1 Chapter 1 - The Beginning

"You have got to be kidding me! You really are cheating on me with my sister. "

- Sheila Williams.

The truth is that life never offers you what you desire or what you think you deserve and that was the case with Sheila. The only daughter between Matthew Williams and her mother, the maid who was accidentally impregnated twenty three years ago. Sheila was a teacher and a dance instructor at the local dance school while also working as an assistant at her father's business.

The morning bell rung as a young woman with chestnut brown hair and deep blue eyes stepped down from her car. She was wearing a pair of tortoiseshell glasses, black pants and a cream ruffled shirt. She swung her bag and greeted everyone that was entering the school compound happily. Despite all the turmoil surrounding her, she had a huge smile as she stopped to talk to a few of her colleagues and some parents.

"Miss Williams, a bright and beautiful morning to you, how was your night? And how is that dashing young fella I saw with you last night?" One of her colleagues, a cheery old lady popularly known as Mindy asked.

Sheila scuffed as she recounted the last night memories in her head, but she smiled back and said they were all fine. "He is fine and we had a nice time at the restaurant, thank you for asking." She said politely and left to her classroom.

She sank into her seat and put her head on her table, she recollected how she met her sister, half sister to be precise sleeping with her fiancé. She remembered how she had knocked the door and when no one replied, she entered his apartment only to discover clothes strewn on the floor, women underwear on the sofa and her half sister in bed.

She suddenly had a flashback when it was ten years ago, when her and Dylan met in High school. The accident that literally almost claimed his life and made him swear his undying devotion and love to her, fast forward to their relationships all through college and how she has been a support system when the matron of the family passed on.

She remembered the little kisses and the walks in the park, how they danced and went for festivals, carnivals, camps. The way they sat at picnic tables, at restaurants, how he showered her with compliments and praises. The pictures, meeting with family and the plans towards the biggest wedding of the year all this crashing in the past few days.

She lifted her head to see her students marching in from the assembly, "Gosh! How on earth as she slept off before the assembly ended." She scrubbed her eyes as the school headmistress Mrs Collins came in, she was impeccably dressed and her red hair was in a high ponytail.

"Miss Williams, a very good morning to you, or rather a very sleepy morning to you." She chuckled as she went to the notice board behind the class, her faux suede pleated skirt swishing as she went. " Good morning Ma, I am so sorry, I have been feeling very exhausted because of the activities and preparation for the fall event coming up. "

It was usually her dad's personal assistants who ran errands but ever since her sister came back, she has been relegated to coffee errands and carrying stuff. She was usually tired but she had no choice, pursuing an accounting degree on the side wasn't cheap and getting those certifications were not either. It costs time and money.

"Maybe you should take a day off because if that is stressing you how will you cope with energetic seven years old, can I call in a substitute teacher." Mrs Collins asked worried, " No, this is the third time this week, you know what I will get myself checked in the hospital, maybe I'm down with something, maybe the flu." She said as she shook her head to stop the kind woman from getting another temp.

After school Sheila checked herself out and dumped her lunch in the trash bin, that was the third one this week, any time she packed anchovy in her lunch, she just felt terrible and sick even to the point of nausea.

She literally inhaled anchovies normally, now everything was irritating. But she did not have the luxury of time to wonder about her sudden disgust, because she had to see a doctor and her aesthician because her hyperpigmentation had doubled.

She walked briskly to her car, only to meet her dad and well all her family members including her soon to be ex, who she caught cheating. "Hi! Dad... I was just heading out" she managed to get out before her step mother slapped her.

"You shameless dog! You are just like your mother! Have you not seen the news and the videos that are trending on the social media platforms?" Sheila's head hurt as she tried to stabilise herself from falling.

The disappointment on her father's face, the victorious look on her sister and ex-fiance face was damning. Dylan pointed his phone, where she saw herself sleeping with a strange man, it was unbelievable. She looked in horror as she recollected all the strange experiences that happened to her.

"To say that I am disappointed in you, will be the understatement of the century, I never expected this of you. Today! You had better remove the Williams name from your mouth, you are disowned and we came to drop off your luggage. Never come near us or our home. We should be thankful that your sister here brought this to our notice." Her father said shaking his greying hair angrily.

" How disgusting and demeaning this is? You have never allowed me to touch you, yet you sell yourself off to another man." Dylan sneered and spat on her. Looking at her family and the bouncers throwing her things on the ground, Sheila felt so heartbroken but she felt stunned, like she couldn't believe it.

Just as they left, the school management called to tell her, she was not fit for the system and job, she was fired.
