But the sound of glasses shattering downstairs grabbed her attention. Was Dimitri and his father back?

Adeline was quick to hide the phone. Just to be sure that it was indeed them, she left the room for the stairs and began to descend to the first floor.

What were all the shattering noises? Was he raging or something? Could it be because of the incident?
