Chapter 9: Lady Lilith Avaleon of Anemos
Another year past and i'm now in the age of 8, the past days were spent with me training and i got accustomed to this routine.
My body is already in one third of my previous body's strength, and it's a good think.
Because if i compare my strength to this world i'm comparable to an average soldier.
And i'm quick on my feet because this body is very light and it's still a kid's body so i can be a bit more faster.
Though i heard the card can give you more agility and strength but i don't want to use it yet, not yet.
I prepared my training stuff and walks lazily towards my places. Before doing my usual training i did a few deep breaths and sat down and meditate.
Meditation is very good for the body it can train your awareness and can help you achieve clearer mind and good health to your mentality and can calm and stable your emotional state.
After meditating for an hour i did my stretching and running and lastly stretching just like the first time i went for the basics, stick swinging, body kicking and axe kicking.
But this time i added more i did a combination of martial arts techniques.
I've been doing this when i started to feel like my body is already ready for more practices... At first i did combination of kicks then added some punches after a month and then added a few difficult combinations and when i become accustomed, i executed all combinations i remember.
After the warm up i took a few deep breath and places my feet away from each other in an appropriate and did a karate kata, Unsu.
I was very immerse with my performance when i finished i heard an applause, startled i turn my head towards the culprit and saw the person i never saw again for 2 years.
I don't know why but..
"Your grace!!" My body suddenly have its own mind.
I rushes towards him with a wide smile but suddenly halted, causing me to trip and hit my face on the ground.
"Awy!" Ah i was probably missing the act of being a kid that i unintentionally blurted that shriek loud.
Why did i halted? Because beside the duke is a girl, taller than me and has an aura of a noble.
"Be careful" i heard the duke said and help me up on the floor i rub my aching forehead and nose and stared at the duke with a teary eyes.
Not like i can stop this eyes of mine.
"Does it hurt?" I nod vigorously, i have no idea why i am acting like a kid.. Probably because there's a part of me that misses him.
He smiles and kisses my forehead and nose j got flustered and panics making him chuckles.
"You're acting a kid again"
"But i am a kid"
"Don't sass at me now" he flicks my ear making me pout.
"But i'm glad" i stared at him confuse and he just smiled and picks me up and throws me in the air, my eyes widen and stared at him horrified.
"Oh that doesn't work anymore" he teases and i angrily puff my cheeks and turns my head away.
Things i did when i was kid makes me embarrass.
Especially when it's him who's pointing it out.
"Anyway i brought my daughter" i stared lazily at the lady staring at us in shock.
I immediately did the church's bow and greeted her.
"Greetings Lady- " i pause and i heard the duke cough her name and i immediately copied him pretending i didn't cheated.
"-Lilith Avaleon of Anemos, i am Suzue Reed child of the church, it's an honour to meet you"
She curtsied like how a noble does and smiled at me, though it didn't reaches her eyes but i could sense the impress and envy on them.
"It's nice to meet you too, Miss Reed"
"You can call me Ezu, lady lilith" i felt a hand placed on my mind and i lazily stared at the owner.
"I brought her so you could with each other when i heard you isolated yourself on your trainings, this daughter of mine is being immerse with her studies an her fiance so i thought you two would get along"
"Ohhh" i listlessly exclaimed and smiled at the lady.
"Then shall we have our own tea party?"
She smiled and gracefully nod, we started walking back to the church with the duke tailing behind us.
"You are very pretty My lady, your hair compliments your skin the most" she giggles and touches her hair.
"Well i actually hate my hair" my eyes widen and stared at her in disbelief.
"Eh? You should not my lady, you are really pretty, look at this white hair of mine it make me look old"
I felt the duke flinch at my words and i could feel a pair of eyes digging a hole in my head,.
Lady lilith laugh softly and touches my hair.
"It actually suits you Suzue, It makes you look pretty, you have a nice pair of pink eyes too"
I pouted and stared in front.
"It makes me look like a certain person who didn't bother to visit me for two years"
Lady seemed amuse and laughs.
This time it was genuine and really beautiful i couldn't help but become entrance at her.
"What's wrong?" She asks after noticing my stares, i smiled lazily and traces my finger on her cheek bones.
"Suzue?"
When i notice my actions i immediately retracted my hand and grinned shyly,
"Sorry you were so pretty i couldn't help my self"
Her cheeks become red and she become very flustered and i felt a pain in my head a second later.
"Don't flirt with daughter!"
"I am not! I'm just stating the truth!"
We started bickering when suddenly we heard an enchanting laughter we turn our head towards the owner and gasp in awe.
When she laughs her eyes closes and wrinkles beautifully, and it seems like everything shines, it might sound absurd but it's the truth, you couldn't help but smile.
"See?"
"Yeah, you're right"
The duke smiled too and that's when i sees the similarities of this two... They are really indeed a pair of father an daughter.
Both cold yet warm, Stoic yet soft, Scary yet beautiful... And they both manage to make me do something i hardly do.
I laugh...
I laugh so loud that everything started becoming blurry and feels like it was just the three of us.. I want more of this.
