Uncertainty

Ash ran toward an old tree, covered with vines, at full speed. He couldn't think of anything but the gates, so he envisioned them and closed his eyes, holding the girl tightly.

"Dash!"

"Boom!"

And out they were of the forest. They were outside of the town. Ash was still holding the girl. When he opened his eyes, he looked at his surroundings and then at her.

"Woah, she's pretty!" He thought as he let go of her.

He got up and shook the girl, but she didn't respond.

"Is she unconcious?"

He needed to call the meds.

As he started to pick her up to take her back into the town, something weird happened.

The girl started vanishing. Blue particles sparkled around her as she disappeared. Ash's eyes widened.

"What is happening?" He was bewildered at what he seeing.

And just like that, she disappeared.

Ash's jaw dropped. He turned around, and sprinted through the gates, inside the town. His mind went blank. He stopped as he reached his house, huffing. He went inside and called out to his mom.

"Mom! I need to talk to you! It's an emergency!"

"What is it, Ash?"

"Mom, do humans like us that dissipate into thin air exist in our world?"

"What nonsense are you talk about? It definitely must have been a dream."

Saying that, his mom went back to doing her work.

But Ash was uncertain about all of it being a dream. He had his doubts with definite proof.

The last dream he saw was him being present in an unknown place, where people looked just like that girl, wore clothes just like her. Even she seemed to look bewildered by the parallel cosmos.

Something was definitely up.

He had to somehow solve the mystery.
