Ch. 5 A solution

Browsing through the medicine tab Don proceeds to look for antipsychotics. Jinx gives off serious schizophrenia vibes both in person and on a TV.

Sighing while looking at the prone Jinx Don taps on the cure for psychosis option. Instantly his balance is dropped to 5,000 golden hexes and a chocolate appears in his inventory. Pulling it out he kneels next to the insane girl.

"Hey asshole, eat this."

Jinx looks at the chocolate in his hand recovering back to reality.

"Poison? Why should I trust you?"

"Fucking hell I'm not going to explain it."

Don proceeds to force open her jaw against her struggles and shoves the chocolate down her throat. After making sure she's swallowed it he steps back.

'He's just shoved the poison down my throat. I guess I'll finally see my sister and friends. I'm coming.' Jinx thinks to herself

However as she waits the voices of her dead friends constantly ringing in her ears quiets down and disappears. The figures of Milo and Claggor in the peripheral of her vision fade and disappear. The adrenaline constantly pumping through her brain and body go back to normal levels.

Silence fills her ears. A beautiful silence, something she hasn't experienced since she killed her good friends and adoptive dad. Since her sister, her rock left her life.

"What happened?" Jinx turns to Don.

He ponders on how to respond, "From where I come, what you had was a known mental illness. I gave you the cure."

Tears fill her eyes, "You're telling me my friends weren't haunting me?"

"No. Those were hallucinations. A terrible, crippling disease." Don replies.

Jinx stands up giving Don a grateful look before picking up her guns. She shoulders the weapons and walks out of the arcade silently. "You're sisters alive you know?" Don says. Jinx pauses for a second before continuing.

Don continues training his boxing waiting for the next job. He's back a lot of money because of this and needs Silco's big pockets to fill his own. A couple days later Sevika finds him and Silco gives him another job to steal records for the hexgates. He completes this easily.

He's had some interactions with Jinx lately, she's a lot more stable and not firing shots at him randomly. However they are only acquaintances so far. A couple of jobs later and they could kind of be called friends. The rest of the gang ostracizes her for her past actions leaving only Don to interact with.

Plus he cured her so there's some gratitude lying inside too. One night when Don has saved up enough money for the devil fruit after a few months she finds him to go drinking.

Don is surprised, he's never seen her drink and as they enter the bar she drinks the liquor like water. With many drinks down her throat she finally starts a conversation. "You said my sister is alive?"

"She is." Don replies twirling his drink with a mixed.

"Where is she then? She said she'd find me…" Jinx looks a Don with pitiful eyes.

"She's in jail. Been behind bars for a while, how long I'm not sure though." Don finishes mixing and slams his drink.

The loud noise in the bar almost completely drowns out jinx's next sentence that is more like a whisper, "Does she still love me… I wonder."

Don looks at Jinx slumped over the bar counter almost passed out, he sighs and then says, "Family is the strongest bond out there. Im sure she misses you greatly."

However he's not sure she heard him as she's currently passed out. He pays the tab before carrying her out like a sack of potatoes. He rents a room for her and tucks her into the bed before heading into his own room.

He's currently looking at the shop.

Currently he has a few choices. Logias are way out of his pay grade right now but he's had his eyes on the nikyu nikyu no mi or paw paw fruit for the longest time. It's user in one piece was Bartholomew Kuma and he used it to become an insanely powerful warlord.

He buys the fruit and takes a bite scrunching his face up at the horrible taste. After he swallows it small paw pads grow on his hand. A notification appears letting him know he's gained this skill. He takes out a knife and tries to cut into the paw pad but it only sinks in a little before shooting out with great force.

Don looks in surprise at the knife wobbling in the ceiling and a smile grows on his face. This fruit allows the user to repel anything from these paw pads on their hands. And by anything it means anything. From repelling air allowing for compressed blasts of air to shoot out at high speeds to repelling your own body to allow for short range teleportation the uses are great. Even intangible things can be repelled like Bartholomew does with pain in the show.

Don decides to ignore sleep with this newfound power, he's sure Jinx will be fine thus he heads to outside the city into the marshlands. In the middle of the night he begins practicing. First starting with air blasts, small explosions begin ringing out in the forest around Piltover and Zaun.

After spending a week and gaining a basic mastery and lvl 5 in the fruit Don begins trying to teleport himself, the true reason to buy this fruit. He extends his palm and uses the inner side of the paw to repel himself. He disappears from his location and almost smashes into a tree.

"Too much force, this requires a lot of finesse."

He does it again almost tumbling over his speed and falls on his face. Finally he activates the sharingan. Extending his hand he repels again, this time with a clear view of his surroundings.

After experimenting many times Don figures out the basic principles, by repelling yourself you launch not only at a high speed in one direction. You also begin spinning midair at high speeds. The key to this move is extending one hand when you want to stop moving and at the correct time of the spin repel enough to stop your movement.

Obviously this is very difficult, luckily he has the sharingan so he can capture what's happening as he's moving reducing the difficulty quite a bit.
