40 The Switch, Part 5

The same day, Lyde's pov

As I parted ways with my sister, the breeze that struggles between my legs sent me chills. Why do I have to wear a skirt again? Oh right… Lynn gotta take care of Keto for me. If damned gangsters never existed then I might not have to deal with this! Cursed that Jeiro jerk for bullying Ian.

When I made it to Lynn's school, every student look so rich and fancy. Am I even at the right school? I checked my notes to see the address but it does say that this is the place.

"I never knew my sister goes to such expensive school." I muttered. And before I can take another step into the campus, two girls approached me. They must be Lynn's classmates. "Lynn! We haven't heard much from you! How have you been?"

Well shit. Lynn never told me how I should respond to them, all she ever said was to stay quiet them but wouldn't that be too rude?

"O-Oh, I was doing fine."

Their reactions seems indifferent from what I expected. Aren't they friends with my sister?

"Hm. I guess that's good for you. How about you come along with us again? We'll always welcome you with open arms." Ohh, that's nice! Girls are so friendly, that way I wouldn't get lost inside the school.

"Okay! Thanks." I said nicely. The two only looked at each other with bewildered expressions, but they seem to just shrug it off.

As the three of us are making our way to our class, they both look so curious about me. Did they notice that I'm not Lynn?! I hope not. I can't afford to expose my identity—"Say, what did you do with your vacation? Did you go on a diet or something? And can you atleast share us your skin care routine? You actually changed a lot and look a bit prettier."

Me? Prettier!? Is she saying that a manly guy like me looks pretty!?

"Err… no. Maybe you're just seeing things." Can't they see my manliness? I guess some girls are blind.

Later on, I found out their names. Haley is the girl who first approached me, and seeing her face makes me feel like it's over decorated. Though she's uhmm, kinda cute… I think. Then the other girl is named Natalia, this one is quite odd. She kept throwing some confused gazes at me, and I can't tell why she's doing that. Lynn's friends are a bit weird, how sad for my younger sister.

"Guys, what's first subject? It's gotta be science, right?" Haley asked.

"Yup. Didn't you check the schedule?" They both look back at me and smirked.

"Right… the schedule. Always check the schedule, we'll leave the job to you so you can remind us about it. I hope that's not a problem for you." What a lazy ass student.

"Also—" Natalia added. "—don't try to get in our way with Mr. Lucas next time. If you keep that as a promise, we'll let you stay with us for as long as you like." I just nodded my head to agree and kept on following them. These two probably like that so-called 'Mr. Lucas', though they won't have to worry about me as a rival, I am a man after all.

Making it to the classroom, everyone in the class has their own groups of friends. I'm glad I came across these two or else I'd be like the girl who was at the back of the class, all alone. It's better to have some people on your back.

"Oh, is that Lynn?"

"It is her."

"She changed so much."

Damn these people. Why do they keep noticing me?

Haley also noticed that some of our classmates were talking about me, and it was kind of her to help me. "I think you're gathering too much attention, huh. You'll need this." She tossed me a face mask, what a great friend! She must be worried that I was getting uncomfortable with all the people looking at me.

"Thanks!" I immediately put it on and got my head leaning down. They'll soon shift their attention once I try to lay it low. And right after a few minutes, the first teacher finally came in the classroom.

Haley and Natalia got excited over the guy's presence. Then that guy must be Mr. Lucas. Some girls in the class also got excited over this guy. From what I can see, he's actually a good-looking young dude, but I'm sure I'm way more better than him as a man.

"Good morning class!" His tone was full of energy. And that was enough to make the whole class focus their attention on him. "I see you're still all doing good. I hope you guys fully enjoyed your summer vacation…"

And some of my classmates began sharing their experience from their vacation. It was a relief that classes started that way. No introductions since I assume that everyone else in here already knows each other very well, except for me.

But something bothered me when I glanced at the teacher. I can't tell if Mr. Lucas was staring at me or maybe somewhere near me, am I seeing things? The feeling gave me goosebumps so I just tried not to look at him that much.
