1 System Maker

Chen Zoa woke up feeling the pain of a bruised and battered body. Blood gushed from his nose, and there was a knot on his head.

"They got me good again," he moaned to himself as he slowly got up.

"I wish I had the strength to get them to stop. If I had power, they would never dare mess with me!"

SYSTEM UPLOADING...

Chen Zoa looked around but couldn't see anyone.

"Did something just tell me a system was uploading?" Chen asked himself. He was still in a daze from the beating he received.

"CONGRATULATIONS, you have activated the BULLY BEATING SYSTEM.

From this day forth, you will be able to harness the power of the universe to eradicate bullying," A robotic voice said to Chen.

"The Bully Beating System? Can this be? I've read so many web novels and always hoped the stories were true. It turns out the stories are true! I'm getting my very own system!"

"It's true, young man, I am Elder Zai, your system grandpa. With my knowledge of fighting and the power of the Bully Beating System, you will one day have the power to beat all the bullies in the universe!" Grandpa Zai said to the young man.

"It's a system, grandpa! This is awesome! I will bring all bullies to justice! Wait and see, I'll defeat every bully in the universe one day! But for now, I'll start with Hong Po! It's time to beat some bullies!"

Chen Zoa dashed away from Grandpa Zai to seek his tormentors and give them a taste of his righteous fist!

"But...wait...young man...I wasn't finished!" Grandpa Zai chased after the deranged Chen Zoa.

He watched in stupefaction as Chen Zoa rushed up to a group of kids and abruptly started throwing a punch at the biggest kid.

Everyone was shocked, especially the biggest kid who was just punched in the face.

"No...I haven't even taught you anything. Are you crazy? That kid is huge!" Grandpa Zai screamed as he watched the now bragging Chen Zoa rushing around kicking, punching, biting, and spitting on all of the kids in the group.

The big kid just watched him for a bit; he was clearly baffled by Chen Zoa's attack.

"I don't think that's even the right kid," Grandpa Zai yelled helplessly.

Finally, the big kid couldn't take it anymore and punched Chen Zoa, who immediately crumpled to the ground.

SYSTEM CONNECTION LOST

"What...no...what happened?!"

Rem Meag slammed his fist on his computer with anger. Rem had spikey brown hair, baggy jeans, a t-shirt, and white tennis shoes.

"Why are these beta testers always idiots?" He screamed futilely at the screen.

"I think the poor boy had a concussion. That's probably why he went on the rampage, and we lost connection."

A blue ghostly figure came out of the laptop and floated behind Rem. Rem flashed his rage-filled eyes behind him when he suddenly let go of his anger and helplessly slumped his shoulders.

"You would think he could have lasted long enough for you to introduce yourself," Rem pouted as he drew circles in the dirt with his finger.

"Rem, my boy, don't worry about it! You are a gifted young man, and one day you'll make the greatest system ever!"

Grandpa Zai always knew what to say to cheer Rem up.

"That's right; besides, I haven't even started the System Maker Academy!"

"Did you get an acceptance letter?" Grandpa Zai asked expectantly.

"I got my acceptance letter right here!"

Rem pulled out a piece of paper from his back pocket and shoved it into Grandpa Zai's face as he started to dance around. Grandpa Zai read the letter with trembling hands.

"Dear Applicant, REM MEAG, we are happy to announce your acceptance into System Maker Academy.

Please arrive at orientation on the 7th of February to begin your journey as a master system maker.

In addition to..." Grandpa Zai continued to read. His expression was filled with pride and excitement.

"Rem. my boy, this is fantastic! I knew you could do it." Grandpa Zai yelled and spun in place.

Rem had tears in his eyes as he suddenly threw his arms around the apparition.

"I couldn't have done it without you!"

"Ha Ha, don't count yourself out. You're the hardest working student I ever had. Not only have you been working on your system making skills, but you've also developed your cultivation like a demon!

As the kid and the ghost congratulated one another, a blond-haired boy with sharp features, nearly six feet tall, and filled with bulging muscles walked toward them. The boy looked like he was in his mid-twenties, but he was only fifteen.

He wore a light blue tracksuit and purple tennis shoes. His face looked as if he was sucking on a lemon.

A lot of kids at school called him lemon-face because of this.

"You got into the System Maker Academy, Rem? Ha, how far do you think you can go there? I think you'll get kicked out before winter break."

Both Rem and Grandpa Zai stopped their rejoicing looking at the unwanted visitor.

"What does it matter to you, Fezz? You want another beating?" A dangerous glint lit up in Rem's eyes.

"Just relying on your brawn won't make you a System Maker. Unfortunately for you, I have brawn, brains, and I'm all-around better than you.

I'll be ruling the Academy within six months while you'll be floundering at the bottom!" Fezz said smugly.

"Brains? You're just a trainer! I'm going to become a programmer, designer, hunter, trainer, and whatever else I need to be. I got into the academy on my brains. I even got a scholarship. Did you get a scholarship?"

Dangling his acceptance letter in Fezz's face he mocked old lemon face. Fezz just snorted and walked away.

"The reason your system never works is that you don't have a team. A good system can't be built by one person! Whatever, see you at orientation, loser!"

Grandpa and Rem just looked at each other for a while and then at the path Fezz took before disappearing.

"He is never going to let go of me kicking him off of my team," Rem said.

"It's too bad too; he was the only guy you know whose name is dumber than yours," Grandpa said.

Rem's eyes opened wide at the insult.

"It's not like I named myself," Rem said.

"No, but you're the one who keeps insisting on going by that name." Grandpa Zai laughed before disappearing back into Rem's laptop.

Rem was stunned for a moment before a bitter smile escaped his lips.

"You're the one who named me before you passed; why shouldn't I go by this name."

Rem looked up into the sky for a moment.

"System Maker Academy, here I come!"
