Captain of the Guards

The attack had already started, while most of the guards were busy fighting the Wild Dogs with the help of some adventurers, in the northern part of the town, attackers were murdering the town's people, taking everything that was valuable, and taking with them some of the young women and children they encountered.

Some of the adventurers who did not go to help the guards, and who had families living in the northern part went to help and fight the attackers, unfortunately, the adventurers were far fewer compared to the hundred attackers, so quickly many of them died at the hands of the attackers.

But it would not take long for someone to warn the guards and adventurers at the entrance about what was happening.

"Hell!" Shouted Vice-Captain Glover at the news. - "Taylor!"

"What's wrong Glover?" - Taylor approached the Vice-Captain who was still fighting the remaining Wild Dogs.

"Go to town with the adventurers quickly."

"Eh? What's going on?"

"Bandits have attacked the northern part." - Glover said as he finished with another wild dog. - "We the guards will finish off the remaining wild dogs, you and the adventurers go help the townspeople."

"Are you sure?"

"Just do it!" - Glover shouted desperately.

"It is understood." - Taylor said. - "All adventurers! Follow me! "

While Glover approached Evans.

"We have to hurry; the townspeople need us."

"What's going on?" - Asked Evans who had not heard the conversation between Glover and Taylor, and who was surprised to see the adventurers leave for the town.

"Bandits, the damn bandits have attacked the town from the north." - Glover said.

"Bandits ?!" - Suddenly, Evans began to attack with more force and brutality the wild dogs that were heading towards him.

"Yes, so we must kill the monsters in this place and go in and help."

"Yes Sir!" - Evans said that he began to fight more savagely, regardless of whether he received some injuries in the process, because he wanted to hurry to go fight against the bandits.

In the Mayor's Mansion, hearing the screams of the people being attacked, Kane finally could not take it anymore, getting up from his seat.

"It's time to get the hell out of here!"

"Yes sir." – said the guard who was disappointed in the stand of Kane that left the townspeople alone to be killed by the bandits.

"Kane! What are you doing?" - Carmen who was still seated asked the Captain, while Derka and other bodyguards of the mayor weaker than him stood in the way of the guards.

"Maybe you don't see me, I'm going to help the townspeople."

"Are you planning to disobey my husband, Kane?"

"So is."

"You're an Idiot." - Carmen said, who knocked on her husband's door.

"What's going on?" - said Malvin, who was somewhat annoyed at being interrupted while having fun.

"Darling, fool Kane wants to disobey your orders."

"How?!" - Malvin approached Kane, he only had on his robe that prevented everyone from seeing him naked. - "Kane! What does this mean?"

"Don't you hear the cries of your people, the people out there are dying, and it is my duty as the Captain of the Guards to protect the citizens of the Town of Hope."

"Don't be stupid Kane, I forbid you to go out. Glover and the people of the guild are more than capable of protecting the worthless townspeople from some stupid attackers. "

"!" - Kane got angry at Malvin's words and started walking towards the exit.

"Kane! Don't you dare go! "

"I must go, because there are people who need my help and that of my guards."

The other guards nodded at the words of their captain.

"Of course not!" - shouted Malvin. - "Don't you dare leave, if you leave, everyone will be fired from their post for not obeying me, Kane. Your duty is to serve me!"

"My duty is to protect the townspeople!" - Kane shouted, who then began to leave there, but at the exit, Derka and the other bodyguards prevented the exit of Kane and his guards.

"Where to Captain?" - Derka was smiling. - "I can't let you go; you heard my boss; you and your guards stay here."

"Step aside Derka." - Kane said.

"And what if I don't?" - Derka asked with a smile as he approached Kane. - "Eh, Captain?"

"Tch."

"Come on, obey the boss, otherwise, he assured you that you will regret it."

"I don't have time to put up with your crap." - Kane said who pushed Derka aside.

"Good luck out there." - Derka said with a smile. - "You will need it."

Kane continued his way out along with the other guards, heading towards where the attackers were causing death and destruction.

"Damn you Kane!" - Angry, the Mayor hit the chair where Kane was sitting recently. - "Close the doors! I don't want any bandits to enter into MY mansion! "

And, Malvin returned to his room, slapping the earthling on the face. - "What are you waiting for? Serve me!"

Meanwhile outside the room of the mayor.

"You heard my husband Derka, don't let anyone enter our Mansion."

"So, shall I do my lady." - said Derka who, along with the other bodyguards, were guarding the entrances and exits of the mansion.

"Come on Orlando, it's time for you to make me feel good." - Carmen said to the earthling who followed her to her room.

With Kane in command, the guards next to him quickly began engaging in battle with the first attackers they encountered on the way, quickly eliminating them.

At the adventurer guild building, Don Armando finally arrived together with his family and other people.

"Stay here." - Don Armando said to his family.

"Where are you going?" – Mrs. Julieta held her husband's right arm.

"You know where." - Don Armando said.

"It's very dangerous."

"But I must go."

"You can die."

"I know."

"..." – Mrs. Julieta did not want to let go of her husband, so Don Armando approached and gave her a kiss on the forehead.

"You know very well the type of person I am."

"..." - she began to cry.

"Let me go help him, I shouldn't have left him alone." - Don Armando said. - "The situation is worse than I thought."

"He will be fine, surely he will be fine, so… don't go."

"What if something happens to him? I would never forgive me. "
