1 Chapter One

I awoke to adrenaline rushing through me, I blinked with tired baggy eyes before staring at the brunette standing almost in front of me. Another girl with blond hair and angry tears was holding something silver and I took a slow step to the side to see it was a gun. My eyes widened and I looked everywhere to see we were in an apartment, "Miss please don't shoot!" I yelled not knowing what to do but the two ladies acted as if I wasn't there. The blond lady then put her finger over the trigger and shook her head before finally pulling it. I was behind her and tried to grab the gun but my hands went through her as if I was a ghost, "What the hell!?" I yell as I put my hands to my face now realizing I was crying and the brunette was on the ground with her clothing soaked in crimson red liquid. I then screamed in fear as everything flashed black and white before I was in the same setting but the brunette was gone.

My heart was pounding and I looked at my hands to see the nails were painted baby blue and I saw brown hair fall in front of my face. 'Am I in the situation from before?' I asked myself or whoever I was before looking at the blond lady and realizing she started speaking. " Why.. You promised not to ever try and leave my side! I thought you were better." She spoke bitterly and her finger floated over the trigger so I quickly talked back. "Dont shoot! Im sorry, I truly am sorry and I wasn't myself. You know me! Please Haley." I spoke worried, shakily, and fast almost losing my words. I'm not sure how I knew her name but I'm glad I did since she dropped the gun and hugged me tightly while begging me to stay quiet and that she was sorry. I nodded and the flash happened again before I was in a calming cafe type room. A person my age smiled before looking over and snapping their fingers, "You are confused, yes?" They asked and I wasn't sure how to respond but I nodded before realizing I was back in my own body so I analyzed my surroundings.

"Very confused. Where am I? Why did I go through that?" I asked. "You are wherever my mind sends us and you went through that since that's now your job." They paused as they sipped coffee, "You will have to go through that since you died in your past life and was assigned to save others. You shall see how it ends without your help and then you help, simple as that but if you fail too many times you will be stuck with me over here. I learned that the hard way." I nodded while processing their horrible words.

"Could I see myself in a mirror or have something to eat?" I asked as I could take in a deep breath and the person nodded before smiling. "Call me Owen or Ari." They then snapped their fingers and I was in a room with a mirror and a nice meal was in front of the desk waiting for me almost. I looked in the mirror to see I wasn't a mess like I thought I would be, I had short hair which was half black, half purple, I had an indie goth style outfit and dark blue eyes. I ate and drank some energy drinks and coffee before hesitantly looking at my hand and snapped which caused me to flinch with worry but I was teleported back to the cafe looking area. "Ah, your back. Ready?" Owen asked and I nodded. "One snap is all it takes."

Owen warned me so I nodded, snapped, and after a few blinding flashes I slowly blinked my eyes open.
