1 Chapter 1 (The Beginning)

It was near midnight in the quiet almost pitch black city where the only lights that illuminated it were the old dusty street lamps.

Our protagonist, Castiel, was driving full speed through the night. The sound of a roaring engine filled the quiet soundless air, scaring people awake.

"FASTER!!!"

He was pushing the car to its limit while still trying to maintain control. Running red lights every couple of seconds to get to his destination. Blasting through speeding cameras.

'Please be safe' was all that Castiel could hear in his head.

Once at his desired destination, Castiel bolted out of his car and charged toward his friend's house. Time was of the essence, Castiel kicked the door wide open. Fear filed his eyes.

What layed on the floor horrified him, if felt like his soul had been forever corrupted.

What laid on the blood soaked floor was one of his best friends, her body was cold and pale. Tears were streaming down his face onto the floor. But unbenounced to him, someone else was in the room.

He was screaming "No" over and over again, pain filling his voice. The crying made his voice crack over and over again.

The footsteps behind him were unnoticeable until they were only a couple feet away, he turned around and saw a black shadow creeping up.

"GET AWAY FROM ME!!!!" Castiel screamed with his cracking voice.

He tried to get up but kept slipping back onto the floor. The shadow got closer and closer, each time it took a step forward Castiel's heart would race even more then before.

Once it was within 5 feet his heart felt like it might explode with fear. It was inevitable to castiel that his doom was near.

It forcefully grabbed Castiel's arm, making him unable to escape.

Still not being able to see anything Castiel screamed "WHO ARE YOU".

He tried to throw punches that wouldn't reach because of how different of an arm span that they had.

"Don't worry it's just me, Kirk." He turned on the dusty old lamp that was near them and revealed that it was indeed him.

"O-O-h thank god it's just you. I-I thought someone e-e-else was here."

Castiel was still a complete mess, tears were running down his cheeks. And his hiccups, caused by the crying, were not letting him talk properly.

"You thought the killer was still here?" Kirk questioned Castiel with a curious expression on his face.

"To be honest, I thought that you were the killer at first."

"HA! That's funny kid" Kirk laughed it off like it was nothing.

Castiel got angry whenever Kirk called him kid even though they were the same age.

"Let's get you fixed up."

Kirk got up and closed the front door as best as he could despite it being broken.

"Go upstairs and get cleaned up, you can use my clothes to dress up."

He then went behind the counter to the kitchen and started to prepare food for Castiel after he took a shower. Castiel looked at his white shirt covered in blood.

Castiel struggled to get up from his original position and climbed the endless flight of stairs to the shower. The image of his best friend's lifeless body was locked inside his memory, and he wanted it to be just a dream.

Whilst going up to the 2nd floor, Kirk looked at the back of Castiel. There was a hint of disgust towards Castiel on his face.

"What you said earlier was right, but it's too late to know that you made a big mistake."
