"Good morning, Xue," Snowy waved her hand at Feng Xue, who just exited her room.
"M-morning, Snowy! Ah, I'm going to check my father's condition. See you later!" Feng Xue flustered and hastily ran away when she saw Snowy greet her.
Snowy frowned when she saw Feng Xue figure quickly disappeared, entering next corridor. Actually, it had been a week since Feng Xue and Snowy play this game of cat and mouse. Snowy felt so confused about Feng Xue's strange behavior.
Suddenly, a sweet voice came from behind her.
"Do you two have a fight?" Madam Feng appeared wearing a blue loose dress making her motherly figure more enchanting, and quietly sat on the stone bench nearby.
"No." Snowy shook her head readily.
"Then, why does it seems she is avoiding you?" Madam Feng raised her brow, baffled.
"I don't know." Snowy looked down and sounded very dejected.
"Just tell me the whole story. Maybe I can help you." With a gentle smile, she asked Snowy to sit beside her.

Snowy began talking about the gist of what happened the night after they returned from Yan Family's Mansion.

After Feng Xue, Snowy, and the Heaven Sword sect trio returned to City Lord's Mansion, Elder Yang quickly excused himself and departed from the mansion alongside Lin Ming and Zi Ling.
The situation in the mansion has already improved. As an accomplice of Feng Luo's crime, Chamberlain Xi had been deprived of his position as the head of the servant. However, his life was pardoned due to the dedication and loyalty he had had for the Feng Family in the time he was in service.
Feng Xue didn't complain about her mother's judgment and felt the punishment was enough, considering his action stem from his concern for the family's survival.
When the night fell, Snowy accompany Feng Xue visiting Feng Xuan's room. Feng Xue carefully washed his body and changed his clothes. Even though she smiled while she was taking care of her father, her eyes couldn't hide the sadness inside.
"Don't worry. Your father will be better soon. Everybody is helping you right now, and you're not alone." Snowy noticed her gloominess and gently comforted her.
"I know… But, I'm still afraid. What if, with all effort we did, we still failed to find all the ingredients or alchemist to concocted the medicine?" a puddle of tears slowly formed and moisten Feng Xue's eyes.
"We, no, I will find another way then. Just believe in me."
Seeing Feng Xue was about to cry, Snowy caress her cheek and wiped her tears gently using her thumb.
"Thank you, Snowy… really…."
Feeling the warmth of Snowy's hand on her face, Feng Xue calmed down. Her gaze fell on Snowy's beautiful eyes and felt resolute will and determination within it.
"Do you still remember when I said I would give you another cultivation method that fit your bloodline and constitution? Let's return to your room so I can teach you the technique." Snowy was the first to break the silence and change the topic.
"Okay." Feng Xue nodded obediently; a tinge of redness appear on her ears.
