Chapter 18: Some Kind of Beautiful
Andrew was heading back to the one place he hoped he’d never have to see again…the hospital.
Finding his young brother hanging in his small studio apartment had left a bitter taste in his mouth. The memory of that fateful day caused a chill to run through his body.
Andrew parked in the hospital parking lot and was glad to see Steve waiting for him at the hospital entrance. He smiled as he watched his brother chatting merrily to one of the nurses.
Steve’s eyes caught sight of Andrew, and he smiled as he made his way towards the car. Andrew had only dreamed about this day. He was ashamed to admit to himself that he had at one point prepared himself mentally for Steve’s death. Looking at the man walking towards him right now, all he could do was to whisper a humbled, “Thank you!” for his brother’s life.
Just then, he caught sight of Dr. Alejandro. He watched as the other man exited a Ferrari and frowned.
