6 Family Reunion
~Sunday, Family Day~
Catherine can't contain her excitement, any moment from now her entire family including Grace and her friend Sherry will be arriving in the Infinity Jade Tower for a reunion.
It will be the first time they will see each other again after she was freed from captivity.
Sandra, Romeo's wife volunteered to organize the menu for the family get-together.
It will be the first time her mother, Thelma will see baby Angel... her 2nd grandchild from her.
John entered the bedroom, smiling. "The family is now inside the elevator, Cath, let's greet them... " he said.
The couple exited the bedroom carrying the babies in their arms.
When the door opened, the visitors were squealing in excitement and happiness in seeing Catherine again, they quickly gathered around Catherine and John to see the babies.
Grace took baby Angel in her arms so that Thelma, Catherine, and the kids can talk to each other.
They went to the living room area and sat down on the sofa.
Thelma hugged her daughter tightly, tears of relief emerge from her eyes feeling so happy that Catherine finally returns after months of being kidnapped. "I'm so glad they finally release you, my child. Did they hurt you?" she asked worriedly.
"No, Mother. I'm just held captive with another woman but they did not hurt me and I was allowed to give birth to baby Angel as well. Now I'm home, God is really good he saves me from captivity and allowed me to go home safely."
Thelma hugged her daughter again wanting to make sure that this isn't a dream, and she was very much happy to see her daughter again with her own two eyes.
Lily looked at her older sister. "Sister Catherine, we miss you so much!"
Catherine smiled broadly at her sister, she hugged the little girl. "I miss you too, Lily!"
Jacob comes forward and stared grimly at his older sister. "When I grow up, I wanted to be a cop so that I can catch the people who kidnap you, sister, I will put them behind bars so that they can no longer get out," he said.
Catherine looked at her younger brother, amused, he had grown so fast! "Look at you Jacob, you are now turning into a teenager!" she commented.
Jacob smirked.
Catherine hugged Jacob and messed up his curly hair with her hands. "You wanna go swimming in the pool kids?"
"Yes!" Jacob and Lily responded.
"Okay, go now there in the pool area, Tita Anna is already waiting for you guys there with marshmallow and barbecue," Catherine said.
"Yeheeeey!" Lily and Jacob screamed in glee, they sprinted towards the location of the pool area.
Thelma was holding baby Angel in her arms super delighted to get acquainted with her second grandchild.
Grace and Sherry approached Catherine, the ladies take each turn hugging her.
"I'm glad you're finally released, cousin, I'm so thankful to God that he heard our prayers!" Grace said, misty-eyed.
Sherry smiled at her friend with tears in her eyes. "Welcome back, Cath! God is so good! Good simply triumphed over evil!"
They embraced again, so emotional that tears nearly spilled from their eyes.
"Thank you, ladies, for the prayers. While I'm being held in captivity I've been missing and thinking of you all. I never thought they will finally release me one day and here I am talking to you again. Feels like I'm still dreaming," Catherine said while sniffling.
"Did they hurt you, Cath?" Sherry asked she was not able to hold back her curiosity.
Catherine shook her head. "Surprisingly, they didn't. I'm just thankful to God they did not subject me to physical torture," she answered.
"Did you know who kidnap you? Have you seen their faces?" Grace asked.
"They were wearing face mask all the time, the only thing I can see was their nose and eyes, then I also hear their voices every time they were talking, but other than that I have no idea how they look like because they never take off their mask in front of me," she explained.
"Chances are, if you meet them again without their mask, you will never be able to identify them, am I right?" Sherry said.
Catherine nods her head. "Yes, unless they will start talking in front of me, I can identify them," she agreed.
"Okay... let's stop talking about the kidnapping girls, instead we will discuss the happy moments, today is a celebration of your return into our lives, Cath, let's celebrate!" Grace said.
Catherine and Sherry smiled.
"Yes! We will have a wonderful celebration today!" Grace said.
The activity for the day started in the pool area, then during noontime they moved to the dining room area to take part in a sumptuous lunch attended by Hector, John's father, then after lunch, they watched movies in the mini-theater.
Getting tired of watching movies, they continue chatting in the living room area and have a live karaoke session...
They have dinner at 6:00 in the evening.
By 8:00 in the evening, the visitors were ready to go home, a bright smile was plastered on their faces. John, Hector, and Catherine accompanied the visitors to the ground floor of the building.
The car was already waiting for them at the entrance.
Ramon started the engine after all the visitors finally boarded the vehicle, they waved goodbye to the couple, the vehicle was now moving away from the building and seconds later they were now traveling in the busy highway.
Back in the building.
The couple smiled at each other.
"Happy, Cath?" John asked.
"Yes!" she answered with elation.
Another car parked in the entrance of the building driven by George.
Hector smiled at the sweet looking couple. "I also have to go home now, kids," he said. "See you tomorrow!" he walked towards the car.
"See you tomorrow, Dad!" John and Catherine replied and waved at him.
After the car disappeared from their vision, the couple entered the building and went to the elevator's area, inside the elevator, they were gazing lovingly at each other's face, their eyes radiating with happiness.
John hugged his wife. "I love you so much, Cath," he murmured
"I love you more, hubby," she responded.
Then they shared a passionate kiss inside the elevator, they only stopped kissing each other when the elevator finally landed on the 15th floor.
