15 What A Small World!

John placed the laptop in front of Catherine. "He is the same guy---right?" he asked pointing at the mother and son duo standing side by side during the ribbon-cutting ceremony in front of a newly opened bakery.

Catherine bit her lip and shakes her head in amazement. "Wow, what a small world!" that's the only word that came out of her mouth.

John scratches his head...he was pondering for a moment how to accept this... his one-time rival was also his half brother. Meaning, he and his brother like and love the same woman? Ugh!

Catherine was amused. Mike...her quirky friend was now his brother-in-law! This is just one of life's wonderful surprises!

John looked at his wife. "Why are you smiling, wife?" he asked frowning.

Catherine continues beaming. "I can't imagine how will Mike accept this and what will be his reaction upon knowing that we are all related by one another..."

He shut down his laptop and put it back in the table. He went back to baby James's crib and carry his son in his arms into the bed to continue playing with him.

Catherine was observing John's face. "Are you okay with the revelation of your life, hubby?"

John looked at Catherine with a serious face. "What can I do? My parents' mistake is something that happened a long time ago when I wasn't born yet. I just have to accept everything with an open mind and heart, besides having more than one mother is not that bad," he said. " Wife, you can't tell my mother about it. We still have to find the right time to tell her everything, it's not the right time yet, so keep everything a secret for now...okay?"

She nodded her head. "Yes, I will. Don't worry hubby, your secret is safe with me," she replied.

"Thanks...wifey!"

"So...when you and your biological mother going to meet each other for a formal introduction?" she asked.

"My father is still in the process of arranging a meeting with her, maybe within this week," he answered.

"Okay, that's nice!" she said.

"I want you to go with me when I meet my biological mother, Cath," he said.

"No. I can't...who will take care of baby James and baby Angel?" Catherine said.

John sighed. "Anna can take care of the babies, besides we won't stay longer outside, how about... we bring baby Angel and baby James and also Anna with us so that you don't have to worry, okay? Just say yes please, it's about time you have to venture outside this building. You have to get over your trauma, Cath," he pleaded.

Catherine realized that two months had passed quickly, she was not able to set foot outside the Infinity Jade Tower since she was released from captivity. Maybe it's about time to face the world outside and bring back the normalcy in her life once and for all. Besides, she has nothing to worry anymore... her husband, her father-in-law, Ramon and George will be there to protect her, no harm will come to her. It doesn't take long to convince herself to say...yes. She just can't say no to her husband's pleading eyes.

"Okay, I and the babies will go with you!" she finally said.

John smiled and hugged his wife tightly. "Thanks...Cath!"

He called his father on his cellphone, the moment his father answered his call he blurted the news.

"Dad, tell my mother Susan that I will be bringing my wife and my two babies and the nanny with me and also my bodyguards...Ramon and George and you of course," he said.

Hector laughed. "Okay, I just finished talking with her a few minutes ago. I will call her again to tell her that the whole town is coming to meet her," he said.

John smiled. "Talk to you later, Dad," he said and ended the call.

Catherine's eyes twinkled.

"Are you excited to meet your real mother and your half brother?" she asked.

He raised his brow. "I don't know what to expect, I already meet her once at the airport, that was when my dad and I send your sister and my mother to the airport. I didn't know about the truth yet during that time. As for Mike, my gay half brother...let see...I will know if I will meet them again..."

John's phone starts ringing, it's his father who is calling again.

"Hello Dad," he said.

"Son, Susan will meet us in her residence this weekend on Sunday, lunchtime," he said.

"Okay, Sunday then...thanks, Dad!

"Bye son," Hector said.

"Bye Dad, see you tomorrow," John said. He placed his phone on the bedside table and turn his attention towards baby James and his wife. "The meeting will take place this coming Sunday, lunchtime at Susan's house," he said to Catherine.

"Okay, that's good," she commented and smiled sweetly at her husband.

"Let's get out of this room and eat dinner," John said.

"Okay," she responded.

Catherine carries baby Angel in her arms and John does the same to baby James, the couple exited the room carrying their little bundle of joy.
