Rewards
Sui felt as if some sort of fire had replaced his blood, his body burned from inside, and yet at the same time, he felt extremely cold. He was paralyzed and couldn't move, he couldn't even scream in pain. He could only endure.
It was a bizarre experience.
Slowly his vision turned dark and finally, his mind gave away and he fell unconscious. He embraced the darkness, happy to be relieved of the pain.
An unknown amount of time passed.
Sui slowly woke up, the 1st thing he noticed was the smell. It was bad, in fact, it was so repulsive that he vomited before he had even opened his eyes.
He looked at this body, it was covered in some form of black jelly-like substance. The substance was the source of the putrid smell.
He almost vomited again, he quickly used the tattered piece of clothing he was wearing to wipe it off his face, hands, and legs. Unfortunately, it didn't help that much. He was covered in it, only a long bath could possibly help him.
He stopped breathing through his nose and did it with his mouth, at least he didn't have to endure the smell that way.
He observed his surroundings to see if anything was different, it was not.
When he looked at his hands again, he noticed that the scars had vanished, but it was too hard to see clearly due to the darkness.
He shook his head and put the matter aside, he opened the system and went directly to the Logs.
[Purification Rebirth Completed.]
He closed the logs with a frown, 'I don't know what it did to me, but I don't feel pain like before, only the discomfort of this nasty black stuff on my skin and the overall situation in the cell. It probably healed me or something…'
He opened the Cultivation in the menu and observed the new window.
He saw a timer and a 'Begin' bottom. Below them, he saw a line of text.
[Estimated time to next level: 3 Hours]
He quickly realized what it was about, he set the timer to 3 hours easily and clicked on the 'Begin' Bottom.
Suddenly he felt his mind become sluggish, he lost sense of his body and quickly entered a trance state. Before he could make out what was going on, he woke up from that state.
He instantly noticed a difference within himself, he felt a little stronger, some sort of warmness he had not noticed before had increased in the core of his body. The warm feeling spread to all of his body, making him feel comfortable and relaxed.
He surprisingly felt complete control over the warm energy. He played with it inside his body a little, for some reason, the chains that bound him disrupted it whenever he tried to pass it through certain points in his body.
'So I just need to set a timer and the system cultivates Chakara for me? I am a Jonin now?' He thought and opened the logs.
[Host Advanced to Low Jonin. Congratulations.]

Sui smiled in joy, 'This is really good. It might not take long for me to become really powerful. Destroying an Omnipotent being is a stupid dream though, I don't know what that thing was thinking asking me that…'
He opened Cultivation again and read the text to see how much it would take to the next level.

He smirked as he set the timer and entered trance again.
As he was sitting on the ground of the cell, seemingly sleep, the same figure who had brought the bowl before approached the cell, in his hand another bowl of porridge.
He stopped in front of the cell, a frown appeared on his emotionless face, 'Is he dead? This smell is like a rotting corpse's no it's even worse…'
He opened the door of the cell and approached Sui who was inside, after taking a look and seeing he was breathing, he closed the cell and walked away indifferently.
A day passed, the guard of the cell came several times and saw the same situation, he felt something was amiss but couldn't quite put his hand on it.
Meanwhile, Sui woke up, this time feeling much stronger, the amount of Chakra within him had become much more compact and dense.
He quickly collected the Reward and checked it in the Inventory.
A katana with a pitch-black blade rested in his inventory, he inspected it, 'Its looks quite similar to Tensa Zangetsu from bleach… Pity I don't know how to use a sword to fight Ninja. The Chakra sword wave should be useful though...'
He stood up and stretched his muscles a little, making sure not to breathe through his nose, he didn't want to vomit again. Suddenly his stomach roared in hunger.
His eyes widened as the terrible hunger surprised him, 'Damn it, It seems I can't just set the timer to a few months and get Kage level Chakra… I have to use it daily…'
He quickly took the Bowl in the cell and ate the tasteless porridge, it elevated his hunger a little.
He checked to see that the next level up would need 3 days and its reward was ridiculous, "Mastery of Taijutsu and Kenjutsu?!" He couldn't help but mutter due to his shock.
For a moment he didn't believe what his eyes were seeing, 'How can it do this?! It takes time to master such things… How can I just get it and skip so much… I guess it is possible since this is a system. Those with Sharingan could master a Ninjutsu by seeing it cast in front of their eyes, after all, I should put aside my logic and change it…'
He sat down and entered cultivation, he set the timer to 23 hours and 50 minutes and ate food, water and stretched his body in those 10 mins.
3 days later, he leveled up to High Jonin. Thanks to the Chakra suppressing chains, no ninja with sensory abilities sensed his improvements, this helped him in secret. He didn't know that though.

A massive flow of information entered his mind, he suddenly found himself in a field, practicing move after move. Fighting clones of himself in his mind space to master them. He couldn't control his body in that state, he just absorbed whatever he could.
A long time passed in the mind space but to him, it was more like a dream, so he didn't sense that. On the outside, only a few seconds passed.
Meanwhile, he just absorbed the information as his body changed a little, his body was tempered by the system as if he had trained many years to master those things.
After all, both skill and a trained body signified mastery.
The moment his eyes opened, there was a strange glint in them, something only warriors and ninjas who had trained for years possessed. No one was there to notice it though.
'It actually did it, holy…' Sui was speechless over the actions of the system. It was way too broken.
This didn't make him feel bad though, instead, it made him elated.
He had learned how to fight barehanded and with a sword, even though there was no special style, but basic, adept, and some expert moves trained to mastery was not to be underestimated. He even had learned what to do in different situations, how to fight different opponents… it was just as good if he had spent years to master them.
Could he beat a trained Jonin? Not likely, but a chunin or new Jonin yes. He became a bit more confident. He lacked fighting experience and Ninjutsu so even with his new mastery, he lacked the fighting power of a true trained Jonin.
'I have to level up more…'
He saw the next level up needed 1 week. Thankfully he didn't notice the flow of time while cultivation was in session, otherwise, he would have died of boredom in the prison cell. For him, it passed in a blink of an eye.
The reward was something unusual for the new level-up Quest.

'So it's basically Killua's godspeed? This is an S-class ability… This will be the key to my escape…' Sui thought and decided to set the timer again. He disliked the cell and hated the smell, so the cultivation was some sort of escape from reality as well.
A week passed, the guard got used to the new behavior of his prisoner. At first, he was suspicious but got used to it. The prisoner didn't even move, he just ate and drank in silence while enduring such a horrible smell. The guard was impressed a little but he was didn't feel anything else, as a member of ROOT, he was trained to be emotionless.
