"Pessimistic qualities," My writing was interrupted by Nate walking into my room and then tackling me. "Luz," He said. He then laid his head gently on my stomach and hugged my waist, as he always does when he gets home.

Nate is my step-brother and best friend, we do everything together. It's hard to tell we're even partially related. I have dirty blonde hair and light brown eyes.

Nate has dark brown hair and dark gray almost black eyes. I remembered we used to always almost get in trouble at school because we would fuss with the other students whenever they would say "You aren't related! You don't even look alike!" I smiled to myself.

I found it funny how every time Nate hugged my waist I felt different. Not a bad difference, but in a sense, I felt safe. I completely forgot he'd asked a question.

"Yeah what's up?" I ask. He looks up at me with small tears rolling off of his cheeks.

"She broke up with me," the small tears that were slowly falling, start storming. I hold him close and stroke his hair. As he clings on to me, hugging me as if I'm the last thing he can hold on to.

Oh, wait. I am.
