A set of blue words appeared in front of a humanoid figure made of white light that floated in a dark void.
"I see…" A rather calm voice originating from the figure echoed in the void. It carried slight sadness with it.
[Do you want to change your fate?]
The words changed.
A while passed as the entity pondered, "Change my fate? You mean that next time an airplane won't crash into my room to kill me and my family?"
The words didn't answer the entity so the being sighed.
"Yes."
[To do that you must agree to something. When the time comes, you must destroy an omnipotent being.]
The entity seemed taken aback, "What?! How can I possibly do that?! I am just a man!"
[All your questions will be answered in time. Naturally, I won't ask something impossible. If you wish to reject, I will let go of your soul and you shall be judged or get reincarnated without memories.]
The entity read it and felt unsure, the words changed again.
[What is your choice?]
A few minutes passed.
"I accept."

The entity vanished from the void, and so did the words. Only darkness remained.
In a dark and damp cell room in an unknown location, only a few rays of light illuminated the cell revealing a heavily injured 20-year-old man in chains. The man was covered in scars, his body was barely covered with a piece of tattered cloth. His black hair was unkempt and very long indicating he had been in the cell for quite a long time, it covered his face making him look defeated and wretched.
The origin of the light that barely lit up the room laid beyond the bars of the cell, in a narrow hallway that led to somewhere unknown. A set of footsteps echoed as the shadow of a man approached the cell, it was hard to see clearly in the dim light yet one could see in his hand something resembling a bowl.
Someone appeared, at last, he stood in front of the cell, his figure covered by darkness, he kneeled and put the bowl inside the cell and emotionlessly walked away.
The sound seemingly awakened the prisoner in the cell, he looked around in confusion, then at his scarred hands in shock, he turned to the rest of his body and long hair, his dark eyes were eventually filled with disbelief.
'So whatever that was, caused me to reincarnate? No, rather, transmigrate into this body here…' He thought, feeling interested in the situation. His body felt uncomfortable and dirty, and slight pain accompanied all his movements. He was feeling unusually calm regarding his situation.
He crawled to the bowl and inspected the content, 'Something like porridge? I am not eating this…' He crawled back to the edge of the cell.
'So what now?' As if waiting for him to think this, a floating screen appeared in front of him, roughly 30 centimeters in front of his face.
A set of white words quickly formed on the dark blue screen.

A flow of information and skills entered the mind of the man, it was quite gentle almost as if he was remembering a pleasant dream he had forgotten. The memories were only information that the person the body had belonged to before knew.

The screen with the words on quickly minimized itself to the side, becoming a small shortcut with the name, 'System Logs'. When that happened, a menu became visible in the center of the floating screen.
There were 5 options on it besides the logs. He looked at them with a smile of excitement and joy. At the very bottom was the log, then 4 were above it and one of them stood alone at the top.

It was the top left one with the image of a sitting humanoid figure surrounded by an aura of energy.
[Inventory]
It was the top right one with the image of a bag.
[Quests]
It was the lower-left one, an exclamation mark was on it.
[Death Reset]
This option that was on the lower right was greyed out but there was an explanation written on it.

He wished it and as he expected, the screen went away. When he willed it, it appeared again. 'It obeys my will, I see… Last but not least.'
He summoned the system screen and focused on the icon that was bigger than all the others and stood alone on the top part of the screen.

Checking everything, he closed the system and focused on the newly gained information from the memories.
'Without doubt, I am in Konoha in Narutoverse… Thankfully I have this Calm Mind ability otherwise I would have panicked a lot, let's leave it on for now. I have to figure out what did this guy did to get him here… Let me dig deeper…'
A while passed as the information appeared in his mind, his eyes opened, they were filled with understanding, 'He gained some information on ROOT and was kidnapped while in a mission and brought here before he could expose anything… He was tortured for a while and then discarded like a piece of trash… That's certainly a Main-Character-like start.'
He chuckled for a moment and continued thinking a bit more solemnly, 'But this does not bode well for me… I have to get out of here somehow.'
Just then, he felt something in his system. He opened his system and checked the logs.

There was another Quest there as well, he read it.

'How do I escape this place…' He wondered and checked for any weakness in the chains, he found none. He didn't find anything on the walls either.
His mood quickly became gloomy after seeing no way out, 'This prison was made to hold in ninja, I can't escape…'
He opened the system again and opened inventory, it was empty.
The only thing he had left was the Cultivation option, he took a deep breath and nervously opened it.

He clicked on yes, there was nothing else he could do. He was also curious to see what this was about.
The words faded away as an intense pain assaulted his entire body.
