2 Revelation

After their wonderful lovemaking, the couple sat down close to each other on the lounge chair, relaxing while admiring the view of the city.

John has been waiting for this moment to tell Catherine everything.

When the silence becomes unbearable...

He coughed a little, clearing the lump in his truth.

"Cath, I have something to tell you," he said. If only there is another way, he doesn't want to be the bearer of bad news.

Catherine glanced at her husband, he was projecting a serious face and there's something else... in his eyes. "Go on, hubby, tell me about it," she coaxed him, sensing that what he was about to tell her won't be a pleasant issue to discuss with. The hesitation was written all over his face.

"Just promise me first that... after I tell you everything, you won't hate me," he said.

Catherine released a deep sigh, feeling afraid of his revelation. "What is it? D-did you have an affair with another woman while I'm in captivity?" She stared at her husband's face wanting to see his reaction with her question, fearing for the worst.

John shook his head vigorously. "No of course not! I swear to God, I don't have an affair with any woman while you are in captivity. You can ask Ramon, my driver and bodyguard can attest to that," he said.

Catherine closed her eyes feeling relieved. "Okay go on... continue..."

"Promised me that you will listen to my story first before you react. I will answer all your questions one by one, just... please don't be angry, just keep a calm mind the whole time I'm doing the talking," he pleaded.

Catherine sighed. "Okay, I will keep my silence while you're talking... continue..."

John took a deep breath. "When you were held in captivity, during the first day, baby James was getting restless and then Minerva resigned from her job being our son's nanny because she was already accepted as a caregiver abroad. She suggested to hire your twin sister and trained her to be our son's nanny, in fairness Caroline has been a good nanny to our son," he said.

He paused for a moment after seeing Catherine's face went sour. He knows very well that his wife doesn't like her twin sister to stay with them under one roof.

Catherine sighed, isn't it ironic? The thing that she was dreading finally happened while she was away, worst, Caroline and her husband were living under one roof without her presence, what a cruel joke indeed!

"So what happen between you and my sister?" She looked at him in the eyes trying to catch his reaction to her question. She was expecting the worst-case scenario already since she knew her sister so well. Her proving eyes bore into his.

John released a deep sigh. "Nothing happens between me and your sister, I swear to God that we didn't do anything that could break your trust in me. I'm not interested in your sister, please believe me..."

Catherine stared at her husband, the level of sincerity was overflowing in his eyes. She can feel in her heart that he was telling the truth. "I believe you... husband," she finally said.

Huge relief washed over John. He was expecting an angry wife, but thanks God she did not make things more complicated for him. But her next question caught him off guard...

"D-did my sister seduce you?" she asked point-blank.

John was not able to answer right away, he cleared another huge lump that formed in his throat. He should tell her the truth now, as long the truth is already out, it will be easier for them to move on. "She did, but... she did not go physical on me, she just wears provocative clothes and one time she waited outside our bedroom door and..." he can't go on.

Catherine throws her husband a glare. "And what? continue! Did you two had sex!?" now her fury was growing in leaps and bounds. She was deluged with intense jealousy, John did mention of her sister taking care of baby James for some time when Minerva resigned, then later he hired a new nanny which was Anna. But now, it seems something happened during that period? God, she couldn't stomach her sister having sex with her husband, it will surely kill her!

"No! We didn't do that kind of stuff you are talking about!" John insisted. "She told me upright that if you can no longer be found then she wants me to marry her after 5 years. She waited outside the room to seduce me but I shut the door on her face resulting one of her fingers get caught on the door and it was bleeding, I told her that I won't marry anyone, that I will continue finding you until the day I die. Then I threatened to fire her as baby James nanny if she continues seducing me, so she stopped from that moment on forward. She no longer wore sexy clothes and no longer attempted to seduce me, she becomes a changed woman after that incident," he explained.

John was feeling relieved inside after revealing the truth to his wife. Now one more revelation left to go...

Catherine's hands formed into a fist, she was indignant that her sister was trying to seduce her husband while she was being kidnapped! Damn that stupid slutty sister of mine! She gritted her teeth in anger. "Wait here... I will call that devil sister of mine!" she said angrily.

She was about to storm out of the pool room and call her sister in Thailand but John's hands were holding her back preventing her from exiting the room, prompting her to sit down...

"Please sit down, Cath, let's finish this. I need to tell you another thing..." his voice trailed off. He previously told her that after her parents come home from the US, his mother and Caroline strikes a friendship and bonded well together, and right now her twin sister accompanied his mother in Thailand for a vacation. That's what she knows.
