6 Chapter 6; Do you think that you can walk...

"You actually don't need to do this!" She stammered while she wrapped her hands around his neck securing herself, she knew she was hurting but being carried like this wasn't her expectation.

She had thought the man would throw a cheque on her face or something else, looking at her with contempt and disgust but no, even though he was cold and distant, he didn't show any of those.

"Do you think you can walk down to the parking lot on your own without attracting attention?" He gazed at her flushed face before facing forward.

She hadn't thought about that, her walking style sure would attract people's eyes and everyone would know what happened behind closed doors.

He walked through the hallway and took the private elevator down to the private parking lot.

His bodyguards were already there on standby with the driver, he walked towards the lonely parked Mercedes Benz.

The bodyguards opened the back door, bent over and placed her on the backseat, and buckled the safety belt securing her.

Once her butt touched the seat, she winced in pain, "sssss.." she instinctively sucked in the cold air responding to the pain and turned around to glance at the car door but saw Mu Shen's eyes pinned on her, he frowned before gently closing the door.

He walked to the other side and got inside before closing the door.

"Where to Master Mu?" The driver sat down and ignited the engine as he inquired, the bodyguards also boarded a security car which was behind them.

"To the Mu Resident.." that one word thudded in her chest violently. What she didn't want to hear was the Mu family.

" Mu Resident.. " she mumbled as her face turned pale, he wouldn't be from the same Mu family, would he? Is he returning me back to my husband? Does he know that I'm married to the Mu grandson?

Her eyes watered while thinking of the unthinkable, she then remembered something very important to use as an excuse.

" I forgot to get my suitcase from the guards. " She softly spoke out with her bowed head.

" It's okay. " He motioned one guard to come over and instructed him what to do. He couldn't give her a chance to run.

Not only did he know she had walked in late last night but he also knew she was married to his nephew and it was surprising enough that she was a virgin.

" I want to... " She wanted to run away, she didn't want to step into the Mu Mansion and see that scum husband of hers.

"What else?" He slightly glanced and studied her face which had turned pale while she bit her lower lip looking aggrieved, she looked lonely and desolated.

She just didn't want to return to the Mu family, "I want to go back home.." she fought back the tears that were threatening to spill down.

"Home? Which home?" He closed his eyes and leaned back on the seat comfortably, his secretary had taken only seconds to get all the information about her.

"Home?" She mumbled the word softly, yes she didn't have a home nor a place she would call home now.

"I said I will be responsible and you will get married to me, your home will be our home and that's what you should be thinking about." He knew she might have developed wild imaginations and he had to cut them off.

" Our home? " She was surprised, she didn't have a place to call home, will this be her first home? She felt relieved maybe this was another Mu family.

The bodyguard brought the worn-out suitcase and packed it in the boot.

"Let's go." Master Mu's low and commanding voice ordered the driver before he ignited the engine and began driving away.

The man closed his eyes before leaning on the back of his seat while he massaged his temple, he was cold and distant.

Zhou Meili didn't say a word more and even if she felt like she was struggling to breathe.

His aura was strong that made Zhou Meili nervous, she wanted to minimize her presence inside the car, she was nervous and shaking all over.

"Switch off the air conditioner." He ordered with his eyes still closed, the driver hurriedly change to a heater and it began warming up.

The entire cozy car warmed up, at least she didn't shiver much, she turned around to glance at him but his eyes were closed and were so cold, she couldn't read any emotions from his frigid face.

She wanted to ask him his name but feeling embarrassed she turned away and glanced at the street lamps.

In the Maple Valley Villa, Mu Rong was waking up as he stretched his arms lazily, he glanced sideways at the woman who was sleeping soundly beside him before gently pecking her forehead.

He woke up and dressed up in a bathrobe before going down to the kitchen, he saw his maids were busy cleaning and making some breakfast.

"Did she come back?" He inquired worriedly as his eyes roamed around the place aimlessly.

"No she didn't Young Master Mu.." the maid responded as they went on with their duties.

"All right, serve me my breakfast." He walked out of the kitchen and went up to his bedroom to freshen up.
