Chapter 13: Justified?
“Yum! Smells great! What did you ask the lunchroom chef to make for you?” Jane asked when she walked into Ivy’s office and found her seating on the office couches having lunch.
“Some chicken curry and rotis,” Ivy replied as she continued to shove food into her mouth with her hands.
“Do you need me to get you a fork and knife?” Jane asked and Ivy looked at her incredulously.
“Fork and knife? Authentic food like this goes down better when one uses their hand. You put your fingers in it. Tear a piece of the roti and dip it into the rich, creamy curry and slurp it right up!” Ivy demonstrated. “Delicious!” Ivy said after swallowing and gave a chef kiss.
Jane sat down next to her. She picked up a napkin and Ivy put a slice of roti onto the napkin. Jane picked up a wrapped plastic fork and dipped the roti into the curry stew before putting it into her mouth.
