Book One: Earth. Ch.4

Two years had passed since Xiao Feng had arrived in the avatar world.

Now Xiao Feng was about eight and had a fun life, although for him it was only the beginning! He was saving money so he could buy an amount and travel the world riding a giant lizard or something similar.

Although this dream seemed far away, considering the time and pay that the lady gives Xiao Feng.

This one is not bothered by the delay in starting his own journey. He is rather happy as this undoubtedly gives him more time to continue improving in his earthbending.

Right now, Xiao Feng was heading to the tunnel where he was trapped. That was his home. After all, he developed a good friendship with the local badgermole.

It was quite normal, a bed, a table, several chairs, a kitchen and so on. There was no form of entertainment like the internet or television in this world, but honestly, this was not a problem. Do you think a boy from some secret spy and murder organization would watch TV? No. He was barely able to watch television as a child.

What did Xiao Feng do for fun, you ask ... Well, he spent his free time practicing, without the human company of course.

Xiao Feng heard in the distance a rockfall inside the tunnel.

He quickly ran to where such a catastrophe occurred. It didn't take long for him to arrive and observe a little girl lying on the ground.

He knew immediately that she fell thanks to the rocks, just as he did in the past.

He took her in his arms and carried her to his little home to help her.

It was dark and he was using seismic vision to get his bearings, therefore he couldn't see the girl's face. But without a doubt, as soon as he enters a place with a light source, he would be surprised to have Toph Beifong in his arms.

Xiao Feng opened the doors of his house and the light from it invaded the entire tunnel.

Xiao Feng did not look at the person in his arms and left her on his bed to rest. Immediately after putting her to bed, he realized who he had brought home.

If he had water in his mouth, he probably would have to spit it out in surprise.

"Toph!" Exclaim Xiao Feng.

With that scream, Toph woke up and was scared to be in a strange place with a strange person.

"Get out of me!" Toph exclaimed scared.

"Hey, are you really afraid of me? But I'm a kid! Just like you! I'm barely eight years old." Xiao said to calm Toph down.

"... Where I am!?" She asks without paying much attention to the young man.

Xiao Feng just sighed. "You are in my humble home. I brought you here because you fell in a landslide."

"...Thanks," Toph replied curtly.

"You are blind, right?" Xiao Feng didn't realize that he asked in a rather bad way.

"Yeah! What's up with that !?" Toph asked aggressively.

"Well, it was just a question, okay? You don't have to be yelling so much ..." Xiao Feng said while rummaging his ears.

Then he realized that doing those kinds of gestures didn't make sense if she doesn't could see it.

"System, is there a pill to stop being blind or something?"

[Wrong, the only similarity would be, a HEALING PILL, but it returns the injured areas to a previous state. Toph Beifong was born blind, therefore the pill would not affect.]

Xiao Feng sighed a bit unmotivated but soon felt a hit.

Because? Well, Toph thought he was making fun of her when he spoke to the system, and now she punched Xiao Feng in the stomach.

"Wow, you caught me off guard ..." Xiao Feng said painfully.

Toph grunted at this and Xiao Feng just sighed. "I am for gender equality, therefore I could kick your ass, but I don't fight disabled people." It was what Xiao Feng said to annoy young Beifong.

Toph seriously tried to hit Xiao, but he was on guard so it was impossible.

"Well, I made fun of you enough, your debt for the hit is paid." Xiao Feng said, taunting Toph once more.

Xiao Feng approached Toph, dodging every blow she delivered.

"You don't have to fight, I have something to show you, look." Xiao Feng said as he put his hand on Toph's head.

She thought that Xiao was teasing her again, but before she could attack, she observed something ... Rather, she felt something.

Just when Xiao Feng's hand touched her head, she managed to perceive the world around her.

Xiao smiled upon seeing Toph's shocked expression.

She said nothing and Xiao Feng continued to send the seismic vision signals through Toph.

She couldn't believe what was happening.

'Is this ... how is this?' Toph wondered mentally.

Neither of them said anything for a few seconds until Toph broke the silence.

"Teach me ... Teach me to see the world," Toph said enthusiastically. Xiao Feng also smiled as this would give him some system points, and he would be helping one of his favorite people from the series.

"Ok." It was the confirmation Xiao Feng gave and the one Toph was eagerly awaiting.

A smile from both of them was what closed the deal.
