become restless.
Abel was 189 years old, and Lillian was 192 years old, and they both looked like 40 year olds, while Laila still had her 20's appearance.
Laila was completelly despaired, what should she do, what COULD she do?!?! she had already lost her husband, her closest frieds were already gone, the only thing that remained of her family were her children, and she was going to lose them?! She couldn't accept it!!
Laila ordered many researchers to start working on a new project, this time, she wanted them to create something that could streatch someone's life span! She wanted a Potion of Longevity!!
And for that purpose, for the first time, Laila and a group of of brave warriors departed topwards the Outer world, seeking for the miraculous ingredient they could use to create a potion of longevity!!
